Our room at the Ginger Lily (room 5) was one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in, with high cathedral ceiling, carved wooden four-poster bed and excellent amenities, including a hammock on the balcony overlooking the courtyard and pool. The lush plants and flowers around the the hotel are lovely, as they are in all St Lucia. Reduit beach is two minutes walk away, as are excellent restaurants. The hotel staff were generally friendly and helpful, with the slight exception of a young girl on reception when we arrived, who was preoccupied and offhand. Later in our stay she inquired whether we, an interracial male couple, were brothers, and when we told her we were gay she seemed fascinated and became a little more friendly. Breakfast service was a bit haphazard but adequate. Overall I would recommend the hotel wholeheartedly for its charm and the beautiful, spacious and well-furnished room.

It is clean, has internet access in room, and minimum conditions. The surrounding restaurants are very good, especially Buzz.

The first obvious problem with this hotel is that there in NO WAY to shut the windows. There was a strong wind blowing and the room was like a wind tunnel. Since we were facing the main street, the noise was also unbearable. The air conditioning did not work and complaining did no good. Cannot recommend this hotel

My main complaints are 1. You cannot close the windows. All there are are unmovable shutters. There was a heavy wind my night there and the room was not comfortable. 2. The room was right on the main street in a party zone so it was very noisy all night long (couldn't close the windows yyou know. 3. Neither air conditioner worked. I am very glad I only spent one night there.

Great location within Rodney Bay. The young staff member was not really helpful but others were excellent. Rooms a relly nice with separate room for cooking, etc. Plan out your in island travel because the taxis are expensive. Overall. we liked the hotel and pool Stayed 3/23/09 - 3/24/09

The hotel room was very nice; however, the ambiance of the hotel was spoilt by constant loud music played over the high-hi system in the reception area and channelled to the gazibo ... at times, the television in the restaurant was also very loud.

We really enjoyed our visit to St. Lucia and our stay the Ginger Lilly. We prefer the smaller boutique hotels vs the bigger resort hotels and Ginger Lilly did not disappoint. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The location is great for a short walk to the beach, close to Rodney Bay nightlife and little farther to the grocery. The hotel is in good shape and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again, its a great value for money.

We stayed here the first and last night of our trip (~15 min from Vigie) This hotel exceeded all of our expectations. The welcome area and courtyard are beautiful! Rooms are spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Bed was great, but the pillows could be bigger. Bathrooms have very large, tiled, walk-in showers. The beach is only a short walk across the road. many bars, restaurants, shopping, are withing walking distance. You will not be disappointed!

Most wonderful hotel stay my family has ever had. Staff was amazing and location is wonderful. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Very easy access to all of the island and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to St. Lucia, without a doubt the best kept secret on the island.
