The non-smoking room had burn marks on the bed spread and around the room. The elevator smelled of smoke. Staff was courteous. Room was clean but dated. Overall very satisfied for the price. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel seemed a big aged and the rooms reflected that. It did seem more like an apartment building than a hotel. But okay for the price.

If you have a family and you want to save on food, bring groceries and cook there. There are not a lot of places to eat nearby, not even fast food. Close to the other bank of the river, you could even walk the bridge. You need a car to get to the beaches. For the price, it was OK. I was not familiar with the Extended Stay brand. Two staff members, Clay and Amber were super. We were strangers to the area and they were very helpful in finding eating places and other sites we needed. The room appeared clean but the carpet, mattresses and lounge chair appeared old and soiled. Clay and Amber made up for these short comings.

My husband and I stayed here because we had a conference in downtown Jacksonville and this location was less than a mile from our conference. Other the convenient location, this hotel is really bad. I felt dirty the entire time we were there. The whole place smelled like smoke and our comforter even had a couple of cigarette holes in it - we were in […] a non-smoking room. I ended up getting sick on the second day, and had to stay at the hotel while my husband attended the conference. Check-out was at noon, and we requested a late check-out of 3pm so I didn't have to stay in the car (sick) while my husband was at the conference. The front desk staff showed absolutely *no* empathy, and said they'd have to charge us for a full night's stay for the additional three hours. I guess that's why the hotel was almost empty. In this economy, service is *everything*, and had they taken that tiny step to show some compassion, or help us in any way we could've forgiven everything else that was wrong with the hotel. I only was in town one night for business and this hotel was perfect for it. Hotel staff isn't very helpful at night but then again who needs a lot of help at night. I would stay there again if I was in town again for business in Jax.

Great price for a suite. Downtown location w public transportation to anywhere in the city. Block to airport bus. Quiet hotel.

This worked well for us for a fun night on the town in Jax. The elevator was a little funky, a couple more pillows in the room would have been nice, and it did not have the hair dryer as I expected. Otherwise, great! I wish there were more extended stay motels in places I want to travel!

I f you are traveling alone on business, not planning to meet people in the lobby, etc., this hotel is a bargain. It is just one block from the St. Johns River, but has no restaurant or coffee bar. The rooms do have kitchenettes and my room had a queen=size bed. However, there was no mattress pad on the bed and the bottom sheet was just a flat sheet […] and apparently not quite large enough for the maqttress as it kept coming out and winding up in a in the middle of the bed. But the location was very good for me and I didn't plan to have visitors and restaurants werefairly close. Breakfast next door at a Hampton and Extended Stay referred me there. Very convenient to the Proton Institute for the three day pre-radiation treatment. Small but with the needed conveniences.

I heard some horror stories about hotels in Jacksonville, especially the cheap ones. One problem you have to consider when staying in Jacksonville is that CAB SERVICE (almost) DOESN'T EXIST. I heard stories prior to my arrival that the cabs just don't pick you up, and it's true. I called a couple cab companies, even followed up after an hour+ and they […] never came. Reason i mention this is that the hotel is in a great location - walking distance to everything that i wanted to go to. Everything was great, except for the queen size bed. It was a very old very worn matress. It was hard on the back and sunk in the middle. If they update the beds, it's a great place to say when in town for work or play. Close to all of downtown and the landing.

I'm a frequent traveler: this hotel may get my best rating for cost vs.hotel stay, if this hotel changes rates then my statement is void, but overall I give a thumbs up. Staff courteous but had limited knowledge of area, but they even had a bottle opener on hand.

The Bed was totally without padding or support. I slept in the recliner instead.

This was the kind of hotel experience that makes you want to pay a bit more for something better. The first time I put my feet on the rug I knew I'd be keeping my shoes on it the room. Great price for the area, and it was nice to have the kitchen facilities. The carpet was not as clean as I would like (there were several old stains), but everything else was good. After doing much research, I found this hotel to be the best value in the area during my recent stay. While I didn't need a full kitchen, that was definitely an added bonus. Room was comfortable & quiet. Surrounding area is safe. I had no concerns and would highly recommend staying here, especially if you're trying to save money. On the water accessible to everything

We stayed here on a short visit. Great staff! Kind and helpfull! Really clean place as well! Only thing is that the bed was hard as a rock and both my wife and I hurt like crazy in the morning.

We stayed here because of close proximity to The Jacksonville Landing and the reasonable price. When we walked into the room, it smelled like greasy food and cigarette smoke. This was a "non-smoking" room. The carpet was disgustingly dirty. And the bed felt like it had lumps of coal in it. Neither my wife or I slept more than 1 hour. This hotel is probably the most reasonable priced of good hotels new convention and other primary sites downtown. Service was good, employees helpful.

The hotel was clean. The staff were very informative and helpful.

We were installing a new exhibit at MOSH downtown, Savage Ancient Seas, and found the convenience of this hotel perfect. Lots of great places to eat in the vicinity. River taxi located at the brewery next to the museum to get across to restaurants and shopping on the other side of the river. My only wish is that they had a pool! We had a pleasant experience staying here. The room was clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location was good. No complaints.

This hotel was clean, the kitchen facilities in the room were nice (and simple), and the staff was friendly. As other reviews have pointed out the beds were a bit stiff, but overall the place was clean and was in a good spot for access to the freeway/downtown.

The room was nice with a cute kitchen. The only down side was an odor in the room. No wake-up service, but a clock radio provided. No frills but worth the rate we paid. Would use the facility again.

Unfortunately I was not happy with this place. My room "looked" clean but had an awful odor. I left the window open all night to air it out. I was disappointed that there wasn't even a hairdryer available in the room or at the front desk. It had a small kitchen but there wasn't any dish detergent/paper towels or cloth to wash the dishes.
