My stay at the Super 8 in Brookshire was a very nice experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, yes, I checked the bedding and mattress simply because you hear bad stories about some hotels. The AC worked great as well as the fridge and TV. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and again clean. I've read a few comments that some of the bathroom fixtures were painted. Yes, the toilet had been painted but it wasn't peeling or anything else and it matched the bathroom so a painted toilet wasn't a concern to me. My family and I did go to use the pool but it was really cold. It was clean and maintained but cold. I don't know if it was supposed to be a heated pool or not. It was in the shade so I don't think it had time to warm up if it wasn't heated. Again, the staff was very kind here as well. They came out and said they had water features to turn on. Each corner of the pool had a little fountain. Again, just a nice gesture and it really let me know that they care about their hotel and see people as their guests. The only thing that I can say needs improvement is the sound. I was near the front of the hotel so if people were talking loudly I could hear it in my room. The other would be that the carpet is rippled and needs to be stretched so that luggage will roll.

Mr. Patel young guy - his attitude was great and good spirit working behind desk. The owner / manager worked this employee too many hours. I arrived at 10 pm left at 6:30 am came back at 2 am. and he was still working in the same cloths. But he never complained.

Very dirty hotel. Air conditioning did not work in room, no ice machines worked, carpet is buckling up in lobby, luggage carts held together with duct tape....people cleaning rooms work on front desk. Windows dirty. Pool was actually clean. Other than that it was OK. Oh I forgot, elevator filthy dirty.

Mold in the tub. I've stayed there for the last five years and it goes down more and more every year. Love the location but mold in the tub. Mud all over the floors. Put me in a room with construction workers across the hall and both sides that all kept their doors open to socialize but the desk clerk should have known not to put me right in the middle. Next morning by 6:45 everything they had which was very little for breakfast was gone and very dirty. I wouldn't even check for coffee...and I'm never one to complain. Desk clerk sat at his laptop and never acknowledged anyone was around.

The hotel was one of few to choose from, however it was worth it and clean and cozy. The buffet breakfast was available. The wi-fi is available for use as well. Was on the 3rd floor. A/C worked very well. There was no noise, it was pleasantly quiet.

Checked in late and the young lady at the front desk was very nice and accomdating...but our stay went downhill from there. They do not provide conditioner and the room only had one pack of coffee. The shower head had so much calcium build up that not much water got thru...the towels were cheap and scratchy the beds made for rough sleeping...the next day, even after leaving the maids a tip...no coffee and the grounds were left in the pot from the day before...not much attention goes into cleaning the room....a bit of a dissapointment. Will not stay there again.

Room was clean, but it's of course obvious you're not in a nice hotel. The bedding is kind of skimpy and the towels are rough. The area is safe enough I wasn't worried about my car, and the staff was helpful. Breakfast wasn't ready when they said it would be so I was disappointed my husband couldn't eat before we had to leave, but overall it was a clean, safe place to stay a night for the price.

I initialed a paper that indicated that I will not smoke in the room but when I entered my room It smelled like smoke!!! Not Cool! Also the water preasure in the shower was low!!! The only thing that was good about the room was the a/c unit blew cold air!

I reserved and paid for a king size non smoking, but when i checked in i was told they did not have anymore king size. I asked the gentle at the desk if it was ok to do late check out, he consented and said 1pm was fine. the next day 15 minutes before one the manager calls my room, threatens to charge my credit card again if i dont check out immediately. i told her the over night clerk had approved a one hour late check out, she refused to honor it and threatened to charge me for the room. avoid here if possible.

Great for what I paid.. Clean. Had a mothball smell in the beginning.. I just needed a place to sleep.. And it worked.. Don't expect to get breakfast earlier than 6.. It won't happen.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Strong smell of Indian food in the lobby and halls, but seemed to go away as soon as you enter the room. The room could use a more comfortable mattress, stronger water pressure in the shower, and higher quality towels, toiletries etc. The continental breakfast was a little lacking as well, but overall not bad for the price...

Hotel staff was very nice - only issue overall was the hallway upstairs was extremely warm which was unwarranted. Room was very nice/comfortable. Wish however did not have to travel to bottom floor for ice - but that was the only downfall. Very nice and would stay again.

The staff was super friendly and went above and beyond what other hotel have done. The rooms where clean and we'll kept. No complaints about any of our stay and with my family that is not an easy thing to do. It would be worth it to us to drive back and forth from Houston next time.

Let's just say I need an oil change every 3 weeks, it was a present surprise to find such a cost effective,friendly, CLEAN, QUITE motel or diamond in the rough as they say. Most motels I stay at always have somthing crazy going on like weird patch jobs, not the best looking sheets ekk, and an old tube TV lol. I understand you get what you pay for and I'm ok with that. Some how the planets were aligned for me and I just had a great fresh stay at this super 8, everything is brand new. I would stay here day if the week. Thanks 222/220 from the city of wind.

Rude staff upon check-in. Said I was not pre-paid, when I in fact was. Had to get manager to resolve issue. Lock on door was broken, and required maintenance. Worst Wi-Fi I have ever experienced. Constantly unable to connect and low signal strength. Old TV. Not as good as other Super 8s...would NOT stay again.

I had reservation and when I arrive to this Hotel, This old india lady "onwer of the hotel" told me that they only have one room that shower is broken. She told me that you have to go another room to take shower after people check out in the morning. She also told me that if you do not want it you can find another hotel, the service and attitude is terrible. very very bad experience. strong suggest if possible do not stay in this hotel.

The lady at hotels dot com said when I booked this place that its the highest rated Super 8 in America. It was pretty good, actually. Decent wifi, good channels on TV including some premium channels. Bed was fine. Shower head didn't have a nasty water restrictor. Breakfast the next day was decent. The Indians running the place were painting all the doors a red wine, and so it smelled good.

It was being remodeled which is I didn't mind too much.. but the hospitality was terrible. Took me 20 minutes just to confirm reservations. No one was friendly and the next day 30 minutes before check out I had a very tall man trying to come in my room without knocking saying "room service" I was fresh out of the shower. Good thing I had my door locked so he could barley open it. I told him I'll be out in a second and he came back and I had no idea what he was saying cause he didn't speak English but it wasn't friendly at all. I won't be back! That was enough to scare me off.

they gave us a room not clean ,had to change and very tired after 8 hours of driving got sent to another room and found out the next morning the tub had not been clean dirty towels in tub, all they could say sorry the mangers not in. .wonder how clean rooms really are/we ate in the dining room were about I hour behind, ..but they discounted the food. and said they were very sorry. also after I got home they had a 50.00 charge on my charge card. still trying to get that taking off. check your card careful.

The hotel staff were very accommodating and very easy to deal with. The room is a little dated and could do with an appliance update. I stayed for a total of 3 days. The room was a little dated and could do with a well needed update/upgrade. One of the phones didn't work but was quickly rectified by the staff on site.
