"Massive "resort" hotel for springbreakers"
The receptionist/hostess was so welcoming and spoke perfect English, and our room was spacious, clean, and modern.......then it went downhill. The beds are hard as a rock and the internet speed is slower than dial-up. The resort is so huge that it takes 15 minutes to walk to the breakfast buffet, which was absolutely the worst buffet I have ever experienced. […] I couldn't even drink the coffee or juice--both were syrup with fake flavoring. All 3 pools were ice cold (end of May) so we couldn't even go swimming there. I never did find the hot tub. The kids club was a high point for my 3 year old daughter with all the great activities and toys. But this was not a family resort. There were a million drunk teenagers staying at the hotel so it was loud and completely annoying. The housekeeping staff was also loud in the hallways all morning long. On one morning a maid entered my room without knocking. Luckily, the Loret de Mar beach and hiking made our stay worthwhile. It is so beautiful there that it's hard to stay cranky about a terrible hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good hotel with large rooms and great pools."
Excellent large rooms and great swimming pools. Lots of enetertaining everey evening for all ages. Food choices are also good but we got a bit board after a week. Staff are very friednly and happy to help. We found beds a bit hard for our likeing but were given a new room to help with no fuss at all, though beds were stil hard - perhaps same throughout […] the hotel... Llorret de Mar is a good place to stay but teds to attract a lot of young people looking for clubs and partying. The hotel is however away from the clubs and good for families. You can visit Barcelona and other places around within a day with good transport links from Llorret. Would recommed Tossa de Mar - only 20 min away it clearly is lovely place with great beaches. "Olympic Palace Hotel"
Lovely hotel, clean and with very friendly and helpful staff. Food plentiful and very good choice, something to suit everyone in the family. Predominately used by French Belgian and Spanish people so if you are going with younger children it is more difficult for them to make friends if they don't speak another language. We were a little dubious about […] attending the entertainment but the Flamenco evening had professional and modern dancers, excellent. The five pools were all excellent clean and well monitored. Only complaint is the very hard beds - I am sure they don't last any longer than more comfortable softer ones. Local resort caters for young travellers who want to go to nightclubs predominately, Blanes nearby is lovely. Water world is lots of fun but very expensive, any child over 120cm pays adult prices 33 euro. We went as a family with children from 18 to 6 and they all enjoyed different aspects. Expedia advertise free wifi this is not the case, our 18 year old did negotiate it with evidence that we had it on our paper work. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great food......but let down by the receptionist"
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights on a full board basis.. We're a family with 2 kids aged 4 & 8... We arrived at around 2:15, but it's only one staff in the reception, we asked if we can have our lunch, but she said the restaurant's closing in 10 minutes, and the staff would rush us... We're disappointed as we missed the meal which we already paid […] for... The receptionist didn't give us much information about the hotel. The first impression of the hotel is unsatisfactory.... The room is spacious, but with no view... Balcony facing a wall.. 2 Antique TV in our room... The channels are not clear.... Beds are comfy n clean... Overall...the room was fine... It got plenty of choices for our breakfast , lunch & dinner.... Staff in the restaurant are polite & helpful... We enjoy our stay.... a nice hotel clean and friendly- nicely placed for the beach but away from the busy main road .I recommend staying in the palace rather than the other parts of the complex as it is less noisy .Try the Cal l'lavi for a meal food excellentGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Almost a four star experience"
A fantastic collection of adjoining hotels with plenty of facilities, let down by two points. First, the beds were the hardest and most uncomfortable I've ever slept on, far too hard and meant a poor night's sleep every night. Secondly, there was a complete absence of lifeguards at the outdoor pools. You can argue that May is off-season but there were […] still plenty of guests and their children using the facilities. The only lifeguard I saw looked after the indoor pool; three outdoor pools were unmanned. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A large scale property"
There are some nicer properties in Lloret de mar for the price. The Olympic Palace is the most expensive of the three properties they offer. The hotel is updated, but the soundproofing is terrible. You can hear doors slamming in your room non-stop and the neighbouring rooms. Plus considering the size of the property they need more staff working at the […] front desk, otherwise you wait forever to check-in. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great pool area but uncomfy beds!"
Very hard and uncomfortable beds. Clean and big room. Boring Food but I guess that is the way it is with buffé. :) would appriciate more healthy food especially for breakfast.. I would prefer smoothie in the morning instead of milkshake with a lot of sugar added to the already sweet yoghurt. The kids were happy for the pancakes with chocolate though.. […] Very expensive gym and swimming pool for exercise swimming. 7 € for 1 hour. Great pool area, funny activities for children and the dancing in the pool was fun for everybody. Great job! Many French people and a mix of families and younger (20-ish)party people! Bad wifi connection. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Buena ubicacion y modernas instalaciones"

"Great holiday !!!"

Me my husband two boys 11 and 13 and daughter 5 have just returned from olympic resort we went last two weeks of august on half board basic . We had a little problem with the rooms on check in , we did not get the room we requested but it was sorted out within the hour . The resort is huge 4 hotels in one . The kids entertainment was fantastic , they never wanted to leave the resort in case they missed something . Our room was nice , it had a dividing door to separate the room . The is two TVs it can change to English by pressing audio on remote control, it would gave been good if they told us this when we came instead of watching shows in Spanish . We had a room facing the road it was very noisy through the night as the transfer bus keeps stopping and leaving engine running so loud . Try and get a pool facing room , to avoid the noise . The food in resturant ( magnolia ) name of one of the four resturants , was nice staff are lovely food is cooked fresh on request . Plenty to choose from . I noticed a lot of French and Belgium being quite rude to staff not saying thank you when staff cleaned their tables etc . So say thank you it doesn't hurt . They have entertainment in the evenings most nights are good especially the fantasy disney show on Saturday night .only problem you have to be the early as the is normally fight for kids chairs this I think staff need to organise a bit better . The mini club is good it has a soft play ball pit which is great , lots of activities going on , you can leave them there if you want . Staff are friendly . Getting sun beds near kids water park wasn't to bad just pop your towel on beds and return within 90 mins . Loret town is a 10 min walk away . Go to fenals beach 20 min walk away much more child friendly then loret and very pretty no cars or traffic in back ground . We would most defiantly go back but we would pay little extra for pool facing room to avoid noise . Oh the was no tea making facilities in our self catering room which I found weird for 4 star hotel with self catering facility's . Not a problem as we boiled water in the pot lol. Oh the is a childrens park out side hotel and basket ball courts near round about .
"Great family holiday"

Had a great stay here in august. Hotel was very busy as peak season but still got excellent service and food was surprisingly good. Had not expected great food due to style of holiday but it was always fresh and a good variety. They were especially helpful as I am gluten fee and they were very knowledgable of my dietary requirements. Kids had a fabulous time, always something for them to do, the new pools and slides were brilliant. Rooms were modern and very clean, really good for families as there was a door separating us from the kids, only negative would be hard beds! The town was not our cup of tea as it is very cluby and tacky but the hotel felt far removed from it all. Nice beach a short drive away as recommended by one of the waiting staff. Would definitely return as it is great value for money, hopefully next year!

Fantastic hotel park for children of all ages with slides for all ages. The food at the buffet was diverse themes so everyone should be able to find something to their liking. For the children was also schedule from morning to night. The one thing that could be better are the bars and the bed could be smoother.

We spent 4 days at this hotel attending a Cuban Dance Festival in late June.We can only comment on the room, the service and the meals, all good considering the amount of guests arriving at the same time,we were so busy dancing we didn't even see the many pools!Meals are good and well presented (all inclusive) especially the dessert section, staff is helpful and courteous. We recommend this hotel for families, groups, business meetings and honestly cannot find any complaints about it.There is of course room for improvement like: providing munchies in between meals and after disco and having more variety on the all inclusive drinks, wine and water is just not enough
"Wonderful family break. Lovely pools and staff"

Stayed at the Olympic Suites and Palace over half term. After reading reviews was a bit wary, but would have no hesitation to go again and advise others to give it a go. We have stayed at many hotels around Lloret and the Costa Brava, but my favourite now has to be this for Lloret. Clean all over the complex, friendly staff. Reception staff wonderful. So helpful and couldn't do enough. The waiting staff funny and very friendly. We did have just one member of dinner staff who was very unhelpful and rude at times but she seemed to brighten up as time went on.!! On arrival we had a dinner put up for us as I said we would be late, which was a lovely surprise. My 9 year old absolutely loved the pools. Slides pirate ship and the other pools were fantastic. Life guards present and friendly. A relaxed feel around the pool. Very very quite though when we were there which meant they shut one hotel. Which was lovely for us as loads of room. But even busy this place has so much room around the complex, I can't imagine it filling up. The town in brash and young but a nice feel. Tacky shops but that's what we seem(!!) to like. Food was same most of time, but pancakes for breakfast and lovely ribs for dinner were two of our favourite things. Entertainment a bit late for us as starting really around 10pm. But we did watch one magic show that was brilliant. Kids discos and good animation team kept them all happy on the one stormy day we had. They did a good job!

we were put up at this 4 star hotel for 2 nights due to a cancelled flight and fearing the worst, however this proved unfounded as everything about it was great. The sheer size of the complex was amazing with 6 swimming pools, really need a guide to avoid getting lost.Although we were only there for a short time we were made to feel at ease and given first class treatment. The rooms we given were really apartments with a large lounge area separated by a glass divider,we had a t.v. in each room and even double his&hers sinks in the bathroom.Complete luxury to us.When we left in early morning we were given a great picnic bag each which contained much more than the usual stuff.A really nice place, very welcoming.
"One "all to short" week in Lloret"
09/24/13 Anothersunseeker england
Just back from another enjoyable week in Lloret de Mar, staying a this excellent hotel. The Olympic Palace is part of a complex of four hotels which offers great amenities, central of which is the large pools and sun lounging areas amongst its many impressive facilities and entertainment area which is shared by all four hotels. Although during our recent visit the entertainment was not the best we've seen and could be a little more diverse, we still enjoyed the evenings. The hotels family rooms are spacious, well decorated and maintained, with the maids cleaning the rooms and changing towels on a daily basis. The food is excellent with a good choose of starters, main courses and sweets. The bar areas are good a serviced by extremely polite and well mannered bar staff, who serve you with a smile at all times. The hotel is approximately 5 minutes walk from the town centre and located in a quite residential area, still within easy reach of the towns nightlife but far enough away to get a peaceful "noise free" nights sleep should you just wish to relax. We have no hesitation in recommend this hotel to anybody, its well worth its 4star rating and we enjoyed yet another stress free, relaxing break at what we believe is an excellent hotel.
"Pleasant well equipped hotel with great food - just a few minor niggles"
09/17/13 Blair W London, United Kingdom
We were very much looking forward to our (well deserved) summer family break so did not mind paying a little more in peak season. The Evenia Olympic Palace is the newest part of a very large block of hotels forming a resort. The facilities are impressive with 6 swimming pools and a large entertainment area, so our 3 girls were never bored. We booked 2 balcony rooms and these were very clean and well equipped. The beds, however, were like rock so unfortunately sleeping was caught up on the sun loungers! We stayed 10 nights on a half board basis and the food was excellent with a huge variety of things to chose from at the buffets. Regular theme nights (Mexian, Italian, Chinese, Spainish Tapas etc) also helped to provide further variety in the dining experience.Although we never needed to wait long for a table the only drawback was the sheer volume of people in dining areas at each sitting - it did become a bit of a "bun fight" at times. The hotel was predominately populated by French, Belgian and Russian guests, so we did feel in the minority at times when it came to the entertainment and dining cultures. Whilst the hotel staff were all very pleasant and spoke English it did help that our eldest daughter is fluent in Spainish. The hotel wanted to charge 5 Euros per room per day for WiFi. Our booking clearly stated that each room had free WiFi but the manager said this must have been a mistake and we needed to pay 100 Euros for the 2 rooms for 10 nights. After much hassle and proving that this is what we had paid for they reluctantly issued the usage keys without charge. Unfortunately we needed to return to the reception each day for replacements oftern having to go through the process again for different staff members - what a hassle! We also needed to pay 7 Euro per day for parking our hire car - but at least this seemed reasonable value in a secure underground carpark when spaces in the area were scarce. Summing it up - a pleasant well equipped hotel with great food just let down by a few minor niggles.
"Great holiday, could of been fantastic!"

Lovely room with balcony, great that had sliding door between bedroom and lounge with sofa bed felt like mini family room. Food was good as enjoy helping myself. Breakfast freshly cooked eggs and pancakes, fry up choices, lots of pastries. Dinner salads, mains, fresh bread, desserts. We were all inclusive so had drinks too. There's even an outside bar serving hotdogs, burgers etc however we didn't find this out till third day. Only ten minute walk to beach. The only negatives were, in the evening there was no entertainment at all!! We paid extra to have drinks catered for however couldn't sit in silence looking at each other at the bar every night so had to afford to go out one night, and the other the pool outside is sooooo freeeezing and soooo salty!! That I didn't want to go in, virtually no one went in just laid on loungers. These are the two reasons I wouldn't return, such a shame as the only two things letting it down. To let you know you do have to pay for spa 38€ each.
"Not quite 4 star."

Our holiday was advertised as 4* christmas in Spain and the Evenia was our designated hotel. The entrance was quite impressive but on reaching the room it was obvious that 4* it wasnt, although clean we found,The glass partion on the verandah broken , The ,metal frames rusting, The plastic furniture discoloured ,looking very unattractive,The room, door frames rotting at the bottom. In the bathroom the rust round the plug hole appeared to have been painted over, Although there was mini bar, there was no facilities to make tea or coffee, This is not what I would expect of an expected 4* hotel.
