Nice place. Accomodating to the minor problems we had. Close to Park and Ride for Balloon Fiesta. Good restaurants all around. Easy Freeway access.

THe room was way too small and not very clean. IT was off the highway so it was kinda loud. The area was very shady. We were approached by several people trying to get our room before we checked out. The toilet took 10 minutes to refill the tank. I called down to the desk and was told to giggle the handle. ( we had already tried that) Electric set up was poor. Had to go to the desk and get a blow drier and only one plug in would continue to work for the blow drier. Asked the desk worker if she could assist me with going on line and getting tickets […] for the shuttle she would not assist us. I walk next door to the other motel. She was assisting her guest and so she did the same for me. Henry the night worker was the only good worker, he gave us info on where to go for good food. very helpful. Read more

Booked room on Expedia, prepaid and all. We were on the road from CA wanted a rest, got in at 130 am, first 2 rooms one key worked one didn't the room we got open had a couch that looked like it got brought from the curb and plopped in there, didn't take that room, got another room and other room key fixed 45 min later! Room was absolutely not clean; […] between the "trash" (and due to what it was will leave it unmentionable), and hair stuck to the side of the night stand. The beds were horribly soft, almost to the point of suffocating. With the issues with getting into our room, and the intention of prebooking prepaying was to prevent the entire mess, it was an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL at all! Fortunately, my family and I are light hearted enough to make it humorous in order to avoid it ruining our family vacation! Read more

When I checked into this hotel via phone I asked for additional towels and informed the front desk staff that I would be arriving in the early morning hours due to travel. When I called for location and directions to the hotel the front desk staff answered the phone simpy with a "hello". At first I thought I had the wrong number but continued to start […] my check in process and ask for directions. The front desk was a male who gave poor directions and upon check in did not provide the towels asked for and acted like I was inconveniencing him by coming so late. I went to my room which was several doors down from the front desk. Upon entering I noticed that I had no bath towels, and no soap. I went to the front desk and asked for some towels and noticed the stains on the towels and the check in clerk said "they may be stained, but they're cleaned". I have never checked into a hotel with stained towels and no soap before. I am not happy with this stay and would have preferred a different location. Read more

When I called to make the reservation I asked for a pool, the persons told me " yes there is a pool". I also requested a fridge in the room for my husbands medications, they told me " yes we can get a fridge in the room". After driving for 13 hours to get to Albuquerque and checked in to my room, i found no fridge ! I called the desk he said " it is […] in another room" ...only one fridge! I asked where is the ice machine to put the RX on ice.... he told me" we do not have an ice maker this week. They also do not have alarm clocks, or coffee makers in the room. ( the rooms were smelly and dirty) as for the poo, he did not lie; there is a pool, it just had not been cleaned in 7 months!!!! Read more

I went to the vending machine located just outside the loby. It wasn't taking my bills so I figured that was the only thing wrong with the machine (there was no sign to indicate otherwise). After putting in change, the machine still did not work....it wouldn't even give me my change back. When I went to the front desk to complain, the man told me that […] the vending machine was out of order but he could give me a pop. After giving me the can of pop he preceded to ask me for a dollar when I had already paid $1.25 at the vending machine. His excuse was that it wasn't their machine and they could do nothing to redeem my money. $2.25 is a lot for a can of pop. $1.25 isn't that big of an issue, but there wasn't even a sign on the broken vending machine, nor an attempt to find a solution for my loss of money. I was fearful of getting robbed. Questionable characters that were not staying at the hotel were always around. Room was dirty, towels were cheap and breakfast was hot milk and stale cereal. I believe I could have done much better for the price.

Avoid this hotel whenever you can. It seems to be a bargain to stay here but the experience is not worth it. Check in will not provide you the room you requested. Continental breakfast is included but is a big shame. You can toast some bread but there is nothing to put on it. The coffee is painted water without any flavor. Orange juice is the same. […] You can make a waffle, but only if the receptionist is willing to put here (personal) smart phone down for a moment and actually do her job... This hotel is a big shame to the business. For all people that needs to stay in this neighborhood: Avoid Econolodge and stay in one of the surrounding hotels, The price is the same, and it's impossible to receive a service as bad as in Econolodge.
