I recently spent three nights at Cortijo Barranco, which is several miles to the east of Arcos on the road to El Bosque. The inn is accessed via a rough but scenic private road that is easy to miss, even when you are looking for it. Cortijo Barranco is a wonderful place and was a surprising value. Because it is old (portions are as old as 1754) and because it is off the beaten path, it might not be for everyone. It is also quite dark and quiet back there at night. It was my base for exploring Andalucia for a few days. My only regret was that I didn't have more time to enjoy the beautiful amenities. The people there are very kind and delightful. I was made to feel at home and Marie and Juan were especially warm - everyone is terrific. I would absolutely recommend this inn to adults or couples looking for a great experience in Andalucia. Try to stay at least four nights and plan on spending some time enjoying the atmosphere.

The location was great, although difficult to find (our cab driver couldn't find it, finally let us off at Plaza Nuevo and we walked around til we found it.) We were close to everything. Eva was great, giving us lots of ideas of places to see. The main problem was the hot water, which lasted almost exactly one minute. Hard to shower in one minute, but I assume it was a short-term problem. Other than that, it was a great place.

One of the best I have ever stayed in for the dollar. Quiet, central, helpful friendly staff, extraordinary view (1000 feet straight down - room with a balcony) & breakfast on a terrace with views for miles.

"HOTEL- PERSONAL"
El hotel está muy bien. Pero es la primera vez que a las 11.55 de la mañana llaman por telefono a la habitación para avisar de que debemos salir ya. Ya lo sabíamos ¡¡no era necesario!!!!. No se si será el director, pero el señor no era nada amable.
Hotel antiguo, bien situado, pero con pocos servicios. La TV mal y la "piscina" 6m x 2.5m aprox. Casi merece la pena quedarse en Ronda (20Km).
"Volveríamos a ir"
Fuimos al hotel a pasar la Semana Santa y no nos arrepentimos. La situación es perfecta, a pocos segundos de la plaza principal del pueblo, de la oficina de turismo y de un mirador, ah! también hay un spa rústico muy cerca. La calidad del servicio era muy buena, en recepción nos aconsejaron muy bien sobre posibles rutas y cosas que hacer. La servicio […] de limpieza excelente. El baño amplio y con bañera.
