As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa - Vilamoura

Very high quality apartment and grounds. Minibus service to marina and beach very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Spoilt only by other guests constantly reserving sun beds which remained unused for hours. The hotel staff did provide additional beds as the week went on but it wouldn't have been necessary if such blatant behaviour was prevented.

It was one on my first times using an on-line booking but I must say everyone responses were right on target. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, two adults and my three teenage children. Apartment facilities and lay-out were excellent. Reception staff were most helpful and facilitated us with a change of apartment from ground floor to top floor in line with our request. The evening meal buffet was excellent, however staff appeared over eager and removed plates and cutlery before the second person had finished eating. Excellent apartments, ideal for families. This is our second stay there and we would definitely return. Only downside this time was buffet dinner in Hilton was running on 5 out of the 7 nights we were there, and the A la carte menu was quite limited. We went into the marina to eat a little more than last time as a result. Got the free shuttle bus in […] and taxi (€4) back. This would not deter me from returning there though. Great place and location. We stayed in the apartments and they were perfect,facilities, decor and cleanliness. Restaurants on site were very good and the food was also great quality, but it was overpriced. On the negative, it was very expensive at the resort and entertainment for the children could be better.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the first floor and the quality is superb. As a family with 3 children aged 9 & 12 and a 12 month year old, having room to move and not feel enclosed was the reason we chose this particular hotel in the first place and the actual accommodation was better than I expected. The pool areas are good, pools slightly […] smaller than I expected but big enough, nice relaxed environment and no issue with getting sunbeds - we never experienced problems and with the opening time set at 9am I was surprised there was no big queue. We went in the 6 week children holidays so a good test! Drinks around the pool are as expected around 5 euros a pop. We attempted the shuttle into the marina but it was a pain as you queue and we didnt enjoy that with a young baby. Private taxi was 8 euros into marina, when you book with reception, use the word 'private' otherwise they will ask a normal taxi to arrive and they never do - you pay extra for the private ones but they are guaranteed to be there. Food in main buffet was good, not fantastic, breakfast we only went once, and we went to the marina for dinner 13 times. This with a young baby having to get taxis shows how good the food and choice is in the marina, for me, its superb and the atmosphere for drinks and food will make me go back time and time again. All in all - if you want first class accommodation with your own facilities in a resort in the Algarve - you cannot beat this place ! Read more

just came back from staying here for 3 nights. The one bedroomed suite was lovely, large front room with large tv, fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer & microwave. Very comfy bed with flat screen tv. Very relaxing place to stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to going back soon. We hired a car from the airport […] which was useful as it is too far to walk if you want to go to the marina. Although it is compulsory to have extra insurance in Portugal aprox. 100 Euros a week. Just back from a lovely stay at these fantastic apartments. They combine loads of space and luxurious decor with all the amenities of a first class hotel. The two bedroom apartment is huge. The staff were helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them, and they made a great effort to be friendly to the children, which was lovely. The pool […] complex is brilliant although the indoor pool gets very full very quickly as obviously it's still a little cold for the outdoor pools in April. Breakfast and dinner were great with a good range of options and plenty for the children. The staff were again fantastic in the restaurant. We ate there a couple of nights and went in to the Marina a few nights just for a change of scenery (and menu!). Very few negatives - if I was picky I'd say I expected free internet access and was a bit thrown by the high charges in a hotel of this class. Also it would be nice to have more regular shuttles from the hotel to the Marina and back - one one chilly evening we waited over half an hour in town for the minibus. However these were minor niggles in what was overall a fantastic holiday experience. We will definitely be back - probably during a warmer time so we can get full use of those gorgeous pools! Brilliant Hotel, Staff very friendly, Clean and comfortable. Good location with Hotel offering shuttle service to Beach(day) and Marina(night) on a regular basis. Food and Cocktails really good but pricey!!! Can of coke 3.5Euros Will be going back again soon

A bit if a trek from the marina, however the hotel have a free shuttle bus to the beach/marina which us very handy. Taxi cost is €5 to marina. Free towels and sun pointers at the private Hilton beach also. Also the romantic pool at the hotel was great, no noisey brats, just couples relaxing,reading Patterson books. Het hotel is onderverdeeld in twee gebouwen. Het eerste is het eigenlijke hotel het andere bestaat uit de 2 tot 4 slaapkamerappartementen. Wij verbleven in het twee Slaapkamerappartement. Het is groot. Een grote Siemens keuken, een grote woonkamer en 2 slaapkamers met eigen douche of bad. Er gaat een busje naar het strand. Buurt is rustig.
