"Excellent value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Great location close to Deutsche Oper Berlin and served by bus less than 100m walk from the front door, less than 30 minutes to the Hauptbahnhof by bus and S-bahn. Excellent breakfast, one of the best I've had at the price. My only complaint is some smoking jerk in the floor below would blow his garbage out his window and of course it would be sucked directly into my windows. Thankfully the air-conditioning was working perfectly.
"Nice place to spend a weekend."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Had a really great stay. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed to friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room. The only real complaint I have is that the doors and room are not that well sound proofed and you can hear everything in the hallway. But overall, good comfortable stay.

We stayed a week at the hotel and enjoyed it. Best locaition in Berlin, very close to most museums. also very close to the S & U Bohn and trains. Shopping is near by. I would stay again when in Berlin.

Very nice. No complaints. Had to pay for breakfast and wifi and parking but that seems to be standard in Europe. Breakfast was exceptionally good, great variety and quality. Room was very nice as was Hotel. Front desk staff was friendly, helpfl and spoke good English. Could walk safetly from Hotel to major attractions. On a street car and subway route. Would stay here again.

Formerly the centre of East Berlin, Mitte is split down the middle by Unter den Linden and contains nearly all of Berlin's key churches, museums, theatres and memorials. The Fernsehturm (TV tower) by Alexanderplatz offers the best view over Berlin. Museums include the Pergamon, National Gallery, Bode and the Old Museum. The Red City Hall and the Dom (cathedral) are close to the museums and there are two other churches on Gendarmenmarkt.
see all hotels in Berlin"Fabulous stay"
What a wonderful experience! I know when you rate something this high people think it's fishy, but I have nothing negative to say. Within walking distance from two Ubahns (one which basically takes you straight to the airport with one easy bus change), so close to Gendarmarket, the shopping of Friedrichstrasse and much more. The staff (especially Aaron) […] was wonderful and helped us out each day. Their suggestions were perfect. The happy hour at the bar is great. (Ok the only bad is that breakfast is 19 euro, so don't bother and they didn't always remember to refill the coffee packets). Our room was lovely and had a patio. It was so quiet we slept for hours. We absolutely loved our hotel experience. Read more
"Excellent Hotel"
We enjoyed our 3 nights stay for 4 adults in a two bedroom suite with good space in the living area, kitchen and a small dinning table. There's a small grocery store around the corner for food, drinks and house hood items. The hotel is at an excellent location, close to all major attractions, walking distance to lots of good restaurants, luxury shops, […] about a 20 minute walk to Museum Island and to the Berlin Philharmonic Hall/Sony Center. The hotel buffet is also very good with lots of hot and cold food to choose from. Read more
"Great location"
This hotel is in a quieter section of Berlin, but convenient to many good restaurants, transportation, etc. The rooms are great if you are staying for a few days and enjoy the extra space and conveniences. It was a great place to land as home-base and enjoy seeing the rest of Berlin. Just be sure to ask for a "non-smoking" room if that is your pref […] erence. Read more
"Adina Apartment Hotel Checkpoint Charlie was GREAT"
We loved everything about our three night stay in a spacious one bedroom apartment there. The place was beautiful, the location fabulous, the staff helpful and friendly. We purchased welcome cards at the airport that entitled us to three days worth of unlimited travel on public transportation and discounts at various museums, cruises, etc. Great public […] transportation! We particularly recommend visiting the East Side gallery near the Warshauerstrasse station (murals painted on an almost mile long stretch of the wall by artists from all over the world) and the Wall documentation memorial near the Nordbahnhof station. We loved BERLIN and we loved the hotel!!!!! Read more
"Hotel Adina - We loved it - A++"
We loved this apartment hotel. We were upgraded from a studio apartment to a one-bedroom without asking. This got us a two room suite, sparkling clean and new, with an up-to-the minute fully equipped German kitchen (Siemens appliances) and even a washer/dryer. A TV in each room. The bed, shower, closets were first rate, the room completely quiet. The […] neighborhood reminded us that we were in the former East Berlin -- some vacant lots and buildings-- but the hotel is very close to a busy shopping street, the excellent subway, and historic civic buildings and plazas. Walkable to Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrausse. I give it an A++. Great staff, too. And the hotel food was excellent. Read more
"Loved Adina @Checkpoint Charlie!!"
Great hotel with a great location! We had a small kitchen in our room, which was great because we didn't have to eat out for every meal. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was always spotless. We will defintely stay there again!
"Very good hotel--especially for families"
This hotel was comfortable, well-located and had terrific staff. It was also extremely good for our family of 4--parents with two teenage daughters. We got a 2-bedroom/2 bath apartment that was spacious and worked out great. The front desk people were also incredibly helpful--one of them even helped me navigate the deutche bahn website to buy train […] tickets--well above and beyond the call of duty. Read more
"Adina is an easy stay."
Adina is a great boutique hotel located in the "Mitte" section of Berilin. Since it is an apartment hotel with a kitchen, you should take advantage of the supermarket just across the street. It is walking distance to the U-Bahn. The only downside is the limited amount of restaurants in the nearby area.
"Excellent stay"
This hotel is top notch. It was clean and professionally run. I would stay there again. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable and new. The bathrooms were clean as a whistle.
"Checkpoint chic"
Clean contemporary atmosphere, tasteful and refined, nice staff, both properly polite and pleasant at the same time. This is a good, central location in Berlin. I love to have the extra space after a few days traveling, the kitchen and washing machine, to feel really at home, buy some groceries, cook something, relax. Great pool in the basement. And […] I like to have my business meetings by the fireplace in the winter, or in the courtyard in summer. Read more
"Adina Hotel Berlin: conveniently located"
This hotel is stylish but not too expensive and conveniently located. The staff was very nice. You can walk to the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, checkpoint Charlie and Potsdam Platz. You could walk to Alexander Platz and Nicolai Veritel but it's a longer distance. The web site states that the rooms have washers and dryers but ours did not. The hotel […] breakfast is overpriced. My husband and I thought that the hotel was a real "find". Read more
"Adina very weel located"
Adina has a goos concept: an appartment with all the services of a hotel. Rooms are big, you feel at home and they make your bed and change your towels. Is very well located, Charlottestrass, which is nearby, is a great street full of restaurants. You are also close to Alexanderplatz, 10 minutes or so walking by Leipzigstrass.

This is a great apartment-style hotel in Berlin. Grocery store is only a block away. Subway is a few blocks. Very comfortable room w/ washer and dryer. It was a great stop to eat in and get caught up on laundry.
"Adina Apartment Hotel - A Great Way To End My Trip"
I highly recommend this hotel. I stayed only one night when I returned to the city before my flight the next morning. Considering my last-minute booking and the affordable price, I was just grateful to find a room and expected some place adequate. This Adina Apartment Hotel far exceeded my expectations. The place was beautifully decorated. The room […] was very spacious, beds quite comfortable. Most importantly, the staff was very friendly and efficient in the check-in and check-out processes. I didn't have time to partake in the breakast buffet/meal but imagine it must be good too. Read more
"Great Hotel - I wish it was better located...."
I really enjoyed staying at the Adina. It had everything I wanted. The only problem for me was that there was nothing within a three block radius to see or do or eat other than the pricey restaurant in the hotel. If I was out during the day I had to remember to eat before I traveled back toward the hotel. WiFi is not free but it is somewhat reasonably […] priced, about $1.50/hour. Read more
"First class in every respect!"
We booked a studio and were given a one bedroomed apartment. It was beautiffully furnished, better than we anticipated with plenty of living space and everything we needed and more. Staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. Great value for money!
"Amazing Value"
Love the location, the staff, the roominess (keeping in mind that this is Europe, not the US). This is my new favorite hotel in Berlin.
"Aussie Aussie Aussie"
I did not know this was Aussie-based hotel, so was surprised and felt home in this well located, clean, well-serviced aparthotel.
"no complaints excellant location"
great hotel in very central location would definitely stay there again, hotel staff were helpfull and we both enjoyed the swiming pool and spa
"Location"
Not a real good location, you will have to do a lot of walking. The room was spacious and nice, breakfast was good and worth the price as not much is around that is close.Hotel staff was nice and spoke english for the most part. If your room has a washer and dryer know that once you start the wash cycle it will take at least one hour befor the cycle ends […] and you can not stop it.Overall I felt the price was good for what they offered. "Perfect base for sightseeing"
Stayed 3 nights at the Adina end of June,2209, having chosen it based on other reviews. Absolutely delighted with the hotel - our self-contained 2 bedroomed apartment was spacious, modern and clean with acooker, microwave, fridge- freezer, washing machine and dryer! A home from home. Ok, so the surrounding communist era apartment blocks are not the […] most aesthetically pleasing, but the central location, and easy access more than make up for that. No bar as such, but you're going there to explore, surely, and not to drink! Anyway, you can buy your own at Spar or Lidl nearby, and bring it back to your apartment - corkscrew supplied. By the way, had been recommeded a hotel in Alexsanderplatz area, but when we visited there we were so glad we hadn't chosen there - noisy and soul-less. Adina Hotel in Mitte area, near Checkpoint Charlie is quiet but near to everything. Thorougly recommend it. Suggest Hotel give directions from Schoenfeld Airport to the Adina hotel although easy enough to figure out yourself if you do a liitle internet research on BVG, Berlin's Transport System. Would recommend the hotel to anyone except 20 something year olds looking for nightlife nearby. Read more
"Great room for the money"
Washer and dryer in room was very convenient since we were on a multi-week trip. Kitchenette was nice and well-stocked with dishes, cooking stuff, etc. Hotel exceeded all expectations.

"Quiet efficiency with a smile"
This was our first stay in Berlin and had no real idea where to stay. Selected the Adina from the internet based on the hotel photos and guest comments. We found the hotel and staff excellent and appreciated a quiet location at night. Within walking distance of, to us, some of the nicest places in Berlin. We would stay there again without any hesitation […] and the Adinas in other locations. We found our apartment very comfortable and the service quietly efficicient and always with a smile. Loved Berlin and loved our hotel! Read more
"Great Value"
The hotel is well designed with clean contemporary lines and accents of colorful ethnic accessories that propells it's international image . Staff members are very friendly. We flew in to Berlin on an overnight flight from New York and were in desparate need of a shower and were able to use the hotel's fitness center facilities. Feeling refreshed, we […] were told that we have been up-graded from a studio to a one bedroom and were able to check-in imediately. The hotel is located in a residential area and is behind large apartment blocks, while the area is still being developed and looks a little desolate, the proximity to a food market below one of the apartment blocks is convenient. Having a washer and a dryer in the apartment is a big plus. We'll be back! Read more
"Excellent hotel - would happily stay there again"
Stayed here on our last night in Berlin. Arrived at midnight but the front desk were very welcoming. Lovely room, nice bar, nice breakfast, good location for access to the city. This hotel is really trying hard to provide a comfortable stay for it's guests.
"Adina Apartment Hotel in East Berlin"
Lovely hotel, very reasonable. Well eqipped kitchen and convenient supermarket just across the road. Pool and gym really good, only complaint was it was a little warm even with the windows open all night. Would definitely stay there again.
Nice hotel. I like it.
"Just like having my own apartment in Berlin"
After this great experience we have decided to always use apartment hotels from now on. Comfortable, quiet, a good sized room, great self-catering equipment, lovely gym and sauna at the hotel. Quiet location but only 15 minutes pleasant walk from Museum Island, heart of the Mitte, 20 minutes from the amazing Jewish Museum. All in all, a great stay.

"Adina Apartments Check Point Charlie"
My recent stay at the Adina Apartments in Berlin was fantastic. Staff friendly and very efficient, rooms were of an excellent quality, very comfortable and very clean. Would recommend and will definately use Adina again.
"Great experience!"
Spent 4 days there around new years eve. Nothing to complain about. Great room, service and nice area pretty close to center.
"Adina Appartment Hotel - CHeckpoint Charlie Berlin"

Great comfort and space. Really nice to come back to after doing all the tourist things. Would look for similar hotels on our next city break.
"Adina Apartment Hotel Checkpoint Charlie"
Loved it. So convenient to the underground and you can walk to many of the attrations around. Little supermarket is just up the street, doesnt sell everything but you can buy some food there. Highly recommend this hotel!
"Adina hotel checkpoint charlie"
Definately recommend Adina Apartment hotel Checkpoint Charlie!! We had a one bedroom apartment, very spacious and clean and great facilities! A nice small kitchenette and washer and dryer in a big bathroom. Short walk to checkpoint charlie and u-bahn station. Also easy to walk to Brandenburg Gate area. Will stay here again for sure!

"Adina at Check Point Charlie"
Perfect hotel for families, the apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. Located in what used to be East Berlin, Close to Check Point Charlie and walking distance to underground stations.
"What a lovely hotel"
This hotel is a gem. Its such good value, its clean, modern, rooms are spacious, reception and staff can't do enough for you. Location is quiet too. Breakfast is pricey but all you need to do is pop to Lidl 5 mins away and stock up on bits and pieces for your fridge if you have an apartment room which we had. This was probably the best bit about the […] room. It allows you to be slightly more independant. I dont think I've ever been to a hotel that had a washing machine and a tumble dryer in the rooms! Fantastic place and can't recommend highly enough. Read more

"Adina Hotel - Check point Charlie."
Walking distance to most things only around the corner from check point charlie! But without a doubt i would highly recommend seeing the city by bicycle - fantastic way to travel :-) and gives the feet a good rest aswell when you get sick of walking......
"Easter holiday"
Spent 3 nights in the ADINA. The hotel is very well located. Restaurant is ok but breakfast is too expensive (forgot to include it in the package initialy). Would definately recommend it to friends and family. Children loved the place (swimming pool is always a big hit).
"Adina Hotel Checkpoint Charlie Berlin"
The hotel was a decent looking hotel and rooms were well presented although small. Decore was very Australian\ Aboriginal and looked out of place in berlin. It could do with better clenliness. To thoes well traveled it is a dissapointing experence. staff were cold and inexperienced behaved like customer service was a hinderence. As for the hotels location.. […] yes was close to the main sights of berlin..however very unsafe feeling to local area, is in the middle of a very large commission housing area of the old East Germany which is still as delapidated as it was during the cold war. We didn't even stay a night we rebooked elsewhere and forfeited our stay as we just didn't feel safe there. Would not go back, would not reccommend this to anyone. Read more
"Good hotel"
Super hotel, great location - 10 minute walk to everything. Nice room (we had two room suite) it had everything you need - cooker, fridge, hair-drier, washing machine and so on. Only down side was no heating (not fun in Feb) and expensive but fantastic breakfast. Much easier to get some food in a local supermarket. Overall well worth the extra pennies […] for comfort and convenience. Read more
The hotel was clean and comfortable and walking distance to everything. We only caught the train to and from the airport. I'm sure it said tea and coffee making facilities, which it did have a kettle, but you need to take your own tea and coffee or pay for it.
