"Good location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 14, 2012
The best part of this hotel was the location. It's right in the middle of the fun. If you're looking for the nightlife in Chiang Mai, book this hotel.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The shuttle bus was great for the night market and they also arranged airport transfers at a reasonable price. The neighborhood is "backpackers" area, so it is not in the most glamorous area of town. Having said that, there are lots of reasonably priced restaurants and spas around and it is a short walk to the markets. The staff was wonderful and arranged tours for us at reasonable prices. Taking a tuk tuk is easy and inexpensive if you want to go to other restaurants or shops. We especially liked the Good View and Spirit House restaurants. If you have a hankering for Mexican food, Miguels is also pretty good. I would stay at this hotel again. The only negative comments are: The beds are very hard, which is typical in Asia. The room smelled a bit musty on arrival because the air conditioners are off when the room is not occupied. It took a while to cool down the room, but the air conditioning was very good once it go going. There are lots of mosquitos around and they found their way into our room. Bring mosquito spray. Very enjoyable little boutique hotel.

"Outstanding Service!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 19, 2012
The Aruntara was a cute and zen-like boutique hotel. What really differentiated our experience was the EXCEPTIONAL customer service. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group including helping us throw a surprise party for a friend and giving us a complimentary bottle of champagne. I can't recommend this hotel enough, it was truly a fantastic experience there.

"Best blend of great service & comfort"
Highly recommend this hotel. Rarin has take great service to the next level where all staff are so pleasnt and helpful with great attention to details. One of the fews hotels where it looks & feel even better then the websites. The room was big and comfortable with large balcony overy looking the pool where it's never full (in fact, always empty as […] hotel is small). The hotel was blend with morden & Thai tradition as part of the hotel was rebuild from a 150 traditional Thai house. Spa is fantastic with a In-house Doctor to give us free health advice. Love every moment we stayed and you have to be there to experience it all. :) Read more
"The Perfect Hotel"
Everything about this hotel was wonderful! The pool was very luxurious and the grounds were meticulously maintained and very serene. The staff was very friendly and eager to make sure you are happy. The concierge was excellent in helping us to arrange anything we needed. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious with wonderful spa soaps and amenities. […] Another plus was the FREE wireless internet, not only was it free but worked very well from our room and was fast. We really enjoyed the complimentary fruit every morning as well. Finally the location of the hotel is excellent. Its just on the other side of the river away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to town or the night market. Lots of great restaurants next to the hotel and we really enjoyed the hotel's restaurant located on the river where we enjoyed beautiful views of the river and good food! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Read more

Rarinjinda is truly a great resort. It is beautiful beyond words, the rooms are huge, and it seems like they have thought of every little detail to make your vacation extraordinary. The breakfast at the Deck1 restaurant is exquisite, with the most remarkable view. We loved our stay at Rarinjinda and will definitely return and recommend others to stay […] at the resort. Read more
"RarinJinda is rare indeed"
I travel a lot for my work, and this hotel is one of the best I've ever stayed at. Relaxing atmosphere, beautiful building and rooms, attentive service. The only odd thing is that the restaurant is across the street, but that was very minor, and there are guards to stop the traffic if you need it. Heartily recommended.
"A Lovely Oasis"
A lovely boutique hotel, surrounded by a stunning limestone cliff. Staff were very friendly, honest, and helpful. Hourly shuttle bus into town (8 minute ride). All in all an excellent place if you enjoy lovely surroundings and peace and quite.
"The ideal relaxation retreat."
The service provided at the resort was of the best quality. All facilities were very well maintained, and my room was spotless. Cleaning staff were happy to clean at the time I requested to fit in with my plans. The interior design and structural design of the room was a dream. I felt totally indulged. The location of the resort was ideal. walking distance […] to local markets, and just next door were a few high end stores where I purchased excellent quality keep-sakes. Complimentary shuttle was very good for going to the different markets. The surrounding neighbourhood was typical of Chiang Mai - happy smiling faces. The Resort restaurant was on the river edge, and the breakfasts were plentiful, particularly the weekend buffet breakfast. The massages at the Spa were amazing. I will be returning to the Resort just as soon as I can arrange to visit again from Japan. Read more
