The room floor was WET for the duration of the stay, not sure if they over shampoo the carpet or what, but other... than that the stay wa okay, and also there was no Orang Juice in the machine.. it was not working in the morning... The hotel itself was fine but the dumb front desk clerk was a mess. He did not speak english and he was very rude. I will not be visiting this hotel again. There are other hotels right next to it so I would look into staying at one of those. Customer service should be number one and that is NOT the case with this hotel.

We have stayed at the Baymont in Lafayette numerous times. It is actually our favorite place to stay when we visit Lafayette which is at least once per month. It has always been very kid friendly and seemed roomy and well-maintained. We enjoy the home-like quality of it being family run. This trip we had some problems at check-in when we were told […] that we would not have the normal room type that we always request. We were very disappointed by this and it did hamper our stay as we were cramped and crowded with two adults and two children in a smaller room with two double beds. In the past we have always had two queen size beds with a larger room that allowed for more room to breathe. The continental breakfast is better than most. There are a wide variety of choices and WE LOVE THE FLEUR DE LIS on the waffle iron that makes us have such cute waffles that are hot, fresh, and Southern-ly designer. :) The exercise room was clean and well-kept. They had plenty of quarters for our laundry needs as well as some laundry soap and dryer sheets for use. We also love the recommendations that staff give us every time. We actually left the Holiday Inn across the street to come back to our favorite place the Baymont on this trip and were not too disappointed. Read more

At check in front desk was very friendly and Cute.. Room was clean and decent for the price that I paid. I would stay there again if needed. Only one thing wasnt up to par and that was the vending machine. Was craving candy bar so went to vending machine to get one and once I opened it... Hotel was clean and closely resembled the pictures. We ignored some of the negative comments previously written. We should not have. Staff was not courteous. We were in a non smoking room surrounded by smoking rooms. We had to stuff our bath towels under and around the doors to keep the cigarette smoke out. We stayed during a soccer tournament and the […] staff would not control the other guests. Kids were jumping up and down in room above us and running down the hall. A group of people came in around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday morning screaming and cursing in the hall. Our beds were not made Saturday when we returned. We were not given additional toilet paper when they were to have made our room. No one ever seemed to be at the front desk. The location is very convenient to I-10 and Moore Park Soccer Complex but there are no decent restaurants in the vicinity. Read more
