I was very impressed with the cleanliness and appearance of my hotel room. The location was ideal for transportation, shopping, and casual dining. The hotel staff was very courteous and accommodating. Overall, I was impressed with my stay and would do it again without hesitation.

We booked this hotel because of the rides/attractions. We planned to spend to celebrate the 2013 New Year. Room was okey. Shower curtain was short.We reserved for the buffet by the window and we were so disappointed, because the line was too long and a lot of people were waiting to get inside the buffet. If I am the owner, I will fire the manager because of mismanagement. I'm sure a lot of unhappy guests can vouch me on this.Then, discrimination is a big thing here..I was on line first and told the manager that I will be checking out early the following day, I just wanted to make sure that there will be no delays for the check-out. the manager handed me over to a receptionist. Suddenly, a Westernian guy just pulled in front of me and asked the receptionist to change his money, the receptionist attended the guy first and leaving me in disbelief. After awhile, I saw the manager and told him, that I should be the first one be served and the guy should wait. The guy actually left, when I told the receptionist that she should attend to me first because I was there first. Anyways, this hotel is a mess! My daughters left a gift box for me but it took them awhile before they locate the box. The staff at the rides section were rude. This is just a nightmare place! I was quite disappointed. The room, though spacious, was aged and smelled of smoke. Although the staff moved us to a new room, it was little better. The new room only had one towel, one bottle of water and no greeting materials (hotel book, room service menu, etc.) so I had to call Housekeeping (twice, in fact). Once settled in we went to the pool […] to relax. But, the first thing we heard was, "Sorry, no towels." The next thing we heard was, "Sorry, the hot tub is broken." The pools were very cold and so we went back to the room. Next we tried room service. The service was quick enough, but the food was just marginal. However, having traveled throughout the Philippines, it's par for the course. Good food is tough to find. The reason I chose the hotel was because of the activities on the roof. Again, they left much to be desired. It's 250P just to get on the elevator and 300P each for the "SkyWalk" and "Edge Coaster." Seemed much too expensive. I didn't do the Zip Line. Do yourself a favor and "SkyWalk" the Macau Tower and enjoy the thrill rides atop the Stratosphere in Vegas. Don't waste your time or money here. In the end, I say find other lodging. In fact, I say skip Cebu City and see Bohol or Camiguin instead. If you must, try something on the beach out on Mactan Island (Plantation Bay was fair (very pricey), but I imagine the Shangri-La is wonderful). There's no need to stay at this hotel. The Crown is centrally located in Cebu with shopping nearby and most business/attractions close. It is pretty far from any of the beaches, so swimming outings will require a 30+ min taxi ride. There are 4 swimming pools (indoor/outdoor) that are pretty fun and decently maintained. The breakfast buffet is about a 5 out of 10. The menu rarely changes and there is not much variety. This hotel is a favorite for Chinese and Korean tourists. Expect to battle a sea of tourists daily as you take two elevator rides to get to your room - even in the 'low' season. If you book your room thru Expedia, make sure you bring a hardcopy. The idiots at the front desk insisted that I give them a hardcopy. Compared to the competent and problem solvers at Marco Polo Cebu, they would not accept if I forward my Expedia itinerary. They insist that I go to their business center a la internet cafe for an extra fee to retrieve […] my email and print it. The employee manning the center was chatting on her Facebook page. She wanted to charge me P50 per page. I was in a hurry so I acquiesced and told the front desk that I would want to talk to the hotel manager later. Quick recap: The hotel location is ideal for people who wants to go places within the vicinity. On the flip side, the hotel is noisy, too much foot traffic due to their other amenities such as the zip line. Not enough elevators. If you stay at the higher floors, you can feel the slight movement of the building. The breakfast buffet was good not great. Overall, if you want a hotel around Fuente Osmena, then this hotel maybe fine, but if you're like me that wants a quiet, comfortable, and classy hotel, Crown Regency is not it. Read more

Mold, if you like mold and other fungus stay here. The hotel isn't even finished being built and there is mold visible on ceiling of the lobby and thru out the rest of the hotel. The bathroom in my room was particularly bad. In addition, construction on the new tower starts early in the morning even on the weekends

Especially I want to appreciate the help from Lobby Manager (Jennifer) who gave us good suggestions and comfort when our passports were stolen in the city mall. Also the location is very good, close to the Chinese Consulate. I think it's a right place to stay if you travel to Cebu city but personlly I do not recmmend the city.

My Room: When I first walked into the room, I was amazed on how big the place was. I stayed in a room equiped with small living room (with a kitchen sink and fridge), a separate bedroom, and a bathroom. At first I was impressed by the set up and the size. But once you start looking at the place in detail, it seemed as so though the furniture was taken […] from one of the Company's old hotels. There were some stains on the curtains and on the couch, and there were water marks on the table where you can tell someone had left their glass. However, the beds were very comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was pretty clean as well. The view of this room was nice. I was able to watch the entire Independence Day Parade and hear the band playing. Another Room: We also happened to book another room on the same day which was on the top floors of the hotel. Those rooms did not have separate living room area, but were much more cleaner and impressive. The view on this room was amazing! These rooms had 2 large floor to ceiling windows where you should see the city. A couple things I wasn't too happy about: 1) There are 2 elevators that service the building. If you are guest of the hotel, you will have to put up with the crowd, because the same elevators take the general public up to the entertainment level (19th floor) where the ride, the 4D movie theater, and the Edge Walk is. The elevators can be very busy during weekends, and you will end up having to wait of couple of rounds until you get an empty elevator. 2) There were random electricity black outs throughout the day. So everything would go out in the room, including the lights, the cable, and the AC in the ENTIRE hotel. Speaking of the elevators, if you are stuck in one during a black out--good luck. This was my second stay in this hotel. It was a little weird that the front desk asked for a hard copy of the hotel booking on check-in since the reservation was in the computer system and I could provide an ID. I think in 2013 all this procedures could work paperless. I even was able to show the booking confirmation on my iphone. Then they gave me […] the WiFi password of the lobby to send the booking confirmation thru email, but the WiFi refused access to my email account thru Outlook. Finally we found an agreement to send the email out of the room. But there is no Wifi and the LAN outlet was not functioning and it tooks 2 hours until they could fix it. Valuable time we liked to spent already in the City. In the bath room was still an old razor blade below the mirror with some intimidating hairs on it. Not really a must have in a 4 star hotel. But all in all it was a nice stay after this start and we enjoyed the edge coster and a cool view dinner on the 37th floor. A twin bed made the night romantic a bit acrobatic, but luckily we are still young. We asked for a double bed, but there was none available, even on the online booking it showed availability. stayed here for 8 nights, first room had no hot water and broken toilet the duty manager was very good and moved us to another room straight away out of the 8 days had hot water on 5 of them. The lobby smelled so bad, even the elevator and the room smelled, our room was located on the 8th floor and there's no elevator to this floor, we needed to go to the 10th floor and walk down the stairs to the room, with the baggage... ..although the staffs there helped, still not convenient, specially we were travelling with a little girl. Breakfast was terrible with limited choices. Hotel lobby and lift were always crowded with locals. Maybe I think this hotel is a timeshare and bought by locals and many are staying in the hotel. No wifi in room. Will not visit this hotel anymore nor recommed this hotel to anyone.

The Crown Regency Hotel and Towers is by far the worse Hotel i have stayed in. My room was in terrible need of maintenance, example : front door was close to falling off, toilet kept over flowing when flushed, broken window lock, lamp plug had 1 broken pin and there were lots of other minor problems. The fridge is kept in a fully enclosed cupboard under […] the TV, when you turn the fridge on, it of coarse over-heats and shuts down. Mouse running unchecked in the lobby for 10 minutes, no action taken until i reported it to the Duty Manager. Kitchen seemed to be under staffed because it was very hard to get a table set up, never any glasses for juice, nobody is serving coffee, service was just terrible, but the food was great, and they always kept every dish well stocked. But these were problems that i could live with, by far the worse problem i faced was that the only person that i talked too, that could understand what i said, was the Manager, but even he didn't fix the mistake of my name being wrong, maybe i give him too much credit and he couldn't understand me either, that or he didn't care that my name's not David.....
