All in all great hotel. Parking was the only issue, however it can be done. Room was wonderful and blew us away for the price. The mini bar was cheap too! Great location on the river and admist the high fuluton shopping zone. About a 15min walk to the more commoner filled locations. I say this because there is not much to do in carlsbad minus spas and a few empty casinos. Shopping is limited to high end stores and the typical tourist "buy my suiveners" shops.

It was a comfy hotel in the center of town. I saw some disquieting reviews about this hotel before booking but I was rather surprised when I arrived to see a very modern and clean room. The hotel staff don't speak English very well so you might struggle a bit. Also the hotel has a sauna and has a massage service. I reccommend it.

We visited here about 20 years ago. Much better condition now, a grand hotel with a beautiful interior/exterior. Jr. Suite was spacious, great view, nicely appointed bath - but still hotel is just barely 4 star. Def. NOT five! Staff members aren't friendly, don't smile, not gracious, just doing their job. Dining staff need training and supervision-they flounder and don't know how to work efficiently. Breakfast buffet, but not well planned for resupply as items emptied. There are other high rated hotels, next time would try another for comparison - but worth staying here at least once.

We stayed here for two nights and the hotel wasnt bad for what we paid. It is in a good location, very close to shopping and the main square. Cons: Unrenovated hallwaysand rooms in the older soviet style Two Mattresses Shower leaked tons of water on floor A little musty Room was pretty hot with no option for AC Too many doors (2) to open to get to your room No full length mirror Pros: Best two mattress setup I've used Free internet Decently sized room Soft towels (I think they use a dryer, which is not common in Europe) Decent TV channels Nice atrium in courtyard for dining Included breakfast (although we never got a chance to eat there)

The hotel is right near the center of town and an easy 5 minute walk at the most from the Centrum Bus stop. The hotel has spa treatments and they're... very good and the food has been good as well with a hot and cold breakfast bar. They also give you access to their sister hotel the Harvey Hotel which is about a 10 minute walk across town and there they have a sauna, steam room and swimming pool and it's really great. Frühstück: Nur mit Sitzplatzanweisung, ohne dass Platzanweiserin zu sehen war. Wurde von anderem Gast ungnädig aufgefordert, Tisch wieder zu verlassen. Tee vorgefertigt, zu süß, aromatisiert, dünn. Zimmer: Zu wenig Schrankraum. Primitives vermischtes Bügelsortiment. Viel zu harte Matratze. Rezeption: Freundlich, sprachkundig, kompetent

Das Hotel liegt zentral und sehr ruhig. Mein Einzelzimmer war eine echte Büßerklause mit harter schmaler Matratze, ohne Sessel o.ä. Extrakissen sollte es erst am nächsten Morgen geben, erst nach Diskussion konnte ich am Abend noch eines kriegen. Im Frühstücksraum für Gäste ohne HP/VP wurde für mich an einem Tisch mit extrem schmutzigem Tischtuch gedeckt. […] Als ich das monierte, wurde ich an einen Tisch mit etwas weniger Flecken gesetzt. Einen wirklich sauberen Tisch hab ich im ganzen Raum nicht gesehen. Sehr genossen hab ich das Schwimmen im zwar sehr kleinen, aber super angenehmen Pool. Der war bei meiner Ankunft kurz nach 18 Uhr schon zu und steht normalerweise an Werktagen erst ab 12 Uhr zur Verfügung. Bei Auscheckzeit 10 Uhr wär das sonst nichts mehr geworden. Mit Sondererlaubnis durfte ich dort schwimmen, nach irritierter Intervention des Bademeisters wurde dies auf eine Viertelstunde begrenzt. War trotzdem toll. Read more

Nach kurzem Entschluss buchten wir im o.g. Hotel. Leider haben alle Navi-Geräte nur die neuen Straßennummern. Das Hotell lag demnach im Wald! Leisder war die Hotellbezeichnung auch werder auf einem Wegweiser, noch auf einer der Ortskarten zu finden........ Das Hotel ist mit landestüpischen Maßstäben OK in Preis/Leistung.
