This is an hotel located in a service area, and it is very difficult to find. See below for help. The hotel itself is very nice, with a good restaurant, and a large pool. There really is nothing around the area. The service area is Il Gelso Bianco, and there is north side and a south side one. Coming from the east on A-19, heading west, exit SLOWLY into Il Gelso Bianco North, and keep hard to your right, hard, hard, hard. DO NOT FOLLOW the signs for autos into the service area!! Stay hard right. You will see the sign to the hotel, and the hotel. Coming west on A-19, heading east, exit SLOWLY into Il Gelso Bianco South, and keep hard to your right, hard, hard, so you go around behind the service area and along a road until you can turn left through a little underpass and go uphill to the hotel. DO NOT FOLLOW the signs for autos into the service area!!

this hotel is a in a nice area and close to town, i would rate it 3 star but all the 4 star hotels in Italy rate themself 4 star!

La Pensione Svizzera is a beautiful B&B in a great location in Taomina. Very clean, well-appointed rooms, plus a marvelous breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was quiet, but our daughters' room (which was right above ours) was very noisy, primarily due to late check-ins and early departures of guests in rooms close to theirs.

Good bed and breakfast for exploring Etna. Great views of Etna and Catania. Owners speak English and are very helpful. Simple breakfast in a lovely glass enclosure. In season, there's a nice pool and tennis court. Nicolosi is a good base for touring Etna.

"Ikke pengene værd"
Klart det dårligste hotel, jeg længe har oplevet. En del af de faciliteter, der stod opgivet i beskrivelsen, var ikke til stede. Der stank af mad fra den tilhørende restaurant, og sengen var levende - jeg bestemte mig til, at det var myrer, men jeg er ikke sikker.
