I booked this resort for 2 nights intending on staying for 10 if it was ok. When I arrived they weren't very interested at all. It was like it was too much trouble for them to check me in. I got to the room. There is no safe, wi fi does not work in room. The door to go out to the patio didn't even fit and the bathroom door didn't shut at all. The room was dirty and bathroom disgusting. I had paid for 2 nights but could only bare the 1. The next morning I went to reception and asked for my money back for the second night due to poor room and wifi which they told me they had, but they refused to give it back. They then charged me for a bottle of soda I hadn't even had. Absolute disgrace. Patong paradee is only 100 metres up the road and so much nicer and cheaper so stay there instead.
The hotel was under going renovations whilst I was there. I was upgraded to a better room as the room next door was being refurbished. I stayed there for 4 weeks. I never eat the breakfast so can not comment on it. Walking distance to the beach and many restaurants close by. The staff were extremely helpful. I visited in low season and was paying AUD $25 and this was exceptional value for the property

This is my 4th visit to Phuket and the 4th time in Coconut Village Resort. I booked a Superior room overlooking the pool as from previous experiences a Deluxe room was too big for a solo traveler. The staff was very friendly and they still remember me since my last visit was 2yrs ago. The rooms are very spacious and clean but the aircon was a tad loud at nite. The water from the taps aint drinkable thus 2 bottles of water was provided daily for free. As I filled the tub only then i realized how dirty the water is...location wise, the resort is about 800m away from patong beach and away from all the noises. Restaurants, minimart, good massage are all within walking distance and one can easily catch the local bus(30baht) into Phuket town. I prefer to travel by foot even if its 5-10km away(20km return) but there are lots of taxis available. It will be better to get the resort to find/book a reputable taxi that doesn't rip You off.

I spent two days at Coconut Island Resort, and it was great. I felt like I was in paradise. The staffs were very nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the view from the room and the pool was breathtaking. It overlooked the serenic beach and sea. The Villa felt like a home, so comforting and welcoming that I could end up staying there for days. I made food there and surprisingly, the kitchen had everything you needed. It was fully equipped. The perfect get away place when you need to have a mini relaxing holiday!
"sun sand and swimming pools!"

I stayed at the coconut village resport the other day and i was very impressed with the amount of supplies they had. not only did we have a barbeque on request, but we also have a fully equipped kitchen. the rooms wee great, with airconditioning on the top and bottom floor of the villa so escaping the hot sun after a relaxing tan session by the private pool was very easy! the service was great and everyone was very friendly. i would definitely go for your two as an escape from the crowded beaches of phuket! it truly is private paradise :)
"good stay, beware of thieving maids"

my boyfriend and I and another couple booked here to stay for 3 nights. I was impressed with the overall look of the hotel and the rooms were clean. the pool area was good too! every member of staff looked so depressed like they didn't want to be there, makes your time there dull. the food was horrible, we ordered a burger and it was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted. it didn't even taste like beef so god knows what I had eaten. my perfume was stolen from my room as it was not in my room on the last day sitting where it would normally sit. so who else could have took it other than a greedy maid? also the couple we were with had their Michael Kors watch stolen too. but what makes it worse is that the watch was deeply in a rucksack so the maid had raked through it. this just ruined the whole stay. how desperate can you be to steal from others! apart from the thieving maids, the overall stay was pretty average

Well don't know where to start!! The hotel is basic and the pool is nice and the rooms are clean. It is in a good location.. HOWEVER! I got my Michael kors watch STOLEN from my rucksack and didn't realise until I reached my next hotel. I remember packing the night before and putting it in to find it had gone the next day... Surprisingly after the rooms being cleaned! I emailed the hotel and there weren't any help whatsoever! Why someone would steal from someone else is beyond me. The water in the rooms are like sewage water and is a yellowy colour. The man who does the tours is very annoying and constantly pestering you. We booked an elephant trekking trip and the elephants were kept in horredenous conditions, chained and bleeding from their ears!! Phuket is NOT a nice place and defiantly NOT for children!! The rooms were good value for money, however having something stolen from me isn't!! If you stay here make sure you keep the "do not disturb sign ON".
"Very friendly, great for families"

I have to disagree with the precious statement about unfriendly staff. We stayed for four days, a family of 6 with 3 young children. 3yrs, 7months and 5months old. We have been to Thailand 6 times before and have stated at numerous hotels and we have no complaints at all for this one. A great place for family around the pool. A 5 minute walk to the beach front. Ten to the Bangla road. The 3 deluxe rooms we had on the ground floor were clean, a little dated but clean and comfy which is the main thing and cleaned with a smile every day. Everyone at front of house were exceptionally polite and helpful:) There are a lot if Russians here all of whim never seem to smile or show manners and I can see why the staff may be off out by this total lack of courtesy as it grates me. On the whole I would stay here again for sure, family friendly, clean, polite, safe, matches the price accurately. Thank you :))))

Good combination of town & tourist hotel. Open minded and friendly staff - fairly good and working infrastructure, including pool and bike parking. Consider last minute conditions, please. Good place even at normal conditions though. 4 Stars do perfectly match.
"Good location, terrible staff, very old hotel looking like living his last days"

I went there twice. The rooms are ok but looks like really needing renovation... The staff looks really unhappy and you can feel it. When we were there, an hotel guest had been stolen money by an hotel staff while doing the room cleaning. After I checked out, I noticed that they debited again my credit card without telling me. I had communications with them and they pretended that they made a mistake at check-out and they corrected this. I communicated more and requiring clarification and understanding on how they could use my credit card without any reason nor telling me. They finally credited again the amount but it was a pain. I will not go back and I would not recommend it
