The room was made for an invalid, but it meant that things like the sink in the bathroom were too low. Although it was well decorated, it was not kept clean. We were near an outside door which banged every time someone went through it. It was too expensive for what it was.

Hotel was about a 30 min drive from Heathrow airport. The 5.5 mi distance they advertise is not driving distance but distance measured in a straight line. The hotel provided all meals free of charge for the four days that I stayed because of the flight cancelations due to weather. Food was good. I was satisfied with my experience at this hotel.

We travel a lot, frequently attending medical conferences around the world. This is the first hotel where a conference check desk was in close proximity to the hotel check-in. We were given a photocopied letter explaining that a large conference was booked in for the weekend and they suggested we reserve a table for dinner. I tried 5 times to get someone […] to answer the phone in the restaurant, tried reception who just put me through to the unanswered line. We gave up and went to the lounge for dinner. We sat and were ignored by all staff who were very hassled & busy, trying to do their best. It was obvious no additional staff had been employed for this busy weekend. I then went to the business centre to book in online. The printer had no paper. When I went to reception to ask for paper I was told that it was the end of the month and there were no more supplies. I cannot comment on the food as we did not have supper there & went to the local town. We did not even consider breakfasting there for obvious reasons. I have never given a poor report of a hotel before but if a hotel cannot do both hotel services & conference services to a reasonable standard then they should make a choice which kind of hotel they want to be. The proximity to Heathrow is a bonus but we will not be returning nor will we suggest the hotel to others who require a local hotel. Read more

The hotel and grounds were lovely. Upon arrival we checked in at reception but when we got to the room it was two single beds despite us upgrading to a superior room and asking for a queen bed. We went back to reception and were served by someone else as the previous receptionist was busy. The gentleman kindly changed our room and from then on made […] sure we were OK. The other receptionist told him that the beds could be pushed together but that is not what we paid for. The only disappointments were there were two weddings taking place on consecutive days and the discos could be heard in our room. Also no one told us that the restaurant was closed on both days so we would not be able to get food at the hotel. Luckily there was a Harvester around the corner. the hotel itself was very nice, the grounds and surroundings were nicely kept, didn't realise the estate was so big, although the reception gave us a map which helped a lot. The photos on the website were misleading, showing only the main house. The hotel is actually enormous and actually housed in a 60s/70s block out the back. To keep it brief , this is a large hotel made up from different buildings , linked together. Our room was in a newer wing and was fine . Very disappointed upon arrival; despite paying a large sum for the night, we were to be staying in a tired-out annex. The room was tiny, decor tatty, view of the carpark wholly uninspiring and grey bathroom suite enough to make me pick up the phone and attempt to ask to be moved. Service at reception no better; a sullen receptionist stared at me while I explained that I was unhappy, and did not offer any suggestions as to how my stay might be made more enjoyable. Out of pure frustration I enquired about the cost of upgrade. After parting with another uncomfortably large amount of money (despite the hotel being largely empty), my partner and I found our new room in the White House. What a difference! I wouldn't say it was worth the (by now huge) price tag at all, but it met what I had originally hoped for. Gym facilities were limited, but ok; no air con though which made things rather uncomfortable. After a delightful meal in town (we decided not to risk the restaurant), we investigated the bar. Wow. I’ve never been to a seaside holiday village, but I'm pretty sure that my (brief) experience on the evening of 31st July was not a million miles away. Tacky, smelly, cheap. To give them their due, breakfast was good and plentiful and the gentleman on reception who arranged our taxi in the morning was nothing but efficient and polite. Overall, very disappointing. An OK stay at Beaumont Estate. We stayed at this hotel for one night as our friend had her wedding and reception there. The hotel was just OK. There was no air con, no iron in the room, the shower curtain stank and the tiles in the bathroom were cracked. We had a double room, which was tiny. On the up side, when we requested a fan and iron they arrived […] 2 hours later. We didnt have breakfast included but some of our friends did and they enjoyed it.
