Hotel was in it seem to an older part of town and was an older hotel that was in the process of a facelift. But was pleasantly surprise with how comfortable and clean the room was. The hosts offered pleasant surprises, such as bringing fresh chips and salsa to our room as they checked to be sure we found the room comfortable. The landscaping is whimsical, and includes a large red chile pepper to mark the property. Parking is convenient to the rooms. I stayed at this motel my last 2 out of 3 visits to Las Cruces & plan to stay again soon. It is a clean, friendly, family-owned operation. No frills other than a beautiful new outdoor pool (too cold to use in November), really cool & whimsical gardens & a small fridge & microwave in every room. The neighborhood – Motel Circle - took me back in time to the 50s, reminiscent of old Route 66, with 50’s neon signs gracing neighboring properties and a full-sized plaster horse on a 60-foot tower in front of the nearby feed store. This hotel tops them all, however, with the World’s Largest Red Chili in front (I don’t normally capitalize common nouns, […] but that sculpture is truly deserving). Colorful, artistic chili- and southwest- themed panels dress up the front exterior. Our hosts were friendly, but due to a late arrival we missed the watermelon I’ve heard they provide guests upon summer check-ins. The room was large and clean but certainly old and worn. I could overlook the crumbly wall corners and stained carpet because I liked the laid-back ambiance when I walked outside: The owners have transformed a drab, sterile, standard-issue central courtyard and pool area into an exuberant xeric and chili garden. It was August, so coffee in the garden was relaxing and pleasant at 7:00 AM. I’m sure it bakes for the rest of the day. The breakfast offering was indifferent, kind of like winging it with college roommates. There’s a waffle restaurant next door that looks like a good bet for a hearty full breakfast. If you play, there’s a grand piano in the lobby. I recommend bring –your-own martinis and a sing-along for some home-grown entertainment. Summary: I really liked this hotel. Some aspects will put off fastidious travelers. Read more

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Las Cruces, NM. It is family owned and operated, with a huge emphasis on customer service. The rooms are very clean, and there is a lovely garden area where you can relax by the pool or grill if you wish.

I was moving here but couldn't move into my apartment for another five days. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds have nice plants (especially chile peppers of various kinds). The […] breakfast is continental style with pastries, bagels, and cereals. I enjoyed the oatmeal I would fix with milk and then fruit of the day (canned) and the coffee was good, too. The price was certainly right even if the location was only so-so. Loved this family owned hotel! Was 104 degrees day I got there and was delivered fresh sliced watermelon when I checked in! The pool area was beautiful with local plant gardens and gazebo was beautiful and relaxing! Room clean and nice- not fancy but homey. Felt safe as single woman staying there- owners lovely and kind! The owners of this hotel could not have been nicer! We were given a fruit tray and they even delivered the ice! Though this hotel is undergoing a "facelift", the room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again as I can't wait to see the pepper plants producing! Owners and staff were very friendly, helpful and wonderful people. The hotel was clean, but you could tell it was an old building that had been re-painted, etc. It's a bare-bones place with a hard bed, but was perfect for the stay-over when we were too tired to drive any further.

Owner Dave and his wife are great! Greeted me with appetizer in the room as soon as I checked in. Not the best location but once on the hotel grounds, who cares? The place is clean, lobby is big and has 2 pianos, breakfast is decent and courtyard with pool and gazebo is a good gathering place. Price is right too!

my friend and i caravanned from the phoenix area to las cruces and were a bit shocked, but oh-so impressed with the warm welcome and personal service that awaited us at the america's best value inn. everything was delightful, right down to the plate of chips & salsa and offer of bottled water or sodas (whatever we might need). the rooms came with a […] mini fridge and microwave and everything was wonderfully comfortable. we were even walked to and shown our rooms by the owner after checking in so he could be sure everything was to our satisfaction. i will absolutely stay at this property again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to spend a night or several in las cruces. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at America's Best Value Inn. Our hosts were so thoughtful and considerate -- you can tell that their focus is on the guests' needs and comfort. While it isn't a brand new hotel, it is clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. It seems that they are continually trying to improve and upgrade the rooms. The bathrooms […] were recently redone. It feels more like you are visiting family. They have a pool and lovely gardens, with so many beautiful rose bushes. When he found out my husband was a fellow-Aussie, our host brought out a jar of Vegemite to share with him! Whenever we drive the I-10 we will definitely stay here in Las Cruces. I had booked a king suite but what I got was a double queen which certainly was not a suite as there was no lounge area and was ill equipped. No coffee machine, fridge, microwave, hairdryer, iron and a pretty old TV. Friendly enough owner but not good enough.
