"A fine hotel in a great city."
Helpful & friendly staff, great location, lovely roof-top breakfast--excellent value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice boutique hotel, conveniently located with great seafood reataurant, Hank's right around the corner. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast facility on rooftop with view. Charming older building, very well maintained. Only complaint was a malfunctioning (though modern) thermostat that kept the room too cold.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful location!! Beautiful room!!!"
Great place to stay! The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Would love to stay here again. Close to restaurants and shopping.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent hotel....but beware of horses!!"
The Andrew Pinckney is great in almost every way (staff, breakfast, cleanliness, comfort, etc.). Rooms are small, but what you would expect for an historic, downtown hotel. Only issue is that the hotel is located about a block from all the carriage ride stables - in the heat of summer the smell of horse manure/urine is pretty strong. Other than that, […] the location is easy walking distance to all the tourist, shopping, dining, and cultural attractions. Highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"SC Honeymoon 7/2013"
The Andrew Pinkney was a great choice for us. It was in the middle of the historic/resort district. This was our honeymoon and our first trip to South Carolina. We encountered weather delays getting to Charleston and the staff was very willing to "wait" for our arrival and assured us that our late, 9pm, arrival was not an issue. The accommodations were […] excellent and we loved the split level townhouse we chose. Everything was within walking distance and the local restaurants were very good. One observation I had that we took advantage of, was being able to walk around town at night. A walk to the waterfront and through the city streets was very enjoyable and quite safe. We noticed a lot of foot traffic which says a lot about the surrounding area. I'd recommend the Andrew Pinkney to anyone looking for a quiet, clean stay and a staff that went out of its way to help us. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to all the activities"
We had an enjoyable time. Cute hotel with an excellent restaurant Hank just around the corner. The breakfast was nice and the view is great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Modern and Comfortable Inn"
I was very pleased with my overall experience at the Andrew Pinckney, from the moment we arrived until we departed. We were warmly greeted by the front desk clerk, who quickly arranged for our car to be valeted and to have our luggage taken upstairs. The room featured modern amenities but was still comfortable. The rooftop terrace breakfast was lovely […] and unique. The Inn is located in the middle of downtown and it was easy to walk around and find great food, drinks and shopping. The staff also allowed us to keep our car valeted after checkout so we walk around and eat lunch. I am very happy with our decision to stay at the Andrew Pinckney and highly recommend it. "Small hotel, big on service"
The Andrew Pinckney Inn is a boutique hotel that is big on service. The staff was attentive and understanding. We had to change rooms because of noise. They immediately and without question met our request for a room change. Since the hotel is so small, the staff recognized us and knew our room number without asking. The hotel was clean and comfortable. […] We would definitely stay there the next time that we visit Charleston. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel and convenient for walking in Charlesto"
Missed not having a pool and a window in our room. We liked the room but it was small and in the middle of this old building. So, I worried about fire escapes. But a nice place and a nice guy, Drew, who did valet knew where the restaurants were.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had an amazing time in Charleston and loved our hotel!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, excellent services"
I really enjoyed my stay at the Andrew Pinckney Inn. The old fashioned setting and the style of the building was just what should be expected in a historic city. It was close to all of the most interesting sights in the center of Charleston, walking distance from many of the galleries and the market. The staff could not have been more helpful and polite. […] The breakfast consisted of a nice selection and was located on the top floor with an outdoor balcony seating area that overlooked the City. "Great Location to visit Charleston sights"
Staff was very courteous. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast on terrace was wonderful way to start out Charleston Morning complete with fresh fruit. Cookies and lemonade in lobby was great coming in from heat outside as well. Would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect Location & Old Charm"
The hotel was located in the heart of downtown, a perfect location for a weekend getaway. The highlight of our trip was the breakfast on the rooftop ...how charming!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable but pricey"
The hotel room we were in was clean and the bathroom fixtures were recently upgraded. The bathroom was extremely small. The floor was in need of repair. The bed was comfortable although a little large for the room. All in all we found the room comfortable. We found the breakfast food to be very good and enjoyed eating outside on the rooftop with a view […] of the harbor. The employees were very congenial and helped us with making reservations. There was an additional $20 charge per day to park in their parking area. It would be nice if this were mentioned in their online rates. The location was perfect for us. "Wonderful hotel located in the heart of downtown"
We had a great experience at the Andrew Pinckney Inn. They had great service, the room was quaint, but there was an amazing balcony on the top floor overlooking the city to eat and spend time. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any couple wanting to stay downtown to see the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location in the middle of historical area"
The only complaint we have is the road noise. There was a lot of loading and unloading done outside our room. Also, could hear people outside late at night. The location was perfect for walking the city. The Breakfast was ok, though it was not overflowing.Genuine Expedia guest review
Everything was perfect. The rooms could use a small refrigerator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My stay was very nice but my room was a little small for my liking....also I would have liked more variety with the breakfast selection, overall my stay was quit pleasurable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
WFI was very very slow--seemed like dial up. Otherwise a very nice place.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Charming Inn with a great location in town"
Very nice boutique hotel, large room, super location in the historical district and could walk everywhere. Beautiful rooftop breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"beautiful hotel - ask for a window!!"
Beautiful hotel, fabulous location. Only issue: our room had no window. It faced an inner courtyard. Other than that, it is perfect. Outdoor porch for breakfast was very nice. Staff very helpful with great dinner recommendation. Perfect place to experience a beautiful city-- not sure how hard it would be to get a room with a window-- ask!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for anyone."
Excellent - didn't realize we'd be in an inside room with no window but , otherwise, very comfortable. Welcoming and very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you. Great location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful hotel in a perfect location!!"
My husband I stayed here for 3 nights and were very happy with the Andrew Pickney. The location to downtown Charleston, shops, and restaurants/bars was superb; as easy walk to everything we desired doing. The concierge was very helpful recommending great places. The rooftop breakfast was very good with nice views of the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is right in the middle of Charleston's historic district. You can walk to Marketplace, shopping, and dining. Or it's two short blocks to the free trolley stop that goes all over. Not a full breakfast but not 'continental" either. The staff was very helpful - made recommendations and got us dinner reservations at wonderful hard to get in […] places. It is a wonderful inn and we would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
After reading the reviews, I didn't think twice about booking the Pinckney, nor spending close to $400 a night. After traveling for 10 hours, we checked into the Pinckney. "Cool Place" I thought as we walked over to our room. We get into our room, and the girlfriend goes to use the restroom only to find that it wasn't clean...at all. Urine all over […] the toilet seat, hair all over the toilet, floor, and tub. Unacceptable. They did come up and clean the room while we went out for dinner, but I expect that to be done before we check in. Next, the worst part. Let me just warn any and all travelers here that if you do check into the Pinckney and they give you room 301, leave the hotel immediately. This room is not only directly next to the elevator, and next to where the maids like to park their carts, but it's also DIRECTLY below the 4th floor breakfast room. At 5am they begin setting up the room, dragging chairs and tables, banging all of the serving dishes around, walking back and forth (wood flooring everywhere) to the point that our room would shake. It was by far the noisiest hotel experience I've ever had. At least if it were a bunch of screaming kids, or other noisy guests, there would be someone I could yell at, but I felt helpless here. Just completely unacceptable for the price that I paid for this hotel. We loved Charleston (it was our first visit) and we will be coming back to the town, but I don't think there is any possible way we would stay at this hotel again. The location of the Inn is awesome! You are within walking distance of everything downtown. However, you won't want to spend any time in your room because the rooms are TINY. The toilet overflowed right when we checked in to our room. I reserved a room with a courtyard view and our window looked out at the indoor atrium.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cute Boutique hotel"
Staff was very polite & helpful. Room was cozy. Great location. Located one block from Meeting St, easy access to restaurants & shops. One block from carriage rides.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Central hotel to all sites"
Everything was wonderful but.... When I booked the hotel, confirmed it and when it came time to check in they told us they needed a credit card to charge us for parking...was never told this prior.. They told us it was $20.00 never told u it was $20.00 per day...Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location! Convenient to shopping and restaurants, short walk to the battery. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is in top of everything. Andrew was extremely helpful with recommendations and making reservations for me. I'll be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Type of smell"
The room was very nice, but the cleaner they used leaves a unplesant smell in the room. It is not over powering, but you can smell it. Our phone did not work. I looked on the stationary to get the hotel number and no one answered that phone. So my husband went down to tell them the phone did not work. They sent someone to look at it and offered to get […] us another one. I needed a wake up call, so they said that they would send someone up to wake us up. Which they did and we appreciated that. All in all it was a 8 out of a ten. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Hotel for the money and prime location"
What a great Hotel. Talk about serious bang for your buck. Staff was over the top kind and super friendly. They bring breakfast to your room free of charge. The decor, room styling and overall impression of the hotel was way more than we were expecting.Genuine Expedia guest review
We had a event with my company downtown so i thought it would be great to get a hotel downtown. We were in 220 second floor and right on the street. We could here people outside talking at three thirty in the morning fire truck police cars with blue lights on because some clown decided to set the dumpster on fire. We got settled back in and the a car […] alarm was going off. Not much rest. When we checked out i asked if that room was used alot he replied oh yes and then i said nicely lots of noise i could tell he has heard that many times Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location in historical Charleston"
We stayed there for three nights. Great location in Historical Charleston. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant recommended by the front desk staff, Fleeting Landing, is our favorite restaurant. Breakfast on the balcony is very romantic, with great harbor view. We would like to go back to the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

This place was really awesome, we had a really good time here. The breakfast was on the roof and it was free. It was a continetal breakfast but they had a pretty good selection to choose from. Very convenient location, really friendly staff and delicious cookies! A great value right downtown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very Clean, Friendly Staff, good loaction, but if you are looking to relax and sleep in during your stay, I wouldn't recommend staying here. It was the nosiest hotel room we have ever stayed in and it didn't help that our room was right next to the Elevator.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
