Andrew Pickney hotel was a perfect choice for our quick stay in charleston. We have a small baby and was able to put him to bed and sit in the cute courtyard drink wine and play games outside right outside our door! There was even a window so we could peek in to make sure he didnt wake up. Location is ideal. Right on market street where all the action […] is. Cheap daily parking. I would certainly recommend this hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfy Bed but Postage Stamp size room"
Our stay at the Andrew Pinckney Inn was fine as we didnt expect to spend much time in the room, thank goodness. The room itself was barely large enough to fit the Queen bed and desk, along with a small bath, although I must admit the bed was very comfortable. The price was quite reasonable and the complimentary breakfast was very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location - Great Value"
This charming Inn gave us a convenient location to see the historic homes of Charleston and visit some very nice eateries for Restaurant Week. Never needed to drive anywhere in our 2 day stay. And a nice breakfast was included.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay here again"
This is the second time I have stayed at this Inn and would definitely stay there again. Friendly staff, good location and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"great location - friendly staff"
Perfectly situated on quiet street in historic district, within walking district of shops, homes, restaurants. Very friendly staff went out of their way to make things comfortable. Rooms are small, but comfortable, especially considering reasonable price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel located in the heart of Charleston"
Easy to find, great staff and my wife thought the room was the cuties thing. We were near everything... market, horse carriages, shops and restaurants. The hotel was excellent with lots of comfort and space. Parking was excellent and very safe for those with high end cars. Jeff and the rest of the staff were the best, very helpful and they went beyond […] and above for us. It was a very enjoyable stayed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The actual facilities were mostly charming - however, the hot water heater broke the night we were there and was not fixed until the next evening. Because we were only staying for one night, this was very bad news. I took a cold shower in the morning and my wife decided to forego that experience. The hotel staff was apologetic, but didn't offer anything […] more than "We're sorry for the inconvenience." When I mentioned it again to the front desk upon checkout, they offered to waive my $20 parking charge. I feel like they should have done more to ensure our total satisfaction and we will not be returning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
No hot water two days had to take a cold shower and were offered no compensation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Inn was great and staff were super helpful, however it was loud at night. There was a tugboat that made noise for an hour or so and then street noise later. Otherwise it was a great location and easily within walking distance of downtown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved this Inn"
We spent 3 days here and really enjoyed our stay. We were lucky enough to get bumped up to a suite which was very roomy and clean. The staff was exceptional- always ready to give suggestions for dining and attractions and even handled making reservations. The breakfast each morning was always good. We did not stay in the building where breakfast was […] served but it was a short walk across the street so it was really no big deal. The location was excellent! We never moved our car once we got there because we could walk everywhere. We would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location for Short Get-Away!!"
We booked the Andrew Pinckney Inn based on the location to the historic district and we were not disappointed! It's a short walk to all the locations we were interested in seeing in Charleston. The Inn is a quaint hotel and the staff was very attentive; they were always willing to make suggestions and gave great recommendations for restaurants and tours. […] The 4th floor balcony/breakfast cafe was a real bonus because the weather was terrific, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. We would stay there again and hope to soon!! "Super central location and great service"
Great central location close to the Meeting Street market and the shops on King Street and art/antique galleries on King and Broad. Small, but comfortable, room on the second floor (room 200 in adjacent building). Would have preferred a room in a different location (this was directly across from the elevator), but the Beautyrest bed and soft pillows […] helped make up for it. Fabulous breakfast with fresh fruit, great granola, and a sumptious french toast with praline sauce. Hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend. "Perfect location...historic charm."
I loved the location of the Andrew Pinckney Hotel. To be in such a historic location, in a hotel with such lovely furnishings, was a delight. Every employee we dealt with showed extreme courtesy. We chose a Junior Suite in order to have a more spacious room. It was lovely. Breakfast on the fourth floor was quite nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location on the Battery and Pricey"
Our stay was for only two nights and the travel was last minute. The room was below the terrace so the scrapping of chairs could be heard that occurred mostly in the morning when breakfast was served. The staff was pleasant and no issues with room. The architectural features of the room fits in with old Charleston that included old wood floors and wains-coating […] panels. Given the prices of neighboring properties, it is fairly priced if you can stay during the week and avoid weekend. It is convenient to all the sites on Battery and restaurants. I did not need to move my car for my short stay. Parking is $20 a day for self parking or for valet. The breakfast was a little disappointing. Both mornings were some kind of quiche and biscuits and gravy that were not that good. The other items were your typical breakfast bar. "Great location & Staff but Average hotel room"
The staff is polite and professional and very helpful in person...not quite so much on the phone prior to our visit. The problem is that the inn is not a price performer. Our room was nice but nothing special. Amenities e.g. shampoo, lotion...were almost like a budget hotel. It is well kept ,and we enjoyed our visit .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"my favorite boutique hotel in Chas. so far"
I'm down in Charleston for business once a month and this has been my favorite of the boutique hotels so far. Clean, modern and convenient. You can't beat the rooftop terrace for breakfast in the fall!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Did not realize it was high season in Charleston when we booked....shocked by the $800 total for 2 nights in a standard Queen (plus car parking at $20/night)!!! "Great hotel close to all Charleston attractions"
Spent 3 nights here for a girls weekend. We loved the city of Charleston and the hotel had a lot of charm. We stayed in the 2 story townhouse which included a pull out coach and king size bed. We came to the Pinckney for our first trip to Charleston. It was wonderful! The patio on the 4th floor, where they serve breakfast, has a wonderful little view of the city. "Best Hotel I have EVER stayed in!"
My boyfriend and I looked through a lot of hotel reviews when we wanted to visit Charleston. This one just caught our eye with its good reviews, charm in pictures, and roof top breakfast...price was also a factor and this was neither cheap nor too pricey. It should have cost us triple what we paid. The ammenities were amazing! Fresh lemonaid and coffee […] all day long, terrific roof top breakfast with the best biscuits I've ever tasted! Hotel staff couldn't have been nicer... They practically ran to get what ever we asked for. The room was just gorgeous... I am in love with this hotel. "Great place to stay"
Breakfast was more than advertized and location was very good. Right off the market and close to the free trolly. The door did seem to have a larger gap than some. So if you are very light sensitive when it comes to sleeping, you may want to bring a sleeping mask.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Very nice boutique hotel, conveniently located with great seafood reataurant, Hank's right around the corner. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast facility on rooftop with view. Charming older building, very well maintained. Only complaint was a malfunctioning (though modern) thermostat that kept the room too cold.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent hotel....but beware of horses!!"
The Andrew Pinckney is great in almost every way (staff, breakfast, cleanliness, comfort, etc.). Rooms are small, but what you would expect for an historic, downtown hotel. Only issue is that the hotel is located about a block from all the carriage ride stables - in the heat of summer the smell of horse manure/urine is pretty strong. Other than that, […] the location is easy walking distance to all the tourist, shopping, dining, and cultural attractions. Highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"SC Honeymoon 7/2013"
The Andrew Pinkney was a great choice for us. It was in the middle of the historic/resort district. This was our honeymoon and our first trip to South Carolina. We encountered weather delays getting to Charleston and the staff was very willing to "wait" for our arrival and assured us that our late, 9pm, arrival was not an issue. The accommodations were […] excellent and we loved the split level townhouse we chose. Everything was within walking distance and the local restaurants were very good. One observation I had that we took advantage of, was being able to walk around town at night. A walk to the waterfront and through the city streets was very enjoyable and quite safe. We noticed a lot of foot traffic which says a lot about the surrounding area. I'd recommend the Andrew Pinkney to anyone looking for a quiet, clean stay and a staff that went out of its way to help us. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Modern and Comfortable Inn"
I was very pleased with my overall experience at the Andrew Pinckney, from the moment we arrived until we departed. We were warmly greeted by the front desk clerk, who quickly arranged for our car to be valeted and to have our luggage taken upstairs. The room featured modern amenities but was still comfortable. The rooftop terrace breakfast was lovely […] and unique. The Inn is located in the middle of downtown and it was easy to walk around and find great food, drinks and shopping. The staff also allowed us to keep our car valeted after checkout so we walk around and eat lunch. I am very happy with our decision to stay at the Andrew Pinckney and highly recommend it.
