"history meets luxury"
Beautiful well appointed room in central part of historic district. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were soft and inviting. The location was ideal. We were able to walk to restaurants, shopping, and the loading area for our horse drawn carriage ride. Would definitely return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect Inn for stay in Charleston, SC"
The Andrew Pinckney Inn is perfectly situated in downtown Charleston, SC and a short walk to the many shops and wonderful eateries in town, plus 2 blocks from the harbor with its attractions. All the staff were super friendly and helpful as one expects of a fine southern city. All recommendations for tours, dining, and directions were excellent. We […] very much enjoyed our stay, and would look forward to a return visit staying in the Pinckney. If you want old style charm, hospitality, and proximity to downtown Charleston, you've found it. "Location location location"
Great location, nice hotel. Really nice breakfast and afternoon reception. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was awesome. Down sides, hotel is two separate buildings and lobby was not in our building. My husband walked to the lobby three times only to be told coffee would be ready in 5 minutes but it never was. Air conditioner in room was either on or off […] so the room was either hot or cold. Fan in bathroom did not work. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Like horses? The surprise for me was that the hotel is just down the street from the stables for the carriage horses, so we heard the occasional clip clop down the street-music to my ears!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fantastic boutique hotel in old town"
Service was excellent in this small attractive hotel located one block from the old street market and within walking distance of everything. We created our own walking tour of the town and managed to see just about everything on our Charleston bucket list in one day. Can't say enough good things about all of the staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location for lots of activities"
The area surrounding the hotel was simply awesome! We were in walking distance to everything we wanted to do or see. The hotel stay was truly amazing too. They were available for suggestions, reviews, problems etc..From the valet to the housekeeping staff, we were very impressed! The only down side was the size/smell of our room. It was teeny tiny problem […] that was resolved by the housekeeper immediately. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well-located small hotel with a fantastic staff."
Even though our March visit was during a cold and rainy few days, the hotel couldn't have been more charming. We got good advice on 'indoor' things to do, complimentary umbrellas, and the recommendations for places to eat were right on. The room was cozy and the breakfasts were yummy. Definitely will come back to Charleston and to Pinckney Inn.Genuine Expedia guest review
Except for the rain, we otherwise had a delightful time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Noise really made my stay less than desirable despite the other outstanding aspects of their product and service. You could hear EVERYTHING in the Atrium and hallway just like it was right inside your room. I stayed in 311, which has a sidelight by the door and I think that sidelight was responsible for the lack of sound insulation from the hallway […] and atrium. I didn't see where it was necessary but perhaps it is a fire code issue. The noise insulation from neighboring rooms wasn't exceptional either but thankfully I had quiet neighbors. I will also dink them for providing inadequate eating facilities for the brekkie. They have a very nice outdoor eating area...when it's pleasant outside. But, they only provide the atrium two floors down from the buffet if you want to eat inside. Not so bad, except the tables are coffee table height and it is very uncomfortable, and the activity just makes for more noise in room 311. So, I went to my room to eat which didn't have so much as a side table to put a plate on. It was a small room but had two nicely upholstered chairs that would have been perfect for a compact work/eat table. The staff was very nice, especially the friendly valets who really tried to be helpful. The desk folks were pleasant but not particularly engaging. They had a nice cookie/coffee buffet in the lobby at all times and the place was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. The brekkie was adequate. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Historic hotel in Charleston"
Lovely facility in the heart of Charleston - handy to historic sites and restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in a king suite on a Friday for my wife's birthday and were completely blown away by the service, the amazing room, and the great location. We are charleston locals and have stayed at many of the historic district hotels and this by far beats them. Will defiantly be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Old world charm. Very well done pristine accommodations. Breakfast overlooking cruise ship and town. Pleasure to stay there. My wife even bought a painting of the hotel at the market!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is nice; the rooms that our group stayed in were across the street from the lobby. Our room was very small; probably about a 10 x 10 with a view of the "atrium". (which just means the interior of the hotel stairwell and surrounding walkways - we could not leave the small curtain up unless you wanted to come eye to eye with someone while sitting […] on your bed). The room had no drawers (except a 2" x 1" in the vanity) and there are no shelves. So with the tiny room and no storage - we lived out of our suitcases for 4 days. (the window would be better served with a cabinet or shelving). We did have a tiny window in the upper right corner of the wall - but could not see out.(our friends all had rooms overlooking the street - larger room; large window; small dresser) Bed was comfy. The free morning breakfast was nice on the outside balcony - as were the things left out at night if you want to bring your own drinks (no bar). Location was great, staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed at the Inn for 3 nights and were very satisfied. We had a King Bedroom across the street from the main building and it was very spacious and comfortable. We are slightly picky when it comes to hotel beds, and this bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast each morning was delicious. As far as location goes, the Inn is […] close to Market Street and a short walk to all of the sights and activities. This is a great place for couples or groups of adults to stay, but there doesn't seem to be much for children. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and we are likely to stay here again on our next visit. "Room very small bathroom VERY tiny"
Room too small little overpriced. Continental breakfast very good. Very clean facility.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is in a great part of the city, and within easy walking distance of the market and places downtown. The staff were all very friendly, but it was so loud ! I cannot fault the hotel for the fact that construction was taking place on a neighboring plot of land VERY early in the morning on each of the days we stayed, but the walls of the hotel […] itself seem to be made from cardboard. Talking in normal speaking voices in our room one evening brought a series of complaints from a neighboring guest. We were positioned in a room very close to the elevator, and were disturbed by both guests and staff alike at all hours as they talked in the corridor. The occupants of the room directly above us kept us awake late at night and woke us early in the morning. Footsteps alone sounded like the beating of a drum. Overall, I was dissatisfied with paying almost $200 per night for a very basic room in the eye of an aural hurricane. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Andrew Pickney hotel was a perfect choice for our quick stay in charleston. We have a small baby and was able to put him to bed and sit in the cute courtyard drink wine and play games outside right outside our door! There was even a window so we could peek in to make sure he didnt wake up. Location is ideal. Right on market street where all the action […] is. Cheap daily parking. "Comfy Bed but Postage Stamp size room"
Our stay at the Andrew Pinckney Inn was fine as we didnt expect to spend much time in the room, thank goodness. The room itself was barely large enough to fit the Queen bed and desk, along with a small bath, although I must admit the bed was very comfortable. The price was quite reasonable and the complimentary breakfast was very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel located in the heart of Charleston"
Easy to find, great staff and my wife thought the room was the cuties thing. We were near everything... market, horse carriages, shops and restaurants. The actual facilities were mostly charming - however, the hot water heater broke the night we were there and was not fixed until the next evening. Because we were only staying for one night, this was very bad news. I took a cold shower in the morning and my wife decided to forego that experience. The hotel staff was apologetic, but didn't offer anything […] more than "We're sorry for the inconvenience." When I mentioned it again to the front desk upon checkout, they offered to waive my $20 parking charge. The Inn was great and staff were super helpful, however it was loud at night. There was a tugboat that made noise for an hour or so and then street noise later. Otherwise it was a great location and easily within walking distance of downtown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We spent 3 days here and really enjoyed our stay. We were lucky enough to get bumped up to a suite which was very roomy and clean. "Great Location for Short Get-Away!!"
We booked the Andrew Pinckney Inn based on the location to the historic district and we were not disappointed! It's a short walk to all the locations we were interested in seeing in Charleston. The Inn is a quaint hotel and the staff was very attentive; they were always willing to make suggestions and gave great recommendations for restaurants and tours. […] The 4th floor balcony/breakfast cafe was a real bonus because the weather was terrific, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. We would stay there again and hope to soon!! "Super central location and great service"
Great central location close to the Meeting Street market and the shops on King Street and art/antique galleries on King and Broad. Small, but comfortable, room on the second floor (room 200 in adjacent building). Would have preferred a room in a different location (this was directly across from the elevator), but the Beautyrest bed and soft pillows […] helped make up for it. Fabulous breakfast with fresh fruit, great granola, and a sumptious french toast with praline sauce. Hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend. "Perfect location...historic charm."
I loved the location of the Andrew Pinckney Hotel. To be in such a historic location, in a hotel with such lovely furnishings, was a delight. Every employee we dealt with showed extreme courtesy. We chose a Junior Suite in order to have a more spacious room. It was lovely. Breakfast on the fourth floor was quite nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location on the Battery and Pricey"
Our stay was for only two nights and the travel was last minute. The room was below the terrace so the scrapping of chairs could be heard that occurred mostly in the morning when breakfast was served. The staff was pleasant and no issues with room. The architectural features of the room fits in with old Charleston that included old wood floors and wains-coating […] panels. Given the prices of neighboring properties, it is fairly priced if you can stay during the week and avoid weekend. It is convenient to all the sites on Battery and restaurants. I did not need to move my car for my short stay. Parking is $20 a day for self parking or for valet. The breakfast was a little disappointing. Both mornings were some kind of quiche and biscuits and gravy that were not that good. The other items were your typical breakfast bar. "Great location & Staff but Average hotel room"
The staff is polite and professional and very helpful in person...not quite so much on the phone prior to our visit. The problem is that the inn is not a price performer. "Great hotel close to all Charleston attractions"
Spent 3 nights here for a girls weekend. We loved the city of Charleston and the hotel had a lot of charm. We stayed in the 2 story townhouse which included a pull out coach and king size bed. It had 1.5 baths, perfect for a lot of girls. It also had a cute balcony which we could sit out on and enjoy the view. The location couldn't have been better […] and the staff was extremely helpful. The included breakfast was very good and you could sit out on a nice balcony while you ate it. The lobby also had tea, coffee and cookies in the afternoon. I would definitely reccommend this hotel.
