"Central in location to market square."
My stay was as expected. Extremely clean, neat and very quiet. Enjoyed our stay and recommend it for a weekend getaway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable, historic, romantic."
The hotel is small and charming. The breakfast was very good, but keep in mind that breakfast seating is very limited so come early. The staff were very helpful. Their parking is very limited but they do offer overflow parking in the nearby parking garage for a fee. Overall, very happy with our stay here and would definitely stay here again. "Close to City Market"
Beautiful historic hotel, location was perfect. Breakfast on the roof terrace was delightful. Air conditioning in room needs to upgraded, we were not suppose to lower air below 69 degrees, which made sleeping a little uncomfortable. But overall I would recommend the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A beautiful piece of historic Charleston"
Beautiful and comfy hotel in historic downtown Charleston. The friendly staff was fully prepared to meet our travel needs, suggesting restaurants and points of interest relevant to tourists and even bringing travel brochures to our room upon request. The added benefit of a close parking deck solidified our satisfaction with our stay at this cosy inn. […] The only thing that could have been improved was the variety of the continental breakfast. Overall, highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Would stay here again."
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were nice. Very good location - walking distance to restaurants and shops. Complimentary breakfast on the balcony was nice. Downside - no pool, overflow parking is in garage next door. A decent value for Charleston.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"YOU SHOULD STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!"
OUR STAY THERE WAS WONDERFUL, EVERYONE WAS VERY HELPFUL, I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE BREAKFAST (THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!!) AND THE OUTSIDE BALCONY WHERE WE ATE ALONG WITH THE GREAT VIEW. THE SECOND FAVORITE THING WAS THE VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS, QUITE AMAZING......... I GUESS MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THAT THE ROOM WAS REALLY SMALL AS WAS THE BATHROOM...........BUT […] ON THE OTHER HAND WHO SPENDS ALOT OF TIME IN THEIR ROOM WHILE IN CHARLESTON!!!!!!!!!!!THERES JUST TO MUCH TO DO THERE AND YOUR RIGHT IN TOWN NOT FAR AT ALL FROM THE WATER AND MOST EVERYTHING.........NOW IF THEY COULD POSSIBILY PUT IN A FEW FANS WHERE WE ATE THEN THE PLACE WOULD INDEED BE PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!! "Great weekender"
This hotel is perfectly situated near the French Quarter and the aquarium wharf, as well as some of the best restaurants in Charleston ( Fig and The Gin Joint). My only complaint would be the room we got: 206. Clean, yes, but comically small. Only enough room for a queen bed and a desk. The bed is practically in the bathroom. Fine for a well-developed […] relationship, but probably very embarrassing for two people still in the first blush of love. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Unique experience"
We very much enjoyed our stay. It was very convenient to everything. We parked our car and did not get back in. We walked everywhere. The battery was a nice place to walk at night. The only disappointment was that us was advertised no children under 18. This is why we chose this particular place to stay. There were small children at breakfast and a […] crying baby downstairs. Normally not a big deal. But we were looking for a quiet retreat Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice, older hotel"
I wish there had been a pool, I was debating between this and another hotel but this hotel had free wifi and breakfast, so that is why I went with this hotel, the room was smaller then i remember and there are no fridges or microwaves in the room, or coffee machines, however you can go to lobby for cookies and coffee, Love their biscuits in gravy(well […] for hotel standards) nice fresh fruits and good coffee. Pictures on the website are very deceiving, we almost fell onto the bed when we opened the door. Very small room. Shower a bit outdated, but the staff was superb.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Park your car and enjoy the walk!"
The hotel was in close walking distance to all the places we enjoy in historic Charleston. The rooms were comfortable with cozy beds and nice towels. I was surprised to find the carpet not as clean as the rest of the room. The rooftop breakfast is a tasty and nice added touch. It was a quaint experience for a lovely get-a-way weekend!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"iCharming hotel with great location"
We really enjoyed our stay. The Pinkney is a perfect location. It is central to all sights walking distance. The staff were helpful and so friendly. We will stay again when we can.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
WE loved the city. The hotel room was very nice, but we made our reservations well ahead and were still placed in the room underneath the breakfast bar, which was very noisy with the scraping of chairs overhead. The concierge was extremely helpful and gave us wonderful tips.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beatiful hotel"
The room was perfect, with the charm of an historic building. The breakfast, with hot & cold selections, was served on a rooftop dining area. It was great to get up early and have coffee with a view of the water. So many restaurants, shops and historic sites were an easy walk. Parking is available either behind the main building or next door, in a parking […] garage. I would absolutely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A very good hotel, incredibly well located"
Everything was fine, including the free breakfasts. We went for the Spoleto Festival and could walk to all the events. Only problem was that we had an interior room without an outside window. Not serious. Excellent bathroom.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wonderful room no amenities"
This is a beautiful hotel located in downtown Charleston. The room we had was spacious and confortable. If you want amenities however this is not the hotel for you. It is a room thats all. The area outside closes down around 7 so if you want bottled water you should already have it. The parking lot dose not fit all the travelers cars, so if you going […] to be in and out you have to park at a municipal lot down the street. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"worth the downsides"
Charleston is old. If you want to stay in an old inn, you have to have different expectations. It is creaky and you can certainly hear most everything that goes on in the hall, and it's comfortable enough but not on par with what you would get for the same price in, say, Las Vegas. But the same holds for NYC or DC too. In any case, I liked this a lot […] because we wanted to be centrally located and pop in and out as we pleased. The non-cleaning staff are excellent. Cleaning staff wasn't stellar, knocking on our door three times the day of check out to see if we were gone yet (before check out time). We didn't have the do not distrub sign up but still. Breakfast is pretty good and start the day off right. If you want standard hotel stuff for the price, stay at one of the chains and it might be better. It was worth it to us, though, to stay in something historic and unique. I would probably alternative between Pinckney and a chain on subsequent visits, depending on mood and purpose of the trip. "An oasis in Charleston"
Our experience was delightful from the moment we entered the charming, cozy lobby. Our room was nicely furnished and decorated. It was very quiet and comfortable. We really looked forward to breakfast on the rooftop terrace. The cookies served in the lobby each afternoon were scrumptious! The staff was very professional and extremely helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pleasant Stay"
Our accommodations were very good, and overall we were pleased. However, there was one mishap. The Inn parking lot had a tree that splattered red berries on the hood, roof and front and rear windows of our car. They could not be scraped off as the heat plastered them onto our car. We had to take it through a full service car wash ~ twice! The hotel […] did not offer any recompense for our trouble, time, and expense. We noticed that this happened to 4-5 cars in the lot. "Great boutique style hotel"
We were presently surprised with both the downtown location and the large size of our room at this quaint "inn". The Andrew Pickney is comprised of at least two buildings and both are styled with classic southern charm. We will make this a stopping place in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For the price of this hotel, it was a great value. The location is unbeatable. The room was comfortable. Bathroom was a bit tight, but that was the only downfall. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was included and was delicious! No room service or workout facilities, but that was unimportant to us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely stay at the Andrew Pinkney"
I was very pleased with this hotel, after a dreadful stay the previous night out of town. The rooms are quaint and clean. Our free breakfast was pretty good, and improved by a lovely view off of the terrace. I have only one complaint. As a young adult, I felt slightly uncomfortable with the outdoor corridoor on the first floor, but the inn may have […] given me a room with an indoor hallway had I asked. The people at the front desk were always knowledgable and very helpful with everything from dinner reservations to directions...they even had a corkscrew for us to borrow! Lovely hotel that is centrally located in Charleston and within walking distance to everything. Loved the decor and high ceilings. "Andrew Pinckney - ask for a big room"
I've stayed at this hotel before and had a great stay. It's in a great location, and breakfast on the roof is so nice (even in February1). This time our room was only big enough to fit the bed - this made it uncomfortable all night as the room got hot, then freezing when the air kicked on right next to the bed. The bathroom was a foot from whoever is […] watching tv on the bed - a little too cozy. And there were no windows. I should have complained that night and asked for a bigger room but I thought it would be a funny story, until the morning when I hadn't slept at all. There were no windows so you couldn't tell whether it was day or night - I was ready to get outside! This room shouldn't even be an option for guests- make it a broom closet! "Andrew {inckney Hotel Charleston, SC"
Nice hotel in the heart of the historic district. Never had to move the car all week. We would stay here again. Close to shopping, bars and restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good but not great!"
The room was large with a tiny bathroom. There was a live roach in the bath tub. There was no room service or vending machines anywhere nearby. I would have liked to have had bottled water in the room or a small refrigerator to store my own. There are many nice places to eat in downtown Charleston within walking distance, so that enhanced my overall […] experience. The free breakfast was nice, but even there, bottled water was not an option. It was a good stay, but I personally prefer more hotel services like having a coffee pot in the room and a small restaurant would have been nice or even a gift shop to purchase small items. "Fantastic Stay"
The location cannot be beat.....within walking distance of almost everything. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The front desk employees were very nice and helpful. The parking lot was small and backing out was a pain....there were major amounts of bird dropping the next morning, but not a big deal. The breakfast was casual......just enough […] to start the day - decent selection of items. Honestly, for the money, this place can't be beat. I would absolutely stay here again. Great place to stay in Charleston. Attentive staff, nice big room although we had to rearrange the large chairs in order to watchtower TV.
