This hotel was fantastic overall. They had the very best customer service I have experienced anywhere. It was extremely clean and I am a germ freak so that was very important to me. The only problem was that when I arrived, there was no parking except valet parking and they charged me $24 per night unexpectedly. That was not mentioned when I booked on hotels.com so it was actually higher price to stay than I thought because I thought I was paid in full from hotels.com and did not expect any extra charges like this. But the hotel was very nice and clean and I was happy with that part of it and it was a fair price for the room. All the staff was extremely helpful and nice.

The hotel had everything we needed and was so very comfortable. The staff was truly great with our dog, and we felt very welcome. Also, we somehow got a deal on the parking (perhaps because we stayed two nights?) and going in-and-out was a breeze. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Alexandria.

I would definitely stay at the Westin in Arlington on my next visit which is only another 10 minutes away instead in my future visits. I reserve at king size bed and they did not tell me that they were sold out until my arrival. Their integrity is in question based on the price that I paid for this room.

The in-room temperature control was somewhat out of date for the caliber of the hotel. Even with the great comfortable bed, I did not have a good night sleep as the room bounced between being too hot and too cold. All other amenities and service were up to par.

Hotel was very good but the location was not the best. It was not convenient to Old Town Alexandria and King Street and there were other hotels much closer. As far as the hotel itself, it was up to normal standards for a Westin and I would stay there on business but not for pleasure.

Hotel.com rates were a real bargain for the room. One minor complaint, because I don't like air diretly on me, is that the A/C vent dumps air directly onto the bed. Didn't bother the wife at all. She liked to air. Great restaurants and Old Town ambience.

For a 4 star hotel, this was a little below what I expected, service wise. They talked about a shuttle (assumingly to downtown Alexandria), but it took you only to the trolley stop (2 blocks away!) Finding hotel information was hard (usually there's info in the room as to hotel services)... I couldn't even find the number for the front desk (not on the phone). The hair dryer was under the sink wrapped up (versus mounted on the wall). There was no minibar in the room, and the "refrigerator" didn't work - (and they proudly tell you that when you call down about it)- a lousy way of making you order room service for sure. The room itself was ok but I've been in much better 4 star hotels

This was a great family hotel with a super convenient location. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff was very attentive. The gift shop manager was extremely helpful in teaching us about the metro. We got a good deal through hotels.com so the $24/night parking fee didn't feel excessive. We loved the valet service with unlimited in/out service throughout the day. King St. with all of the quaint shops and restaurants was just minutes away. Overall great stay. Looking forward to visiting again.

Great for the price if you have a car/don't mind hoofing it into DC to sight-see. Room was extremely comfy. The first night there we didn't have energy to go out to eat, so we had sushi delivered to us at the hotel and they didn't give us a hard time about it, which was nice.
