This was a great option for me and my family since we were all able to stay together in a condo. The place had a great view of the battleship and the river. There weren't that many pots/pans so we couldn't cook breakfast like we had planned. The furniture was a little worn and the fold out couch was not very comfortable. Our room was great - 8th floor overlooking the river and awoke to network shooting of Revolution downtown. So we got to have coffee and watch some of it off the balcony and then walked down and saw some more of their other shots. Room was great and bed was so comfortable!

So enjoyed the view of the river from our front balcony. Also enjoyed the convenience to shopping, places to eat and the Riverwalk. The bedroom in the back of our suite was noisy because of the delivery trucks and trash removal at early hours in the morning because of the businesses in the rear of the condo. The suite was relatively clean- hairs in bathroom and shower, but had a very worn and stained carpet. Grimey and needing paint along baseboard trim. Small galley kitchen had no overhead or under cabinet lighting. Child-sized chairs and table were on balcony- why? Bed was very firm memory foam. It is an excellent location for exploring the Riverwalk […] and adjacent historic district, but can be somewhat noisy. Specifically, there can be quite a bit of noise from the back of building as bars close and your neighbors can be as the Brits say "p*ssed" and loud. The Coast Guard cutter also has a generator or refridgeration unit running so keep the sliding doors on th balcony closed. View is also partially blocked by the thirty odd foot superstructure of the cutter. The deal we got on this from Expedia made it worthwhile- at same time, forget about extending as they will not provide anything like same discount. For the original price, you would be better off if you go to the Riverfront Hilton across the street. Read more

My wife and I took a weekend getaway and wanted to spend the night in downtown Wilmington. The location of this hotel is amazing. The battleship was literally pointed right at our balcony! Great bars and restaurants in walking distance. The suites are incredibly nice - more like apartments really. Even a washer and dryer in our suite. The nightlife […] in the area is great, but since the balaconies are all waterfront you can't hear anything from the rooms at night. The only trick that the website doesn't tell you is to check in at the Hilton up the street - we found that one out the hard way. Very clean room. Our sink drain was busted, but once we figured that out we just used the one in the kitchen. No biggie. We will definitely stay at here again on future trips. Read more

Very dirty, the carpet is filthy and bathroom floor had hair stuck to baseboards and dirt stuck to the floor. Great layout with a private bedroom, and nice kitchen area. Excellent view of the Cape Fear River, the US Coast Guard Cutter "Diligence", and the USS North Carolina. Close to waterfront attractions, and downtown Wilmington.

We will never stay here again. These are individually owned suites managed by the Hilton. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but told them we would not stay 2nd night. Last year we had a lovely well-maintained unit on WEEK nights; this time we stayed on Sat. night. On checkout we gave the Hilton a list of 10 problems - the living rm carpet looked like […] they had played beer pong in the room. The other problem with this location is noise. You can hear the music from town bars half the night and then the drunks return to the hallway outside your bedroom. My husband called the Hilton at 3:00 AM complaining. Also, you have to park in a lot next door and there are no luggage carts. The only plus is the view of the river and battleship and walking to shops and dining. Read more

We always stay here when we come home to wilmington to visit. I enjoy the large living space and the seperate room, The balcony over looking the river is wonderful and our friends enjoy coming over to hang out people watch and enjoy the view. The location is superb if you love downtown wilmington and like to walk to restaurants and bars and the histortic […] areas. The only drawbacks are that they do not have internet, they gave us a modem but this time it really did not work well. The condo was owned by the Wilmington Hiltln Riverside, which is where you check in - only a stone throw away. Maid service was provided by Hilton each day, including fresh, clean towels. Entire condo was spotless! Felt comfortable walking around without shoes or flip flops. Although we did not have time to use them, access to the Hiton pool and other […] Hilton amenities is included. Parking pass was free because we booked through Hotels.com. Tons of restaurants, bars/pubs, coffee shops, and retail shops within walking distance. Major chain restaurants and malls within minutes by car. Numerous beaches about 20-30 minutes away. Sit on the balcony ... feel the breeze of the river ... and view the Battleship North Carolina and the Riverwalk on Water Street. VERY pleased with the Riverview Suites and the friendly Hilton staff. Most of the suites in this hotel are not rentals. Its not owned by the Hilton across the street, just managed by it. There is no lobby in this building. That doesn't affect anything one way or another, just notable. They provide a free parking tag for the covered lot right next to the hotel. Its in the heart of downtown Wilmington, every bar/restaurant/nightlife/shop/etc […] is within an easy walking distance. Read more
