"very dissapointed at Tahiti Village in Las Vegas"
Reviewed by Jim of Newport Beach, CA on Jan 10, 2010
Simple; sauna does not work. In room if you need hot water you have to run it 5-10 minutes until it gets warmer. What a waste. Second day I returned to hotel and my bed and room was in same condition as I left. Surprise of the night; toilet paper ran out and no replacement paper in room. Building is new and OK I guess but management sucks. These are the basic things should be taken care of with no problems.

Tahiti Village is a nice way to escape the hassle that comes with staying at a hotel on the strip. This hotel is close enough that you can be at the strip in minutes but far enough to escape the traffic, noise etc. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. I will definitely use Tahiti Village as a home base in the future.

We went there for Thanksgiving with another couple. It is the perfect spot if you are travelling with friends or family and have children with you. We loved the fact that we had a joint living-room with enough space for all of us to have breakfast together in the morning and for the adults to spent time together at night when the kids were asleep. The location is not too bad (right past the airport if you drive down the strip) and we did not hear any noise from the airplanes taking off or landing. We had to ask for pots and pans but they brought them into the appartment right away when we called them up. There is no cleaning service included unless you stay for at least 7 nights, but that did not bother us. We enjoyed not having to leave the room for them to clean it. There was a nice steam shower and a jacuzzi tub in our bathroom and a big flatscreen TV in our bedroom. The pool is awsome and so is the floating river and it is heated. Overall a really nice place to go with the family if you are looking for something better than just a hotel room.

Tahiti Village is a good hotel and I would definetly stay there again. The room was very spacious and luxurious. The room had a private bedroom, a full kitchen, a washer/dryer, 2 tvs with dvd players. a jacuzzi bathtub, a balcony, and a shower / sauna. Other than a few issues with room service, everything was great. They have everything you would need right there, a convience store (they sell beer), a bar, a shuttle to the strip, and they even had a Denny's on site. My Overall stay there was fun, hope to be going back soon.

A beautiful pool/sap/garden area is at the center of this resort, complete with a decent sound system featuring cleverly hidden speakers. However, instead of the sounds of the islands, or the sounds of nature, or even any acoustic music, this sound system plays lounge music! So even though we're spared the casino experience here, any illusion of escape is instantly shattered by The Candyman by Sammy Davis Jr. and more tunes like that. In addition, this hotel doesn not offer wireless internet, only wired, and they charge $10 for that. So that makes it a little inconvenient for working.

We only ordered room service once, which was to change our beddings, it took them one and a half hour to do it! Very limited parking space! The hotel share parking lot with the residents next to them, we have to circling around several times to find a spot! We will definitely not use this hotel again!

The staff at the front desk were all wonderful and always went the extra mile to be of service, from getting a hair dryer to my room and printing our boarding passes. They were great. Especially one young man, and I wish I had his name, cause he was excellent! We had a junior suite which only had a kitchenette (no stove or dishwasher). I would have preferred a room on the pool side (and maybe a balcony). I usually stay on the strip, but wanted to enjoy the pool and lazy river. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The weather wasn't quite warm enough for the lazy river.

HOWEVER, WHILE SITTING BY THE VERY NICE POOLS, AIRCRAFT ARE TAKING OFF OVER THE SKIES OVER THE HOTEL WHICH IS NOT FAR FROM THE AIRPORT... MANY UNITS HAVE A WASHER AND DRYER COMBO. IF YOU WISH TO WASH YOUR OWN CLOTHE , THERE ARE ONLY 4 WASHING MACHINES IN ONE OF THE BLDGS. AND ONLY TWO WORKED KIND OF OK. I SUGGEST THAT THE MANAGEMENT HAVE A WASH ROOM IN ALL 5 BLDGS. THIS WOULD MAKE THE PLACE NICER FOR THEIR GUESTS.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We were pleased and surprised to discover all the amenities in our suite: full kitchen, washer/dryer, steam shower, DVD player, table and four chairs on the balcony. The sand pool, lazy river and hot tub were very well-maintained and manned by lifeguards. Everything was clean and nice-looking. A few complaints: there was no Disney Channel for our kids (although there were two Nick channels) and the buttons on the TV remotes were hard to push. Also, and this is a big one, there was no Internet server! The hotel rented WiFi modems, but my husband already had one of those on his laptop. Without the server, we were unable to access email or go online the entire trip. This should really be fixed, since it's 2009 and most people want easy Internet access even on vacation. Otherwise, a great deal for the money and a great place to stay with kids in Vegas!

Good restaurant however, always have to have two tabs open because as I was told each time, "the restaurant and bar are owned by two separate companys". As a customer, do I care?

I was extremely dissatisfied with our hotel stay. We stayed for 5 days and for four of those days the pool was closed because of a broken bottle. The whole reason we went to this hotel was because of the pool. We have two small children and they wanted to play in the pool and sand area. When I complained to the front desk, I was told we could still use the lazy river. My kids did not want to use the lazy river. They wanted the pool. Why does it take four days to clean a broken bottle? When I complained to the pool manager, she never returned my call. We will not stay there again.

I was at first very impressed with the room due to it's size and ease of access to the freeways. Then the little things started to creep up. They actually CHARGE you for maid service unless you stay there for at least seven days?! There is no internet access in the room unless you want to pay a per day fee for the "privilege!" This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at since the days of dial-up that actually charged the resident for internet access. Also, we had a full kitchen but no pots, pans, or anything. If you want any of those things you have to request them from the front desk and don't expect them anytime soon! Finally, anytime I spoke with the front desk they always had an attitude like I was an inconvenience to them. It's their job to provide great customer service and failed horribly. I would never stay there again and will recommend anyone avoid this place like the plague.

We stayed here 3 nights and it was perfect! Our 1 year old had plenty of room to run around in the room (we had the smaller kitchenette room). My only recommendation is to bring lots of outlet covers as there are quite a few outlets scattered throughout. The sandy beach was great for him too, and he loved riding with us on the Lazy River! For the adults it is great too, the water is bath temperature warm and very relaxing, plus the pool side bar serves yummy cocktails and beer. The hot tub is open 24 hours, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to enjoy it, but it looked great! The shuttle was enjoyable and a quick ride to The Strip. All in all a fantastic stay and I would definitely stay here again. Maybe next time we'd spend a bit more to get the room with the pool side deck though!
