The panoramic view of the surrounding BVI islands from our balcony was awesome. The hotel private beach was deserted and spectacular -- snorkeling from the beach to nearby Nail Bay was the best we had in the Caribbean. Amazing coral garden and unique marine life. I spent 6 nights in a deluxe room at the Nail Bay Resort and generally agree with the other reviews here. It's not the fanciest hotel on Virgin Gorda but it is clean, quiet, pleasant and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They were extremely responsive with respect to all sorts of questions including helping me rent a car and book dive trips […] in advance. I would recommend renting a car to get around the island. Driving is a little stressful at first (very steep and curvy road and although the cars are American (steering wheel on the left) driving is on the left side of the road. But you get used to it pretty quickly as there isn't a lot of traffic and the island is not very big. Nail Bay has a nice beach with good snorkeling (Mountain Trunk Beach) and is about a 10 minute drive from the spectacular Savannah Bay Beach and about 15 minutes from Spanish Town. I would definitely go back to Nail Bay and I also highly recommend Dive BVI for scuba. Read more

This resort is absolutely lovely! The staff (especially Latha and Kasha in the office) were exceptionally friendly and helpful from the trip's start to the finish. The room (209) was clean, well maintained, super comfortable, and had an amazing view of the ocean and surrounding islands. The grounds are lovely, the restaurant food is good (albeit a slight […] limited menu), and the size of the property means that it could be completely booked and you would still feel like you had the place all to yourself! The beaches are gorgeous and the water was clear. A quick jaunt (via taxi or rented jeep) down the very hilly road and you're in Spanish Town or on your way to The Baths (a MUST-SEE!). Read more

Other than informercials the only TV available was AMC and a Chinese news station. The internet was intermittent at best. That said, if these things don't matter to you (they probably shouldn't when on vacation) then I highly recommend Nail Bay Resort. Great location, great views and scenery, clean comfortable rooms. nuestra idea era encontrar un sitio tanquilo, con buenas playas, agua caliente y buen snorkel y puedo decir que la estancia en Nail Bay ha sido fantástica. la ubicación del hotel es perfecta con unas vistas maravillosas al mar y varias playas estupendas, ideales para snorkel, aun así recomiendo alquilar un vehículo para toda la estancia para recorrer […] la isla y todas las playas y lugares famosos para practicar el snorkel. Estuvimos en una habitación con cocina completa y una maravillosa terraza que incluía barcabacoa, los desayunos y las cenas en esa terraza han sido inolvidables, el personal del hotel encantador y muy eficaz. también probamos el spa y merece la pena. recomiendo tambien visitar un día la isla de Anegada, desde el puerto se accede en ferry, visitas las zonas de flamencos e iguanas, buen buceo y una buenísima langosta para comer. sin duda, si tenmos oportunidad voveríamos, eso si, ir preparados para los mosquitos de la mañana y del atarcedecer.
