"Great value and service"
We went for a girl's trip. It was our first time in Cabo. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean (we got an ocean view room). The pools were nice and not overcrowded. The buffet was good (we didn't even try any restaurants and didn't really feel like we missed out). And the drinks were flowing. Will be back again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It was okay."
I honestly felt like I was on a cruise ship the whole time. The food is similar as well as the service and the clientele. If you like to party, this is your place! We don't, so it was kinda annoying, but it wasn't unbearable. At the pool there is always loud (but good) music and young drunk people, and the entertainment is the staff trying to get people […] involved in dancing and drinking contests, or volleyball games, bingo, etc. The resort is huge. We were in building 7 and there are pros and cons to that. It is close to the beach and has it's own pools, restaurant, bars & concierge, but you still need to go to the front desk quite often, especially if you are leaving the resort, and that is a pretty far walk. The biggest problem I had was that I paid for ocean view and I really couldn't see the ocean unless I leaned pretty far out on my balcony. It was pool view, partial ocean view at best. It was also not easy to get to the rooms on the west side where our room was, because you have to walk through the whole U-shaped building around to that side, and there is no cut through. The free wifi (90 min per day per person, all has to be used at one time) is only in the main lobby. We bought the extra wifi for the rest of the resort and it only worked in our room and it was still spotty. It doesn't really work by the pools or in the restaurants. The food was sub par, but I recommend the a la carte Italian restaurant, as it was the best one we had during our stay. The buffet food was lukewarm but other than that it was alright. I liked the drinks too, they weren't all that bad, but I'm not much of a connesseur when it comes to alcohol. In our room, there were only 2 pillows but we asked for more and they gave us more without a problem. The bed was okay, but I am spoiled at home with an amazing bed. The bed spread is thin, but there is a better blanket in the closet if you like to have something thicker. The air conditioning worked great in the room, especially compared Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fun for all, big and small"
This was a great resort for my family and I. I travelled with my family and a friend. Everyone enjoyed their stay. The pools and restaurants are great. The service was fantastic. The views were breathtaking. We will definitely go back. Tips for travelling: bring bug spray, get a ground floor room if travelling with a stroller (no elevators), use trans […] Cabo transportation to/from the airport, and have fun! The food is horable! The Internet is spotty and they charge for it, so that sucks. This is a party hotel if you want peace and quite do not stay by the pool... The service is great, all the people that work at the hotel are really nice. I would not recommend Cabo in August it is STUPID hot! "Great for Bachelor Parties"
Our bachelor party stayed here and had a great time. Unlimited booze and best of all unlimited Dos XX. There is an adult only pool and you can get food 24hrs a day. I only ate at the buffet, but the fish was excellent and the tacos outside were also good. The rest of the food was OK, but more like hometown buffet. We didnt eat anywhere else, but the […] resort is very friendly to 18-30 somethings trying to party. If you have a family, the Riu Palace is probably a better choice. I wish they had room service, but it was worth the money we paid and the taxis were only $3/person to the night clubs. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not what I expected"
- Got killed with mosquito bites - Location was not the best - A/C was broken when we got there (102F degree weather) - No pool entertainment for adults - Food was below average - Restaurant availability for late dinners was booked a week prior to out arrival. We were not aware we had to make reservations prior to our arrival. - The Gym was horrible […] 40‰ of the equipment was out of order. No free weights that's ridiculous. -late night entertainment was average and geared towards family entertainment. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hot Summer Days"
Just returned from my trip to Cabo w/my sister for her 50th! We had a nice relaxing time and are planning on going back - but not to the Rui. The only reason that I would not go back to the Rui is because of the beach location. Good thing we had a car - because we traveled a into town and used the public beach in front of the Hacienda hotel (close to […] "The Office" and "Mango Deck"). When making a trip to a beach town - enjoying the ocean is our main priority. The view is beautiful from the Rui - but it was like a child having an unlimited supply of candy in front of them - but they would choke if they even ate one piece (drown if you entered). Nothing bad to say about the hotel itself (except the shows were just ok) but the beach location is what is the deal breaker for my next trip to Baja! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great time at Riu Santa Fe"
Overall, it's a nice hotel for the price. It's not a 5-star hotel but you can always find something good to eat or drink. It's not that I have low standards but with all-inclusive you have to keep an open mind. This hotel is pretty big yet it doesn't feel like so crowded. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and work very […] hard. We always dine at the main buffet for breakfast and dinner, and the selection was big. For lunch, we always got the tacos by the main pool. They were very good. We were always by the infinity pool because of the gorgeous view of Land's End. Family friendly; Different activities going on throughout the day. Staff tries to engage everyone. I went there with my husband, and 9 year old and 15 month old daughters. It was fun and relaxing. We were in Bldg 3 so it was convenient to main dining but a 5 minute walk to the infinity pool. We would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good choice within expectations"
Riu Santa Fe is a good all-inclusive hotel for those who may want to stay close to the beach and focus more on relaxing than touring. If you're coming to RSF expecting for everything to be 5 stars, then you're not going to be happy with this choice. If you're coming to RSF acknowledging that its a nice room, nice grounds, nice pools, okay food, good […] bars, etc. then you'll come away pleased. I would suggest pre-arranging your travel to and from the airport. Hotel is located a short $14 taxi ride from downtown Cabo. Great view of the ocean from building 7. Pools, grounds, hotel buildings are all very clean. Wait / towel / service staff were exceptionally friendly - front desk staff could use some additional training. "Ok hotel but it can be better."
It was ok but not great. The buffet food was good but the restaurants were hard to get into. Tried to make reservations and they always said they had no reservations available. They only had one type of beer which was not good. The other alcohol was of very low quality. The hotel is on the beach but was unable to get into the water because the current […] is to strong. I was only able to walk on the sand. I paid extra for an ocean view but it was more like a partial view. I don't think I will be staying at this hotel in the future. Overall experience was ok. We had ocean view. It's gorgeous to wake up to that view. Los Cabos is definitely about leaving the resort and experiencing the town and night life. We engaged in several activities ATVs and Lovers Beach tour and left for downtowns stay every night. All activities are excellent and worthwhile. Staff are friendly... Food could […] be better. Italian restaurant is not the best - the best plate was the Shrimp and/ or salmon. The portions are very small and not very enticing. We ended up going to the Buffet after our dinner because we did not like it. The Mexican restaurant is ok - food could have been better. The staff at the restaurant are very pleasant and cater to your request at all times. We ended up ordering a few appetizers for dinner because we weren't a big fan of the food. My sis ordered the Fajitas which were descent. There were a few staff members that stood out: Adrian, the bartender-very sweet guy and makes excellent drinks. Always ask for his Specials and he works up something yummy (and strong if preferred). Alberto - Receptionist night shift - funny and entertained our craziness. He ensured we were cared for and food was available At the Sports Bar for after hours. The Sporta Bar staff ensured we continued to have drinks, as requested. Staff is great, amenities are ok, food is ok, animation team is ok.... Food could have been better. Drinks were great! Bartenders were awesome. Wish they would have more "Adrians" in the resort. "Staff very helpful and always working hard."
The hotel and room were very clean. The food was varied everyday and the specialty restaurants were also good and they all had great service. The nightly shows were very entertaining. Liked that the hotel had front breach area and that we could walk along the beach to the marina. The only thing was that the pool were closed at 8:00 p.m.Genuine Expedia guest review

Hotel staff was extremely nice and so were the facilities. Bartenders were the best though!! They never let my drink get empty while sitting at the bar. The view is fantastic from the main pool. The view from our room, ehhh, not so much. We had the garden room view and there was no garden! It was all dry and dead. Granted, it could have been the time […] of year we went (June). The beds are terrible!! So uncomfortable it hurt my hips every night. And I'm only 33 years old and have no hip problems. The rooms themselves are really nice though. You have access to the mini bar and bottles of tequila, rum, whiskey, & vodka that are replaced every 2 days if needed. Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with our stay there and we would go back. I only wish I could bring my own mattress! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Location is best"
We agree with every other review about Sante Fe is that you will get an excellent expierence for the amount of money you pay. The food gets the job done for all inclusive and a la carte restraunts are pleasant. The staff are very nice and DESERVE your couple dollars tips everyday! Don't be cheap people, and please leave your self entitlement behind in […] the states. It will be waiting for you when you return! Bring lots of small bills for that in town, your change could come back pesos that u don't want. Getting to town cost can add up so try to get with others 6+ people to make your cab ride 3/person. Eat a good breakfast and you can walk to the Marina along the beach. Avoid bottom level rooms for that there are more mosquitoes!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"The best resort in Cabo"
I heard that Riu resorts brought something different. I have to admit with a full daily program from entertainment, shows, sports, competition and much more... "The riu Santa few Good & Bad:"
Good: Beautiful Resort! Very well maintained resort! Genuinely friendly & hard working staff except for the Check-in personnel (they weren't very geniunely accomodating as all the other resort workers were). Great large pools! Good food "not great". Would go back and refer friends there... If, they are just looking for a resort for relaxing only? Excursions […] are shorter compared to Cancun's excursions for the same money. Example: For $69 US you get Cabo escape cruise incl (drinks, fun activities and a crappy fahita meal - lasts only 2 hrs) where in Cancun you can do something similar for the same price and it lasts about 4 hrs... Incl. Drinks, dancing, stop at island las mujeres for a buffet and variety show plus more drinks. Cancun is better! Bad: Not too many activities at all at this resort - very watered down activities (no effort put into planning at this Riu)... Nightly entertainment was OK. Club Pacha is a joke - its tiny... And no one dances there - they just stand on the dance floor to drink and talk/shout... No Latin music is played!... Just trance and techno!... So if you like salsa, merengue, bachata, etc. - this club is not for you. Too much walking to get to beach area - for most people... And when you get there...it is not swimmable at all due to powerful rip currents. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Spa and staff, except housekeeping,great!"
The spa was excellent! The staff at the spa were exceptional! I did 3 treatments and a french braid. 1. Renova combo****The bomb 2. Mango energizer****A must do 3. Swedish Massage****Fell asleep, so relaxing The hotel staff was very nice and accomadating, except housekeeping! If housekeeping doesn't want to clean your room, they will put "The do not […] disturb" sign up. Which also means no refilling of the beverages. The food was mediocre, we ate out more! Breakfast was great, however lunch and dinner really had no variety. The alcohol was the lowest quality you can image, I mean YUCK! Buy your own in Cabo! The gift shops are a rip off, you can find the same items in Cabo for a lot cheaper! The entertainment was okay, nothing special. The grounds and pool areas were very nice and pleasing! Would not recommend! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Really nice hotel, for the price."
This was a really nice hotel, for what we paid. Family of 4, shared 1 room. Our room was cleaned daily and the sheets were changed every day. The hotel is right on the beach. Everything is included and the staff is amazing! They are genuinely happy to receive tips because it's included in the […] price. The service is great; comparable to the best service I've received in Sacramento, except that it's every time at Riu Santa Fe. This place is incredible. The staff to visitor ratio is extremely high and you can tell they keep this place well kept. The food at the buffets is incredible. Easy walking distance along the beach to the jetskis, etc. and all of the beachfront […] bars.
