"Great location next to the beach"
I was a little skeptical about the all inclusive. There was at least 4 restaurant's for dinner and a great buffet with many choices. There is always somewhere to eat throughout the day at all hours. All the restaurants are free, and all the bars and swim up bars are also free in the hotel. Very well worth my money!Genuine Expedia guest review
I booked for Riu palace and they out me in riu Santa Fe small hotel the towels had a bad smell staff was very nice and polite there's not much parking overal it was ok cabo it's a beautiful placeGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful pool overlooking the ocean"
very nice location and facility. Everyone on the staff was very accomodating. The food was ok but not as good as other RIU facilitiesGenuine Expedia guest review
"once is enough"
The service was ok, but in 4 days that we were there we were never able to get a reservation for the restaurants. seems they were booked for 4 days. too many kids running around. they only had the vert very cheap alcohol. nothing top shelf.. i wont be going back to this place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Really enjoyed our stay! Everyone was great, lot's of food, activities, and a great view!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved it, want to go back, went with my wife for out anniversary and we are already planning to go back with friends, hotel was amazing, the food was great and the staff was superb, I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to have a great time and enjoy a wonderful vacationGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice beach front hotel. Watch out for mosquitoes"
Very clean room but ac seems to be not working sometimes. The staff was great for the most part. However, it was hard to get ahold of the front hotel receptionist. Mosquitoes were biting us when the sun came down. As for food Excellent tacos and coconut ice cream!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel on beach with nice pool"
Had a amazing time, the pools are great and so is atmosphere...food could be better and needs room service! Overall loved it thoughGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good party hotel, bad food"
The hotel was nice. However the food wasn't very good. We went for a bachelorette party so it served the purpose of what we went for, to drink and have a good time, however If I was going to get away I probably wouldn't stay here. When you go on vacation one of the best things is the food, and their food was very disappointingGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel near the beach with average food."
The food could've been better and there were a lot of bugs even some in the room which was discusting. The hotel is nice but the experience could be better.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice resort but horrible food/drinks"
The place was very clean, great location, and the staff was very courteous. I am unable to recommend this hotel to others though because the food was disgusting and the drinks were heavily watered down. Will definitely spend more money next time I decide to do an all-inclusive.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Welcome to Riu Santa Fe."
We hope to return in the future. We were located in unit seven so had immediate access to the pool and the beach. The weather was great and enjoyed activities: swimming with dolphins, parasailing, and sunset cruise. The food and service was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
Friendly stuff, very clean hotel, hotel looks like little hacienda , be ready to walk around the property, cabo san lucas is about 10 min taxi ride $13 for 4 peopleGenuine Expedia guest review
"3rd time here!! Great place!!"

"RIU SANTA FE"
This resort is great. Food...not so good. Ok, it was bad. The service and resort were great though. The bed isn't great but not bad enough to give it a poor review. Had we figured out to take the city bus sooner, we would have saved a lot of money in cabs. The bus is $1.Genuine Expedia guest review
"EXCELLENT HOTEL LAYOUT ON THE BEACH"
GOOD LAYOUT, MANY POOLS TO CHOOSE FROM, ON THE BEACH. FACILITIES WELL KEPT. ROOMS CLEAN AND WELL KEPT. STAFF VERY FREINDLY AND HELPFUL. FOOD VERY GOOD WITH MANY CHOICES AT THE INTERNATIONAL BUFFET, AS WELL AS 4 SPECIALTY RESTRAUNTS. WOULD RECOMEND TO FREINDS AND FAMILY, AND WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN MYSELF.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice ok for the price"
It's a nice hotel if you don't care about the luxury or comfort , the Stander "garden view" it's horrible the view it's dry grass .... The room it's ok but really old tv with no cable and you can hear everything from outside a gross the halls .Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good but won't return"
Everyone was nice the hotel was clean my property was all safe nothing came up missing. My biggest reason for not returning would be when it got extremely Hot your only places to get ac was in your room or in the sports bar which charged for games so my kids constantly begged for money which is not what I wanted to deal with at an all inclusive. The […] beach in front of hotel is always red flagged (dangerous) so you couldn't swim unless you hiked down quite a bit same for getting a water taxi they will not pick up at that hotel waters just to rough. Food could be better but it wasn't bad pretty normal or a lil above norm for an all inclusive Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"All-inclusive Beach Resort"
This is my second time to this specific resort. If I were planning another trip to Cabo, I would definitely be returning to the Riu Santa Fe. The resort itself is very beautiful! Right up against the beach. They had an infinite pool, swim up bars, everything!Genuine Expedia guest review
The arrangement of the hotel is such that noise from the party area cannot be heard from the rooms. The food is delicious, the drinks are abundant. There is entertainment program at the pool area. Great! The Internet access sucks. The coffe is a diluted muddy substance. The ocen is 20 feet deep 10 feet from the shore. Will go there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was great, only complaint is the beds are rock hard! Woke up with a sore back every morning. Asked for extra pillows to use as a cushion, it helped a bit but still had back pain in the morning. Location was great, staff was helpful and wonderful. Good food and good entertainment. Very relaxing.Genuine Expedia guest review

This was a great resort for my family and I. I travelled with my family and a friend. Everyone enjoyed their stay. The pools and restaurants are great. The service was fantastic. Could have ruined Mexico for us if we had not left the resort to go into town. Cabo is a beautiful city!Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is awesome the staff is great and. The food is great Only issue is if you don't get an ocean view you will need to get a bottom because the hotels do not have elevators !! Lots of walkingGenuine Expedia guest review
"Picture perfect hotel."
We had some issues with get the type of room we requested but after being insistent and talking with a manager and Pepe, the PR manager, everything was resolved and they provided additional services at a discount due to the inconvenience. I would go there again any day. We had a ball with the "fun staff". Never a dull moment. We had hilarious water […] aerobics and the staff all got us laughing and bonding with 50 people giving shoulder rubs in a circle. Beach volleyball was a hit with my daughter! Salsa lessons poolside was a blast too. Even the men joined in. The best part was the presence of Mexican nationals staying at the all inclusive too. This made for a wonderful international experience. I had never been to Mexico before. The scenery was spectacular at the beach. Scuba diving service at the hotel and training was fantastic. The guides, Maria and Juan Carlos were kind, professional and very safe. This was important to me as a lifeguard myself. We can't wait to visit again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

My overall experience was just ok. I was not impressed with the storage or taste of the food. I thought mixed drinks were watered down. The pools were hot and not refreshing. "Ok won't return"
We had booked 3 rooms to take our adult children to this resort - originally when I booked with expedia I could only book garden view rooms and so once confirmed I emailed the hotel directly and asked about upgrading. I was given the amounts for both ocean view a suites. I advised them I wanted to pay for the upgrades ( this was 2 monthes prior) and […] they said not to worry about it until we got there. When we arrived we were told they were booked and not doing upgrades. I presented the email and basically got a "sorry" and that was the end of it. The grounds were pretty and the rooms clean. The food was all Buffett even at the specialty restaurants. Not impressive at all. The alcohol is all mediocre as well. We were tired of the selections after the 2nd day. All and all we had a good time but it had nothing to do with the staff or the service at this resort as it was a 2 at best. We won't be back. We went to the ME cancun in March 2014- WONDERFUL PLACE - that is where we will be returning.... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great location and wonderful service. Only real complaint is when we got in we tried to make reservations for the restaurants and they were completely book for the first two nights we were there. "You Get What You Pay For"
Hotel describes the beds as Queen size. The room we expected and what we had paid for was two Queen beds. In reality, the beds they gave us were two double beds pushed together. The beds were very hard. For those who like hard beds it would not be a problem For us, it was very uncomfortable. When I discussed this issue with the hotel staff, I was advised […] that in Mexico, doubles are Queens. Thus, our only other choice was one King bed. Because we had our 11 and 13 year old children with us, that was not an acceptable accommodation; plus, I had to assume that the King size bed was really only a Queen. The food in the buffet restaurant was on the mediocre side. However, each of the four specialty restaurants, Mexican, Asian, Italian and Steakhouse, were quite good. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The only issue that occurred with the staff was that on one evening, the bar staff elected to serve the hotel manager coffee while making the paying quests who were there first wait. When I pointed out that problem, the manager strenuously apologized. Otherwise, the shows were mostly good and entertaining. The pools were very good and the pool staff, especially Daniel, were great. We spent 10 days at this resort. We overall had a good time. If I return to Cabo, it will be for a shorter visit at a more upscale resort. Because we were staying for 10 days, this resort was within the budget; and thus, we found the saying is true; "You get what you pay for". Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
best thing was hotel staff they made an effort to be helpful and friendly. the adult pool was full of kids with inner tubes, balls and inflatable rafts when the signage clearly says none of the above..it was not enforced... the food was plus average. i think next time i will go to the sister resort next door the riu palace.Genuine Expedia guest review
didn't like the dark brown towels, dark brown comforters, smelly pillows, no room service, had to keep up with a key card to exchange for daily pools towels,Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel terrible food"
The hotel was nice and spacious. However it didn't have that vacation feel with music playing in the walkways or by the pool, which is something that I have seen done at several other places. It was very quiet with no ambiance anywhere. Overall the pool by the ocean was very nice, however, the fact that you couldn't swim in the ocean out in front of […] the hotel and had to walk about a quarter of a mile down the beach in the sand before you could even go into the ocean was very disappointing. Made it twice as hard to just enjoy the ocean. And the food at the hotel in every place we ate was absolutely terrible. It was always cold never hot, chips were stale and guacamole didn't taste like the guacamole I've had in other parts of mexico. The fine dining wasn't really fine dining at all. We never had a hot meal once. Breakfast buffet was equally as terrible, nothing tasted fresh or of any kind of quality. I had read some of the reviews and thought people were being a little critical. However, experiencing it first hand made me realize that I should have paid attention to the reviews. I don't consider this a 5 star more like a 3 star and wouldn't recommend it on the food alone if you are paying so much to have it all included. Our best meals were the three meals we had downtown. I have a very nice experience for a budget hotel. Very nice hotel, pretty good condition. Staff were very friendly, about 5 minutes walk to beach. Only reason I didnt give it a 5 stars is because the food is not up to par.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Worst "resort" I've ever stayed at"
I've had my share of all inclusive resorts, and while the food might not be 5 stars- it's somewhat still enjoyable. Not at Riu Santa Fe. It was not only terrible, but there was always flies lingering around the food. But in all honesty, the food was the least of my worries. Drinks were terrible, but I guess when it's all inclusive you should expect […] that. If you plan on using wifi at all- this is not the hotel to stay at. I paid for wifi in the room during our stay. The first day I was on the phone being transferred around from operator, reception, headquarters, management... With no answer on how to fix wifi. This took about 2hrs, including the time I went to the front desk to get a code that did not work. I gave up and had to go to the Internet cafe and let work know there was no way I would ever check emails at this hotel. Oh and if you are trying to use the free wifi, you have to wait in the same line for checking in at the front desk and get the famous code. The staff of this hotel needs to be retrained on basic facts about the hotel. Depending on who you asked you got a completely different answer. For example, I asked for the nearest house phone at the pool. The bartender directed me to the main lobby- which is very far. The towel guys said that the bars had a house phone. I finally stopped a cleaning lady and she said there was a house phone 3 feet away. When I got to the house phone, on lobby 7, he guy refused to let me use the phone that was unattended Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and big property with access to the beach!"
Nice hotel front desk staff needs additional training and smile more. The rooms are nice but did not like the fact that my room did not have a tub (handicap room) and when we showered there was water all over! Other than that our stay was good. The food is delicious, the hotel was super clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Horrific, like Vegas in Mexico."
Checked in and checked out in less than 90 minutes. Full of drunk people on Bucks weekends. We had to move half a dozen empty glasses out the way so we could get to the check in desk. Truly a hideous place.Genuine Expedia guest review
The food is horable! The Internet is spotty and they charge for it, so that sucks. This is a party hotel if you want peace and quite do not stay by the pool...
