"New Year's Eve getaway"
Arrived from Florida for wife's birthday which also happens to be New Year's Eve. Room was great but had not been cleaned from previous occupant ( this was 12:30 AM in the morning!). Management was exceptional in getting us moved into another room and comped us $75 credit for use in the hotel. The concierge and night manager came to check on our new […] room within minutes of us getting inside the door. The rest of the stay went great. The Palazzo is directly connected to the Venitian so getting out to the "Strip" is very convenient. The Rock of Ages Broad Way musical production is a must see. Get the Grazzie card as it saves 30% on show tickets and offers some other discounts such as dining. We arrived to our hotel in the later evening to check-in. Since it was a busy time for the hotel we were placed in a smaller room than what we booked (an accessible room where the shower and tub are attached and not separate). I didn't realize I wasn't guaranteed the standard "suite" room upon check-in. Later that night when we crawled into bed, the […] sheets were dirty! There were a couple stains and hairs all over the bed sheet and pillows. The glasses in our room had also been used. We were told other rooms were unavailable to switch until the next day (though online was still showing rooms available), so they came to change the sheets and we moved for the second night of our stay. We selected the Palazzo for the Winter in Venice at Christmas time. We met our family there for a holiday. The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained. Every staff member we encountered were super friendly and helpful. The Grand Lux restaurant near the guest room entrance is really good. There are a few negatives. We had reserved a king bedroom […] and had to take a double queen handicapped room, which made the lighting and amenities at the wrong height for us. I was unable to put on my makeup in the restroom area. The lighting was really dark. They suggested we take a room at the Venetian for 45.00 more per night. We had booked this hotel so our families could be in the same hotel. The other negative, there is a 25.00 fee if you open the refrigerator door. I over heard this from a complaining guest..so I would have been charged for my curiosity or for placing my milk in it. Apparently there are products in the refrigerator..I wouldn't know since I didn't want to be charged for checking it out. I would rather have spent that 25.00 in the casino. Also, there is a mandatory 28.00 amenities fee per day. I also would prefer to spend that in one of their restaurants or in the casino. If I use the amenities I would be glad to pay for them. Be ready to pay for more than just the rate you find published on the internet. They charge you for gym facility that you would not even aware of. For a hotel that cost more than $300/night you don't even get complimentary drinking bottled water in your room. And, even to ask for a kettle to boil hot water you would be charged $5 for sending someone […] to deliver it to your room. "Nice and clean suite room"
Palazzo is nice and new hotel in Las Vegas trip. This is the second year we stayed there. The hotel has been upkept very well. We got the Bella View suite, a 720 sq ft suite with 2 queens and a sofa bed. Everything was perfect and awesome! terrible tv reception. very very small tv for the living area. large tv in bedroom but both terrible reception almost un watchable. only tv in bathroom was clear. was told by maintenance person "that's the way it is here cant fix it. asked front desk to remove rack of candy and water blocking living room tv. was told if they remove it i will be charged. […] but they are going to do me a big favor and NOT charge me. lucky me Hugh!! batteries in both remotes did not work. went to front desk again and told them i want this fixed while im out in a couple of hours. when i returned i asked the same person how it was going. was told the work was done but i still may find them in my room finishing up. no one had been in my room, nothing was fixed. so back down to the front desk where i gave the manager a piece of my mind and told him i dont like being lied to.i had now been at the hotel 4 hours and was still dealing with this . when i got back there was a message for me blinking on the phone. could not retrieve message. called front desk and was put on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on. called concierge same thing put on hold and then hung up on. finally after 30 minutes. got message that said we cant enter your room. finally the batteries were replaced. candy & water removed. went down to gamble and use the free gaming card i was given at check in.was told it had 12$ dollars on it. there was nothing on the card. spent rest of my birthday weekend visiting other places. When u pay so much for a suite, u expect so much, which I didn't in the palazzo. I have paid also the resort fee $28 that includes internet. By sons had their play station which we couldn't connect to any of the 2 LG TV in the suite, as both TV don't have HDMI plug !!! And when calling the hotel for support, they wanted to charge me additional $25/night, […] to use the HDMI port in the TV.. Which is absolutely makes no sense. Overall, the Palazzo is a nice property, well appointed rooms, and comfortable. Request a suite with a view of the strip and mountains. Unfortunately, we were not well informed by Expedia, and or the hotel staff of all available amenities and services at the time the reservation was made and at check-in. A shuttle service provided by the hotel from […] the airport is available, however, not knowing there was shuttle service we took a cab at twice the cost of the shuttle. Upon check in, we received a players card "Grazie". We were not told of the cards benefits including travel to the airport via the hotel shuttle. . We were also not told that the Concierge would print your boarding passes at no charge. Had to pay for using the computer located in the lobby to print our boarding passes. I do give the Concierge high marks for their recommendations of shows and dining options. We had a wonderful massage at the Canyon Spa. When settling the bill with the spa we were asked if we received a coupon that guests receive at check-in. We never received the coupon, and when I inquired at the front desk I was told that the coupon should have been included with our check-in packet. It wasn't.
