Overall the stay at Tamani was very nice. We only stayed one night, since we live in Abu Dhabi and were just visiting Dubai for some family fun (me, spouse, the nanny, and 2 kids) at Atlantis and other places in the area. The room was very spacious, and I wasn't expecting to see a maid's room and bathroom as well as the very large kitchen and living […] areas. If I had a large family it would have been a great set up. However, the finish of the suite felt a little sloppy with the very bare minimum in the maid's room (which we didn't use) as well as very basic utensils in the kitchen. Also knowing the suite could accommodate quite a few people it was surprising to find just 3 towels total between the 3 bathrooms (this is why the service got a 4). Other than that the service and amenities that we used were great. The pool area is nice and the valet service was good as well. I would stay here again but not for the price they typically ask. It would have to be at a large discount, or I would stay with a large group and split the cost of the suite with them. Read more

The service was great the room was great, grocery store close by to stock the refrigerator, bed was very comfortable, everything was great. I have stayed in Dubai a few time traveling and this was definitely the best place I have stayed at yet for the price. I will defiantly stay there again next time I am in Dubai.

The room was very small, the shower the smallest i have ever seen and the room was on an outside wall facing construction. Traffic noise woke me at 3am. Internet wasn't included and cost $25/day. I have been travelling to Dubai for the past 15 years and have stayed in numerous hotels of every kind. The Tamani hotel is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, but I hardly rate it a 3 star My one week stay there with family was a disaster ! There is one staff for recieption answering 100 rooms. 5 or 6 in the morning due to the composit structure of the […] hotel , when the sun rises, there are loud crushing noises of the windows , etc. to wake you up. The ungoing road construction has blocked the main entrance and the narrow pathway is very inadequate for getting in and out of the hotel. They told me this road construction has been going on for 5 years. ! The housekeeping , .... phones, never answer due to the short-staffed problem. The door key cards didn't work most the time and had to ask the cleaners to help us open the door. The rooms we booked and they insist is sea view is not so, and they don't accept that the city view is not the sea view ! Worst of all, the small swimming pool of the hotel is rented to a swimming school for babies and you have to dip in water along with many babies held by their teachers. The price of breakfast and internet services are much more than other hotels. The indian manager told us once we made complaints, that he has no authority. Usualy the Sheiks who own these hotels , do not care about the return of customers, and this is reflected in the treatment the guests recieve, which is specialy offending to the US visitors. The room they gave me at first was extremely smelly and tiny (the sink was 80 cm from the bed) ... then I complained and they changed it. Business meetings there was a disaster: a/c was not on, so were the lights, cheap carpets, I had to drag people to make things ready, the result: I started my conference 15 minutes late!!

well, i came in the hotel about 5 AM on morning of dec 24th. the female clerk at the counter, asked me to deposit 300.00 of emirates dirhams, claiming there is mini-bar in the reserved room ( i found laer that this bar contained simply some soda cans, 2-3 candy bars,few bottles of water and beer). the clerk told me there would be breakfast buffett from […] 6-11 AM. later i been charged ED 86.00 for that breakfast..And thee was only one towel, just hanged on the bar in the bathroom. I know u donot beleive me, but only one towel in scrumbled condition in the bathrroom . on checking out, they returned the difference of ED 214.00. I chose that hotel coz i thoght it is close to the water which it would give me spectacular view of the whole city, at the top of its tower. i found out the hotel, is not nearby or close in any way to the water, plus the hotel adminstration refuses any access above the level of my stay at 3rd floor. this hotel is a joke and any beach is wayfar trom its location. I stayed here for three nights during my fall break vacation in Dubai. I was immediately impressed by the lobby and the friendliness of the staff. Check in was quick and painless and I was soon off to my room. I stayed in one of the studios on the third floor. I read terrible reviews of these studios after I booked my stay and became quite nervous, […] however my fears were pleasantly alleviated. The room had a large and comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, a wall-mounted flat screen TV, a little kitchenette, a well-stocked minibar, a large wardrobe built into the wall and had some nice decorations.There were a lot of TV channels as well which was nice after those exhausting days of exploring Dubai. All of the maintenance people greeted my very politely and in a friendly manner. Doors were always opened for me and someone was always offering to help me carry something. Sure made me feel like a king if only for a few days. My only significant complaint was the price of internet; which was 60 Dirhams (about 20 Dollars) per 6 hours, and it expired after 24 hours and you'd have to buy 6 more hours even if you only used less than 6 from the previous purchase. "No internet rollover." I stayed at a hotel in Moscow in the days leading up to this trip that provided free internet so Tamani should take a lesson from them.
