What a find! A very clean and comfortable hotel in downtown Krakow. Large and modern rooms. Service was wonderful - their manager was outstanding.. Free Internet in the rooms and in the lobby. Around the corner from a terrific Polish restaurant, which the hotel recommended. Staff is excellent and attentive. The rooms are clean, have character and baths are up to date. Quiet location. Trams right out front take you to the train station or you can walk in 20-25 mins. Walk to old Krakow in 15 mins. Breakfast is satisfying. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Small boutique hotel, excellent. The front desk staff was extremely nice and friendly, and also helped us get tickets to a concert. The rooms were clean and well maintained. I recently spent a week at the Columbus Hotel in Krakow, and I was delighted w/everything about it. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Rynek Główny, which is the main market square and the center of most of the sights in the city. We loved the location! It is in an older area but this was what we liked - it gave it class. It sort of felt like you were "back in time". Everything was convenient - an ATM was directly across the street, stores, bakeries,an ice cream stand that always had a line, the river were nearby. Many unique restaurants (such as U Doroty, Polakowski and Hotel […] Ester) were within walking distance of the hotel. We could easily walk to Kazimierz and Old Town or take the tram. The front desk was very friendly and extremely helpful with giving directions, suggestions and arranging for tours. The breakfast and the breakfast room were consistently good. The rooms were plenty big and very clean. There was a computer for guest use just of the reception area. If there would be one thing that I would suggest, it would be to have luggage racks in the room. We tend to "live out of our suitcases " when traveling. I don't think that I have said anything new that the past reviewers have noted but we were extremely pleased with our stay. We would definitely stay here again if in Krakow! Read more

When drove up to hotel thought it was not a great neighborhood, but it is in a nice location that is about a 10 minute walk from Old Town and right next to the Jewish Quarter which has some good restaurants and a hopping night time bar/club scene it seems. The street it is on could use some upgrading, but I think as Krakow develops more it will be renovated. […] Hotel was quiet and room was nice size. Decent breakfast included and staff was mostly friendly. Manager gave great restaurant recommendations. They were having issues with Wi-Fi and I didnt have it in my room, but a traveling companion did have it in his. Hotel arranged excurions to Auschwitz and Salt Mines for us. I had an excellent stay at the Columbus. The staff was great; the breakfast was impressive; and the cleanliness was superb. I would not hesitate to stay there again, but I would be sure to request a room not facing the street because of the tram noise. Again, excellent staff!

We stayed for 3 nights at the Columbus and were very comfortable there. We noted the remarks beforehand regarding the noisy street with the trams and we did end up with a room facing the street. The noise could be quite disturbing to some people but we just closed our window and turned on the air-con and soon went to sleep. I think next time I would […] ask for a room at the back. The staff were very polite and helpful and answered all our questions. It was handy for restaurants nearby but it was only a 15 mins walk to the Old Town. Friendly and helpful staff. No restaurant available in the evening but excellent recommendation to very local restaurant that serves delicious food. The Columbus is a very nice hotel located fairly close to Market Square, but is in the Kazimierz area which is fairly quiet but is blessed with many fine restaurants and nice bars. The staff are nice and very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. A very good hotel which I would be happy to return to in the future.

Fantastic value for money. Friendly staff, spotless room and comfortable bed. There was an excellent choice for breakfast and the minibar in the room was the cheapest I've ever seen. It's only a 10 minute walk to the old town and there's some superb bars and restaurants behind the hotel in the Jewish Quarter. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel columbus was everything you would like from a hotel without the big price tag. It was warm, welcoming, comfortable and conveniently located on the tram line, right in the Jewish quarter of Krakow, or just a 15 minute walk into the main square.

The Columbus Hotel is one of the best choices for lodging in Krakow, a 3 star hotel offering clean comfortable rooms, an excellent location with a tram stop 10 steps from the door, along with concierge services from a wonderful staff. The breakfast offerings were nicely presented and the coffee very good. A left turn out the door and a 15 minute walk […] and we were in the middle of one of Europe's great squares. A right turn and 2 minutes later we were in the interesting Jewish section of Krakow with many good restaurants to choose from. Ask the hotel staff and they will point out the places where the locals go. Our six days in Krakow could not be beat. Read more

It's convenient for walking to the Old Town and the Kazimierz district is just round the corner with lots of restaurants and bars. Ideal location, close to Jewish Quarter and 15 minute walk to Market Square. Lovely comfortable hotel, very comfortable beds, great bathroom. Best of all though were the staff.
