Overall the hotel was a good stay however, hotel room lacked what other 5 star hotel included in their rooms such as coffee and tea bar but water was complimentary and was given in bulks so that wasn't an issue. Enjoyed the stay. Thank you.

The first time I went to the Monarch I was impressed and thought I had finally found the hotel to stay at for my frequent trips to Dubai-but I was extremely disappointed with my second stay that I will never return to the Monarch. The check in process took over 45 minutes and while waiting I counted over 49 hookers/escorts which was concerning. When […] I got to my room, there was a huge stain on the sofa and several stains on the floor. The next day when I returned to my room, housekeeping had only changed the towels...they did not clean the toilet or sinks. But wait, there's more!!! On the day that I was checking out, while I was in the shower, a hotel man came to the door and took out all of the alcohol from the minibar. I quickly rushed to get dressed and to proceed with checking out so that I could talk with the manager. Whe I got downstairs and requested to talk with the manager, I was told NO as a VIP was at the hotel. Considering the cost of this hotel, you might want to reconsider a different hotel. Read more

This staff at this hotel is extremely impolite and don't know how to treat guests. The layout of the rooms is terrible and very uncomfortable. The hotels clains to be a 5-star but really shouldn't be given a grade more than 3-star. I booked this hotel for a guest, he was very unhappy with the service and said he did not sleep as there was construction work being done outside his hotel window. He complained to the Duty Manager but nothing was done. He would not recommend to anyone to stay here if the construction work is still ongoing

Was able to book this hotel on a busy weekend when almost all top hotels in dubai was fully occupied. Pricing was attractive and was checked into a large room with a nice view of the town. Room had modern facilities such a flat screen tv, english channels, etc. Later had a wonderful steak dinner at the restaurant. Sadly I said only 1 night

Very elegant room with bug bathroom. Upon entering room, there was a cake on the table for us which im not sure if its given to every room or just because it is our honeymoon which we mentioned during our booking. But overall we are happy staying at this hotel. Will stay here again.

The hotel has good facilities but lacks staff to cater to guests need in terms of house keeping.As this a conveniently located hotel for business stays, the internet facilities were very poor in terms of the price being charged. In a business hotel usually I was expecting Internet to be included in the room price with High speed connectivity.

An excellent 5 star hotel which is beautiful. The rooms are always clean and it's convenient only 7 minutes walk to the metro station. The staff are so friendly and in the afternoon they knock on your door just incase your room is missing anything. I loved the hotel it's SO nice and romantic. I strongly recommend it.

The Fairmont hotel, 200m along the road is better in many ways- eating options, access to metro, proximity to shops, less noise from construction. The Monarch was nice, but there are better for the money. The location is good if your at the convention centre, or want to be inbetween the old (bur […] Dubai) and the new (Marina and Burj al Arab). I had asked for a non smoking room and found the suite I was given had not been properly cleaned and had a cigarette packet sitting on a cupboard in the lounge room. My three night experience was marred only by noisy neighbours revelling until 5am! Two nights in a row. Not the hotel's fault. Breakfast was included in my tarriff and was amongst the best I've had with made to order omelettes available alongside the extensive and diverse offerings.
