Tropical Inn Resort - Palm Bay

I was sort of worried at first because the price was low. The rooms were clean, even the tub! The view was great, the air worked fantastic! There isn't a lot of choice in vending machines, but Pizza Hut delivers so I was happy! Great Place!

the only disappointment here was that i had asked expedia when i booked the hotel for a ocean front hotel as this was to be my romanitc night on the beach with my husband. instead the hotel was close the indian river and not the ocean and had no access to the water at all.

This is not a "resort", it is more of a motel. It is located ON the highway so if you get an east side room you will hear motorcycles and semi trucks all night. The "king" bed was more the size of a queen and it was very hard. Towels are rough and scratchy. The room was very clean and smelled good though. Whoever said there was a free dinner, please note this is only for long term guests, and the bar next door is closed so you have to drive to get dinner. We reserved a King and were given a two double beds. The air conditioner did not cool the room down and was extremely loud. The hotel food was terrible. We checked out after the first day due to the hotel conditons and a death in the family.

Clean rooms and property. Freshly painted and some recent upgrades made this hotel more appealing. The pillows on the beds were lumpy like they had been washed and were not made for washing.(However, I'll take a clean pillow with lumps any day over the alternative). The "continental breakfast" was only some mini donuts and coffee, but whatever(continental breakfast is really stretched with their definition). Great value for the area - room badly needs updating but appears they are working on it. I was not impress at all, because it is the Days Inn that they just redo. So to me nothing special and definitly not close to the beach- close to water but that is just the intercoastal. The room and bathroom was clean, but that is about it.
