This is a great place. The people were nice and very accommodating. Great location to Vatican and the metro so you can be anywhere in minutes.

The hotel is a funky hotel, nice decor but we had to lug our suit cases up a flight, to then take the elevator, which is stupid. The bed was terrible. The location is Ideal for the vatican and catching the bus. You get what you pay for.

It would be hard to find a better location for the price. Excellent food at the top of the hotel with a nice view of the Vatican. Employees very accomodating and helpful with excursions and setting up an itinerary. We took a tour of the Vatican and the bus picked us up right in front of the hotel. The hotel is not a 5 star hotel but it staff is always ready to answer your questions and to assist you. While used to European standards, I had wrongly assumed that a three-person room in a 4+ star hotel would be appropriately sized and that the extra bed would not fill up the available floorspace. The Orange Hotel was everything it said it would be. Great location within spitting distance of the vatican. Near bus stops and the metro on a main road which leads you to the other side of town. The Orange Hotel is situated very close to the Vatican and at the end of a rated shopping street. The rooms were clean, although small by American hotel standards, and contained everything needed. The reception staff were very good and helped out when we had a problem verifying our transport back to the airport at the end of our stay. Well we were disappointed from the get go.... Expedia personnel told us we had breakfast included with the price we paid...!! Hotel Jolanda said with that price there was no breakfast...and blamed Expedia !! All though we new that internet was chargeable ...when we bought the 8euro package they recommended they did not advise us that you can only use […] that for one device??!! Until we needed to use it again and noticed it did not work so we needed to buy more internet service for anyother device we wanted to use? that was sneaky ... definitely poor customer service... The safe was not working in the room...and had to call front dest at least 3 different times to find out where the chap was that was suppose to be there immediately!!! So the young lady at the front desk came and set it up....originally the story was we are going to change it it's broken....We were not very pleased with this Hotel Orange at all!!! Read more

The location is incredible. Less than 5 minutes walk to Vatican City. The hotel is beautiful. The hotel is so modern. There is a roof terrace with wonderful views. The rooms are so clean and the beds are so comfortable. I loved the electric blinds ensuring the room was completely dark at night. The air conditioning was a dream. The shower was very powerful. […] We had late nights walking around Rome and so we wanted to have a sleep in. We put the do not disturb sign on the door and the maids left us in peace and returned later in the afternoon ensuring our room was beautiful for our return. The staff were incredibly friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The two Sisters who run the roof-top restaurant were wonderful. There are many small details they have perfected such as in the lift there is a summary of the weather for the next few days. If you only want a drink in the roof-top restaurant you receive bruschetta for no cost. The free cleansing pads, cotton buds, nail file and hair bobble in a sealed pack in the bathroom for every visitor. The sweets by the bed. Even the lamp in the bedroom is a design of the Collosseum. This was a birthday present for my husband. He is 33 years of age. I wanted something modern, romantic, friendly in a great location. Every box was ticked. If I had to give any tips for future it would be for 2 room cards, only 1 proved to be difficult. Would have liked to have sat on the roof-terrace in the sun, the area only opens at 6.30pm. We found the hotel an excellent base for sightseeing only 2 mins from The Vatican yet quiet at night The Metro is also only mins away. The staff were very helpful and friendly but not intrusive and the maid service was excellent clean towels on a daily basis. We would definitely stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending it.

The reviews of this hotel had been a little mixed, but we wanted to stay somewhere that was conveniently located, without the need for much in the way of public transport. Any concerns I had, proved to be unfounded. I have visited Rome before, but this was by far the most pleasant stay I have had. The staff were welcoming, the interior decoration modern […] and interesting and the views from the roof terrace (of St Peter's and the Vatican) were lovely. Our room was a little small, but comfortable and the bathroom included a spa bath, an unexpected addition. Being on a busy road, the hotel is loud, but we found that a small price to pay for the location. Most sites are walkable, although we did opt for the bus (which stops just at the end of the street), when visiting the Colosseum. Me and my partner stayed in the Orange hotel for 3 nights. We are a young couple and due to this were constantly looked down upon and patronised by the staff in the hotel. We found some members of the staff very rude especially the breakfast hostess. The room itself was good with a big, comfortable bed and air conditioning, however during the whole […] stay we were never given the bath robes we were told were provided with the room and the toilet seat was broken so you couldn't even sit on it properly. There was inadequate space for toiletries in the bathroom and there wasn't even a decent sized mirror in the room so you could get ready, but the room was very clean. The worst part of the stay was that we were told about a whirpool tub on the sun terrace of the hotel, we decided to use it and booked it for 5pm that night. At 5pm we were told it wasn't ready and had to wait an hour until it was and then when we got there it wasn't even on so it was just like a bath on top of the roof, however the views were amazing especially of St Peter's. At the end of out stay we were then told the 45 minutes we spent in the whirlpool cost 20 euros even though we weren't told by any member of staff that it cost money and it came across as if it didn't cost anything. Very Friendly and helpful staff, very approachable. The rooms are cleaned daily. Breakfast available in the morning is self service and is enough to keep you going for most of the day. Only a short walk (2mins) to Vatican Museums, San Pietro and Castel Sant' Angelo. Maps are available for free at desk which made wondering around Rome easier. It was […] even possible to walk to the Colosseum from the hotel, which took just under an hour passing through other beautiful scenes. There is a tourist bus rank down the road from the hotel. So its really easy to get on a tour of Rome and for a reasonable price. Most tours are hop on hop off which again is great because you can get up close to take pictures. We stayed in the hotel for a week and managed to cover the majority of Rome in that time. Overall it was a brilliant holiday and a great experience. I would use this hotel again and recommend it to anybody that was visiting Rome. Great location for sightseeing tourists. Read more

Great little hotel, room was clean and comfortable. Although there was a tv in the room it could of benefitted from satelite so we could of understood some channels and also a kettle in the room would of been great. Excellent location, never a 4 star hotel, mid range 3 star at best. Staff on the whole friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast quite good. My only complaint which did actually affect our experience of the whole trip was that no English Speaking TV channels on TV were available. Over 1000 channels supposedly available on a free view, […] I found 1 music channel ( which obviously had lots of British/ US artists) and one Russian documentary channel which was dubbed in English. My point is after a very tiring day of sight seeing it would have been good to be able to at least watch the news channels in English. I was very disappointed with lack of TV channels. Das Hotel kann man durchaus empfehlen. Es liegt sehr günstig, ca. 300 m vom Vatikan entfernt. Eine Metrostation ist gleich in der Nähe. Es waren einige Mängel vorhanden, wie z. B. bei Ankunft kein Licht im Bad, wurde ein Tag später repariert. Tresor defekt. Der Tresor wurde trotz Hinweis nicht in Ordnung gebracht. Die einzige Servicedame beim Frühstück […] war sehr unfreundlich und genervt, was sie den Gästen auch spüren ließ. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet. Es fehlen aber Ablagen für Kleidung. Godt hotel med glimrene morgenmad forhold på hotellets tagterasse. Gør sig godt i solskin. Temaet i hotellets navn går hele vejen igennem hotellets indretning og det er et frisk pust. Værelset var moderne indrettet med gode senge (dog var den opredte seng en smule hård til det ene barn). Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage wenn da nicht die einfachverglasten Fenster wären. Diese sind sehr schlecht, da man durch die Lage an der Via Creszenzio mit sehr viel Verkehr rechnen muß! Im Bad unseres Zimmers war der Duschschlauch defekt, das wir auch reklamierten, jedoch brachten sie es nicht fertig diesen zu reparieren. Ebenso funktionierte der Zimmersafe […] nicht. Das Frühstück war sehr sperrlich und man mußte sich erstmal alles selber herrichten!! Die Servicedame war obendrein auch sehr langsam und unfreundlich!! Schon bei der Ankunft fingen die ersten Schwierigkeiten an: mangelnde Englischkenntnisse des Personals machten die Verständigung fast unmöglich, obwohl das Orange als internationales Hotel wirbt. Mit Mühe und Not gab uns die Dame an der Rezeption zu verstehen, dass wir angeblich kein Frühstück mit gebucht hätten (obwohl wir extra das Angebot zum höherem […] Preis mit Frühstück inklusive gebucht hatten; von einem ähnlichen Fall hatten wir aber auch schon in einer früheren Bewertung gelesen). Frustriert davon konnte uns leider auch nicht unser angebliches Deluxe-Doppelzimmer aufmuntern: in den Raum passten lediglich das Bett, sowie ein kleiner Schreibtisch und in das Bad größentechnisch immer nur eine Person. Das Zimmer hatte eine Verbindungstür zum Zimmer nebenan, durch das wir beinahe live an den Streiterein des Pärchens nebenan teilnehmen konnten. Doch noch nicht genug: leider lagen überall auf dem Boden und auch den Möbeln verschiedenste Haare, die nicht nur von der Reinigunskraft stammen konnten. Das Frühstück haben wir dann am ersten Morgen extra dazugebucht, dieses können wir aber abgesehen vom Ausblick von der Dachterasse aus auch für den Preis von lediglich fünf Euro nicht weiterempfehlen. Positiv hervorzuheben sind lediglich die wirklich tolle Lage zur Vatikanstadt, sowie die Klimaanlage im ganzen Haus. Dieses Hotel können wir also definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen! Read more
