The hotel was remote from tourist attractions and most restuarants. Nothing was in walking distance. It appeared the hotel was a local (tourist) favorite, but most other occupants had cars, so the hotel was mostly convenient for in-country tourists. This is one of the rare cases the reviews just didn't add up to the quality of the hotel. Perhaps mine was a rare experience, but the bathroom was in bad shape (broken glass shower doors, sealing peeling off the shower doors, cracks in ceiling, leaking bidet shower head)... internet speed - SLOW... movies to rent - 3 (2 only in Italian and the 3rd released […] 2 years ago)... parking was hard to find... the location is not the best, and a drive from the Pisa attractions. The restaurant service was incredibly slow, to the point one gentleman was shouting for the manager at the front desk because he had not received his meal (he had a 2 year old and wife with him) after waiting for 2 hours... Modern, European style hotel, no pool on site, close to transportation, tried to charge for mini bar use when ther was no mini bar use, has good access to Internet, but not in the room. Being energy efficient one corner of room was hot, and could not run a/c when not in room.

Close to the airport, but nothing around really. A 10 minute bus ride to Pisa downtown. Staff is nice but the free shuttle to the airport has to be pre-booked. So when we called from the airport they could not pick us up and we had to take a taxi. On the way back the next day they gave us a free ride in the morning. There was a big stain on the floor right outside of our room (kinda like post-vomit) but otherwise the hotel is clean. King bed was huge and comfortable. Extremely helpful staff and shuttle from Pisa Centrale was perfect. We called when we arrived at the station and we were picked up within 15 minutes. Room was clean, comfortable, very modern, and quiet; restaurant was very good. Beautiful hotel at a great price when our family of five went. Rooms were new, clean and spacious and we had a connecting room with the kids and a shower in each room. Only down sides to this hotel were: 1) the TV (couldn't get it to work no matter how hard we tried or read the manual...appears you may need to pay for TV...someone else or the hotel […] can confirm this) and, 2) the grouchy young lady who worked the desk. She asked who would be staying in each room...at first suggesting the girls stay with me and our son with mom. I jokingly said, in my so-so italian, kids could sleep on the floor, she didn't appreciate the joke one bit asking my wife and I to pick names. We look at each other wondering why it even mattered and the young lady snapped at us and literally tore the room key cards from my wife's hand. Her male co-worker, a very nice young man, saw how rudely she was behaving and stepped in to help a bit. My wife and I remained calm the entire time, but talked about it after and couldn't believe this young girl thru a little tantrum (worse than what we deal with..with or own kids who are a bit younger than her). Additionally, nobody mentioned anything about the complimentary breakfast nor about how to work the TV. We would have given them a 1 for service had it not been for the nice gentleman co-worker of hers. Please note, we're not whiny, needy, complaining types - on the contrary, very easy to please us. But we definitely recognize bad service when we get it. Not sure if we'd come back here or not, specifically because of the bad service, but it is a beautiful hotel with very nice rooms. We only stayed here one night so it didn't bother us being outside the city. There is a bus 2 blocks from the hotel that runs every 10 mins to downtown Pisa. We loved the breakfast! There were a number of north african immigrants around the area, selling goods to hospital visitors. This might be off putting for some people at night. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good quality for 4* hotel.The maintenance of hotel was not good. The bathroom - shower was not clean. hotel is located in a nice location around 10min by car from centre. on arrival even that we came around 12pm and normally rooms are ready by 1400 we were given the keys by nice reception staff. breakfast ok, nothing special, only dissapointing thing was that my wife shirt went missing after 1st room cleaning, we tried to speak to reception staff only […] to be told that they checked with cleaners and they said nothing was taken(would they say anything else?), shirt in question was in a reguon of £100.00, after a long debate we were told that manager will investigate--still waiting to hear from them. My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. Its a superb stay for a tour of the tuscan sites. we stayed 4 days. we went to pisa 1st day, florence 2nd viareggio 3rd and lucca on the last day. we got the bus out of the hotel straight to the rail station which was great to travel around on. [ dont forget to stamp your train ticket] pisa lovely, florence stunning, […] viareggio relaxing and lucca was quaint a great all round stay..
