Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. Very modern rooms with a good gym. Only stayed overnight. Initially they had us in a smoking room. Imagine, they still have them in fact they still have entire floors of smoking rooms. They moved us immediately upon our request. Would definitely return. Very convenient to the airport.

While the hotel was close to the airport, it was a little too close as every plan that took off and landed seemed to fly right over the hotel. Additionally, the doors of the hotel rooms were VERY close together and every time my neighbor came and went, I heard it. It was rather annoying especially early in the morning.

My family & I were there for 6 nights and had a king suite with breakfast. On my reservation,there was a choice for the second room to have a single bed or bunk bed. I requested for single but didn't get that. Also, breakfast was an option which I choose but at check-in, I had to prove that I did purchase it and showed them the print out .... then I […] was given the voucher. At the restaurant, the first 2 days, the staff looked like they were not happy about honoring the voucher...almost felt like they were doing us a favor?! There was no bellman on staff to help with luggage or any offer to help. The first day, the room was barely cleaned especially the bathroom. I overnighted at this hotel before an early morning flight. The family suite is large with 2 very comfortable bedrooms, each with their own TV, a kitchenette and a bathroom with a nice deep tub bath. The restaurant was lovely, and tastefully decorated. I would definitely stay here again!

Make sure you call the shuttle to pick you up at the airport or you we'll be waiting for a long time. I ended up taking a taxi to the hotel, and the manager on duty refund me for that upon my request. I was very impressed w/ the quality of the service.

The staff tried to help as much as possible when the reservation was wrong even though there was a mistake about the handicapped accessibility (a room with 2 queen beds) — The front desk was called when making the reservation but the room was not available. This is not acceptable if you have a handicap and are wheelchair bound because you can't just […] go find another room as easy as a typical traveler. The staff did accommodate as best they could when we arrived. The STAFF even went beyond the call of duty when we could not start our vehicle and helped us get on our way back home. The hotel itself was nice (room, decor) and the staff was very helpful. And a bonus.....the shower was hot and had great water pressure and ample room between the shower curtain and the shower wall. I stayed here before catching a morning flight. We arrived late in the evening, but it was not a problem for the front desk staff, who were very friendly and accomodating. Sandman Signature Pros: 1. thermostat-controlled, quiet heating/cooling. I can't stress this one enough: most of the hotels we've stayed in have AC/heat units that are noisy. While it's possible to tune out the racket, it's nice to avoid it altogether. 2. fairly comfy beds, spacious bathroom and ample closet space. 3. prompt, efficient, courteous staff 4. […] lobby/rooms were generally well-appointed and attractive. 5. decent on-site restaurant (Moxie's) with extended hours for dining/room service. 6. affordable - lodging in the Toronto area can be pretty pricey. Cons: 1. rooms were small, overall with limited work space. This is fine for one person, but sub-optimal for two people with computers. 2. free wi-fi was sloooow. 3. hotel is situated in a neighborhood with limited dining options (particularly breakfast) - most of what's available are other hotel restaurants. 4. Room repairs, although small, were glaringly obvious (this is why I gave only a "3" for "condition or maintenance" - small "dings" like the obviously glued-together hole in one wall detracted somewhat from the ambience, particularly since it was right at eye-level). Overall: we were satisfied with this hotel, and would likely stay there again - the pros solidly outweighed the cons, for the purposes of our visit (i.e., as a place to crash while exploring Toronto). Nice room, clean and equipped nicely for a family of four. the kids loved having their own room with the TV and the beanbag chairs too. The facility came as advertised, with the only real surprise being a happy one: the restaurant off the lobby turns out to be something of a local hotspot! And that was really a good thing since I didn't have a car and there's nothing within easy walking distance except perhaps another hotel.
