Stayed on a busy fri night. Hoops match across the street & large crowd. Manager helped my mom get a taxi to hospital. And he had room service deliver two meals after kitchen had closed for the night. Manager was great. Great location.

The hotel is actually very new & really nice & the staff was helpful & friendly. However, I was a tourist in Ireland for the first time & this is not a good location since it is about a 40 minute train ride from Dublin city center. The upside was, there is a shopping center about a 10 minute walk where you can catch the train or a bus.

We got the impression that the Hotel Maldron in Tallaught is strugling to survive in a down economy. The staff was more than accomodating, they really tried to make us feel comfortable, but all in all I would rate the hotel as a two star

I was extremely happy with the choice of hotel I made. Price was great as well! It was outside of Dublin City Center so we rented a car from Dublin Airport which we used to drive to Cork. There is also the LUAS tram within walking distance from the hotel and we took that into Dublin City Center which was all very convenient. There was a grocery store […] downstairs and a Tesco/McDonalds/Burger King across the street. Hotel was in great condition (minus the carpet which had cigarette burns and stains but we didnt care). The room was AWESOME. We got 2 rooms. One was a corner room with a wrap around deck and the most beautiful view of the mountains and the other had a balcony with a mountain/Tallaght city center view. The staff was AMAZING!! Lorna and Jacek were always helpful and nice. We also got complimentary full access to the Arena Leisure where we went to the pool. The pool area had a steam room, sauna, hot tub and jetted seats inside the pool. Facilities and changing rooms were great as well. Whenever we need something, we just asked the front desk and they were there to take care of it. We wanted to warm up some pizza we got and they let us use the microwave in the the Stir restaurant in the lobby. I never heard 'No' when we were there. Parking was free in a secured underground garage and felt very safe even when walking alone at night. We were extremely satified with the whole experience. They hotel was below average. Inside the room was fairly clean but the chairs where very worn and the furniture looked a little beat up as well. We were right across from the football pitch and the road so we heard every police and emergency vehicle go by. We did stay during Holy week (there on Good Friday and Easter Sunday) therefore I think they were […] running on a skeleton crew. The hotel was fairly nice. It is about a five minute walk from where the flybus (airport shuttle you can catch for about 9 euro one way or 15 euro for rt, they also have family rates if you have kids). It is nearly the same distance for the Luas redline light rail that will take you directly into town. The ride is a bit long 25 min or so and they light […] rail only runs until 11:30 pm so if you are planning on staying late in town enjoying the pubs you will probably have to take a taxi back to the hotel. The hotel room itself was nice and as expected. It was clean and they provided extra pillows. They do have machines on most floors that you can get some candy, chips, soda or even a electric plus or razor which was nice. I can't speak for the food at the hotel because I didn't eat at any of it. I didn't really see anything amazing on the menu and felt I could get more for my money elsewhere but then again it is very close and convenient to have I suppose. The one time I did want to order something the kitchen was closed. The gym and pool is nice. It is shared with a neighboring gym so, you have to get buzzed in and out each time you wish to use it and sign in with the workers at the gym. Read more

Fantastic rooms spotless, cleaned the next day perfect and could leave anything money laptops phones no hassel. Hotel had great pool food and bar. My partner’s mother was in hospital for an operation. There were some complications, so we decided to head to Tallaght and get a hotel. It was the price and Free Parking that attracted us to it at first as we did not know the hotel or area. Hotel.com had the best offer for a two nights stay. When we arrived at the hotel we got a lovely welcome. The […] room was perfectly formed with large windows looking out at our own personal balcony which overlooked the city lights. The room contained a good sized table and two very comfy chairs... if only my case had of been big enough. Very nice bed and décor in general. TV, trouser press, tea and coffee, hairdryer, good wardrobe, and large full length mirror. A great big bathroom with a lovely powerful shower. Loads of counter space in both the bedroom and bathroom, which is very important for the ladies, and is greatly overlooked in a lot of hotels. Dolly was the most helpful member of staff. It was a 5/6 minute walk to the hospital, which was so, so handy. And the shopping center/cinema/food outlets in-between. The hotel also had or access to a leisure center but we didn’t have swimsuits with us, so didn’t avail, shame. For the price, the hotel was very good value. The room was clean overall, but the carpet could do with cleaning or replacing as it looked very dirty. Regardless of the price the carpets should be clean!

The location was a big discouragement at first since it was really far from the airport but once we got there we forgot our woes as the hotel was neat and good. I stayed here to check out the Maldron prior to booking a hotel in Wexford as they have another hotel there also. This is not a good place to stay and the hotel was poor. The rooms temperature is uncomfortably high, the entire rear of the hotel is overlooked by apartments at a very close proximity, the front looks out on an ugly road. There were hundreds […] of cigarette ends right outside the main entrance door that remained there for more than 24 hours. The WiFi didn't work on my laptop (which works in dozens of other hotels without issue) so I had to tether it to my phone to get access (not a major deal since I figured out how to do this but it could be for others). The reception staff are pleasant but seem inexperienced. I can honestly say the only things I could say was good was that the breakfast was not bad at all and there is a small balcony in some rooms for smokers. Read more

Where do I start. The place is really nice, directly across the road from The Square shopping centre which has about 100 shops inside. The Luas is a two minute walk away, just around the corner for easy access to the city centre - however it takes 40 minutes on the Luas to GET to the centre so I would suggest a different hotel if you plan on visiting […] the centre a lot. The reception staff were friendly and helpful - however we never called room service so I can't review that. The area is a little unsafe but we never ran in to trouble. The price is great and the quality is even better. The pool area is nice, a jacuzzi and a sauna are also available. We only stayed there for about an hour but it was an enjoyable one. The rooms are VERY HOT. The windows are double glazed which is great to block out traffic noise but in doing so, it completely cut off any ventilation. We were boiling all night and couldn't even use the duvet because of it. In the room, some amenities are provided. We had a kettle and a hairdryer, two cups and a little milk and sugar. We also had showergel and handwash in the bathroom so they're not needed if you're traveling. All in all, I'd recommend Maldron Tallaght to everyone - it's such a bargain and I'll definitely be staying there again. Read more

I have now stayed at the 3 Hotels in Tallagh which are quiet close to one another and of the 3 the Maldron was by far the best. If there was a complaint it was that in summer time the douvet on the bed was far too heavy. Everything else was first class.

went to stay at the maldron because we were attending the eucharistic congress chose this hotel because dublin was busy because of the event so we could use the luas when we arrived the check in was efficient and the room although basic was spotless after that it was downhill we went to have an evening meal and waited forty minutes for our order although […] three people who came in after us were served before us our starter and main course arrived together so we returned the starter but when we went to pay we were being charged for it the waiter didn`t seem to have a clue and went around chewing on a cocktail stick which was very offputting there didn`t seem to be anyone in charge to direct the staff the same waiter was behind the bar later on and when he was asked for an irish coffee he replied he didn`t know how to make one not very good service for a hotelthe breakfast in the morning was ok but again the service was iffy the hotel could do with better supervision and management that said everything was vary clean there was no atmosphere in the bar at night and nowhere else to go in the area i also found it to be very cold most of the time Read more

I wanted a value price (I got 2night good price deal) somewhere quiet outside city centre but misjudged distance. It takes 40 minutes by luas tram to get to Dublin city centre.
