"Wonderful!"
We decided on the Park Plaza County Hall because of it's location and price. Upon arrival (after a very tiring overnight flight), we arrived at the hotel early in hopes of checking in early. Our room was not quite ready yet, so they allowed us to have breakfast (for FREE) in the executive lounge. It was an alright breakfast, but being free and VERY […] hungry, can't complain. Our room was ready barely an hour later, and with our FREE upgrade, we were VERY happy with our room. I love that all of the rooms are suites, because having the fridge and microwave really helped us save a bunch of money as far as eating out. The comfort of the room was top notch! We did take advantage of the free computers in the basement, as well as the FREE laundry! The computers were slow, but served the purpose. The laundry facilities are small, but again, served the purpose! We were there for two weeks, so having the ability to do laundry at 1AM after a full day of activities was very convenient. Outside of the hotel, the area was SO convenient! It was a gorgeous walk over the bridge to Westminster Abbey & Big Ben. Trafalgar Square was closer than it seemed, as is Buckingham Palace. London is a REALLY easy city to walk in, and we found ourselves walking more places than taking taxis. I loved this hotel! With the fabulous FREE upgrade (with a stunning view of the Abbey & London Eye!), the free laundry facilities, and the great location, I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again! Read more

"Park Plaza county hall-Great location,"
We stayed their April 2012. When we arrived, the staff at the front desk was not very friendly or helpful. We asked to be upgraded for a better view. We paid extra. The bathroom was horrible. It had a stand up shower with a plastic cover. When anyone took a shower the entire floor would get wet and disgusting. I complained to the front desk. They said […] they could look into moving us, but it seemed too much trouble so we stayed. But they should have offered some type of compensation. I think their staff needs better training. after paying a good amount to stay their, you would think they would have a friendlier staff and try to keep their customers happier. But location is great. The room is nice. Read more
"Great for Families"
Kids stayed on the sofa bed in the "separate room", parents stayed in the bedroom. Worked out great. Location allows you to walk across the Westminister bridge with ease to all of the sights. I found the breakfast to be very good (lots of variety for an European hotel). Highly recommended.

Excellent location. Nice breakfast though a little on the cold side. Room was comfortable and well maintained.
"London Park Plaza County Hall"
I was pleasantly surprised of the location, it was much more convenient than I expected. Easily accessed by the Tube from Heathrow, no need for a cab which is way too expensive. Request twin room, got a one bdrm studio which we used like a two bedrm apt. The main bed was as you walked in the room, small separation between rooms of the bathrm and kitchenette, […] then the sitting room had a pullout sofa bed w/floor to ceiling window. The room included two plasma screen TVs, heat control, microwave, dishes, eating utensils and small frig. I felt like this was my home. If you like walking, you can walk to the more well known points of interest. 20 minute walk to London Bridge, Tower of London and Sheakespeare's Globe. London Eye just across the street. 10 minutes across the westminster bridge to Big Ben, House of Parliment, Westminster Abbey. 30 minutes to Buckingham Palace. I you don't like walking there is the Tube/Rail station at Waterloo. There are several small eating establishments around the block Ask the friendly staff where the Starbucks, Yo Sushi and the fim museum. Enjoy. Read more

"Park Plaza County Hall in London recommended"
The hotel is conveniently located a few minutes walk from Waterloo Station. The hotel is comfortable and the staff very helpful and friendly. Free WIFI available in the room was a plus. The restaurant was nice but I only ate there once. There are a lot of local restaurants nearby so there are numerous options for eating out. The room was comfortable […] and clean. The beds a bit small and very close together. One not so great feature was the lack of a vanity mirror in the room. Apart from the bathroom mirror the only other mirror was on the inside of the wardrobe door. If it had been on the other door it might have been more convenient as it opened so the mirror faced the window about 2 feet away. A bit of a squeeze trying to see yourself in it. The lack of a vanity mirror meant stretching the cord from the power outlet, across the open wardrobe door to use the mirror on the inside of the door. It was not easy or convenient! It was almost impossible to apply makeup as the same mirror had to be used and there was no lighting near it . Great hotel, great location, but they could do with more mirrors and more lighting!! "I like it"
I like this hotel...it is extremely close to the London Eye which was great and also walking distance to the tube making it easy to get around. The room is modern and spacious. It was very clean and beautiful. The shower was a bit tricky but we got help and then I didn't have to have a freezing shower the next day. A great hotel!
"Park Plaza County Hall - well placed, good value"
After landing at LHR at 9 AM on a red eye flight from the States, and having to ride the tube into the city, the hotel was kind enough to let us check in early, bump us up to a bigger suite, and sort out breakfast to be sent up to our room. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it definitively served for us, and the bathroom was brilliant, with a […] nice bath and separate shower. Short walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and pubs. Great value for money. Read more

"Park Plaza County Hall - Dec 2011"
We had a very lovely stay at the Park Plaza County Hall Hotel in London. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was well maintained and the food was delicious. The hotel was also within walking distance to a number of London attractions and to the Underground which is very easy to navigate. The only minor suggestion that I would have is that […] it would be good to put families in rooms where the bathroom could be locked, but we still had an excellent overall experience. Read more
"Nice hotel, nice location"
County Hall was a nice hotel and the staff was very friendly. Our room (after paying for an upgrade) was a very nice size for 3 three people (1219). We did get a corner room with lots of windows and privacy from the large open space in the center of the hotel. The pull out sofa for sitting and sleeping was as hard as a brick. Also, the bathroom door […] was sliding frosted glass, located directly across from the bed, so there was absolutely no privacy for anyone in the bathroom. As part of the paid upgrade, we had access to the executive room on the 2nd floor. It was very nice to be able to eat breakfast in the hotel before venturing out, but because the room was so small it was sometimes difficult to find a place to sit. Overall the hotel was very clean, the staff helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and the location was decent as it was only a couple of blocks away from the tube, the London Eye and the Westminster Bridge. However, it felt very corporate...cookie cutter...nothing special. The Park Plaza Westminster which is literally across the street has a contemporary bar and more upgrades that I would be interested in for the next visit. However, the Westminster is also more expensive. The best comparison may be to say, if the Park Plaza Westminster is a "Contemporary Formal Dining Room" than the Park Plaza County Hall is the "Informal Cafe". Read more

"Nice but small"
The location is great, service was very timely and courteous, and the free laundry was very helpful. But the room was a little small and you don't have as nice of a view of the Big Ben and Westminister because the County Hall blocks the view from most of the floors.

"Park Plaza County Hall London - very well run"
We were very pleased with the Park Plaza County Hall hotel in London. Jjust south of Westminster bridge, this hotel is centrally located to all major sites and close to both the Waterloo and Westminster tube stops. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast buffets were a great way to start the day. The hotel […] offered a free fitness facility, laundry (we didn't use it so I'm not sure if it was free or not), and the rooms all had free wi-fi. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. "Great Location, Walking distance to most sights"
This hotel was awesome for us as a family. We were able to easily walk to many of the top attractions including Westminister Abbey, Trafalgar Square etc. There is a tube station next door connected to a regional rail station so you can easily get anywhere. Tons of buses stop right out front. There are a variety of restaurants and stores within a few […] blocks which is great since the rooms have small kitchens. We found this hotel by luck and will defintely stay there again Read more
"Stayed with the Kids"
This hotel was a block away from dining and the London Eye. Close to hop on hop off bus tours and very clean. Breakfast was a bit busy and we had to sit in a conference room instead of the dining area, but staff were very nice and the rooms were clean.
"Convenience and Quality in One Location"
This property is located at the County Hall area and directly adjacent to the Waterloo Underground and rail station. It is a 5 minute walk to Westminster, Parliament, the London Eye, and Big Ben. A 10 minute walk to Buckingham Palace. A Big Bus Tour major pickup/drop off point is a 3 minute walk. The adjacent Park Plaza Westminster has a convenient […] ATM machine off the main lobby available 7x24. The staff was courteous and efficient, easily honoring all our requests. Our stay was 6 nights duration, so we had ample time to assess the facility fully. Many chain and ethnic restaurants nearby, with the Locale Italian Cafe being by far our favorite. We highly recommend this hotel. Read more
"Park Plaza County Hall- Nice"
The location of the Park Plaza County Hall is great, just around the corner from the London Eye and across the Thames from Big Ben. Waterloo and Westminster Tube Stations are very close also. About a 15 minute walk to Trafalgar Square and 20-25 minutes to Soho and the West End. Room was nice but the mattress was a little soft and not much of a view. Overall […] a nice hotel, though. "Good location - highly recommend"
This hotel was in an excellent location near the London eye and next to Waterloo station. The actual access for the station was sightly challenging while toting multiple suit cases however it made travel easily by train for getting around London. The room was very comfortable and although small had all the amenities one could desire. The concierge was […] very helpful with storing bags, mailing letters and making recommendations for meals. The front desk staff also was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was good however is not included in the price of the hotel and is in addition to the nightly cost. It a great value for the location and convenience of a London hotel. Read more

"Fraser Suites Edinburgh"
The hotel was in the perfect location. However it's quit difficult to find on your GPS. The hotel is situated on a side street St. Giles and when you receive instructions from your GPS, it places you on the main road The Mound. It's at the top of a hill so when walking around you have to climb a huge flight of stairs to return to the street. Just an […] FYI for anyone with issues with stairs or if you have knee problems. I feel like I'm in pretty good shape and you definitely get winded when climbing those stairs. Otherwise, the hotel was great. Really clean and modern. It's right off the Royal Mile and blocks from the Edinburgh Castle. If you walk down the huge flight of stairs it takes you to Waverly Bridge with easy access to all transportations and tours. "Look no more, this IS the hotel to stay in London"
For the sake of time I will stress the best qualities of this hotel but in reality everything about it was great. First of all, the location is the best. Short steps from Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and the Trafalgar Square area. There are two Metro stations near by. One of them, Waterloo, is right outside. I used Westminster which is about two blocks […] away just because the walk is so nice over the Thames that I just chose to do it. Second big quality is the price. It is not a five star hotel but for the price you get more than what you would expect. Finally, the service is great, the room -with a view of the Thames and the Eye of London, was superb; the bathroom was short of luxurious with robes, niceties, and all. The breakfast buffet was included with my rate and it was awesome. I have travelled extensively throughout Europe and this is by far, one of the most pleasant places that I have ever stayed in (for the price, of course). I defenitely recommend it and I will stay there next time. Book it now before they run out of rooms. Trust me. Read more
"Park Plaza County Hall in London"
The hotel was quite clean and very well located. The front desk folks were quite helpful with all requests and questions. The breakfast seemed a little pricey but was very good, with the exception of the scrambled eggs, which were grossly undercooked. There were four in my party, 3 adults and one child and we shared a family executive suite. The sofa […] bed was most uncomfortable. My son & daughter-in-law said the other bed wasn't very comfortable either! After calling the front desk about the sofa bed, a housekeeper showed up in about ten minutes with another mattress type thing for the sofa bed. It helped, but was still not condusive to a decent night's sleep. The amenities were nice....coffee, tea, wafers, toiletries, etc. I would stay in this hotel again but would NOT sleep on the sofa bed. Read more
"Overall Excellent Hotel"
Stayed here in Mid August. Really good hotel, well managed, maintained and clean. Great for families and kids oriented. Couple of specific comments: - seems to be very full, lots of guests waiting for rooms at check in well past 3.00 pm. - excellent location for tourists - very good buffet breakfast for which they will offer a special pre-paid rate […] at check in. That is a must get! - Elevators were very busy in the morning, expect to wait 20 minutes ... try the service elevators! - Concierge not well informed at all - in fact they were terrible. Sent us to see the change of the guard on wrong day; poor choice of restaurants; sent us to another restaurant that was closed; directions were all wrong ... very frustrating. - Rooms were great - clean, well appointed, everything worked, beds comfortable, very good housekeeping. "Park Plaza County Hall in London - great location"
This hotel was really comfortable - we had a double with a pull-out couch for 2 adults and 2 kids for 3 nights. Bathrooms were brand spanking new and very clean. Room included a mini kitchenette and was very convenient. The location is outstanding - steps to the London eye, Waterloo station and very close to the Westminster area. The staff were very […] friendly, free wi-fi in the common areas. Gym was great and they have a very affordable take away break fast menu. Overall - highly recommended!! Read more
"Great Hotel - very accomidating"
We had a great stay at this hotel. They were very accomidating! The reidrected our lugage to the correct hotel and did not miss a beat. The minus was the sleeper sofa - not confortable, and there was no alternative. If you have more than 2 people - make sure there are 2 beds not the sleeper sofa! The breakfast was great, but dont waste your money on […] dinner! We left hungry and poor. Read more

"Park Plaza County Hall hotel in London"
This hotel was fabulous, and good value as well. The location was an easy walking distance to Westminster Abbey and the London Eye, and just around the corner from Waterloo rail services and many buses. The front desk and concierge staff were friendly and helpful. We had a suite room which was very clean and included a small kitchenette area with a […] microwave and refrigerator. The bedroom was separated from the living area by a short corridor, and although there was no door to the bedroom, a closet door swung right over the entrance, affording some privacy. The couch in the living room area folded out into a queen sized bed which was ample for two children to share. (You woud not be able to fit in a separate fold-out cot as well.) The hotel also provided a laundry room for the use of guests, which was appreciated as not many hotels that we stayed at provided such a facility. Read more
"Great for families"
The hotel is located a very short walk from the London Eye, and Waterloo station. Very easy walk to Big Ben, Westminster across the bridge. We walked to Trafalgar Square with 8 & 11 year old, no problem. There are a couple of small grocery stores, restaurants and a Starbucks close by. It is a great hotel for families because you have two rooms separated […] by a kitchenette. Very small refrigerator, microwave and sink, good for breakfast and we even heated up food from M&S for dinner. They also have a good breakfast available and kids eat free. Kids movies are also free on tv. I would definetly recommend for travelers with kids. Read more

"Close to sights, bad room view & bathroom smell."
The view from the room was disappointing to say the least. It had a side view of the train stations massive dome roof and a couple of trash cans on street level. Secondly there was a rotten smell in the bathroom coming from one of the drains. After a complaint in the lobby they send Hotel maintenance to the room who the promptly replaced the rotten […] drain smell with an equally strong obnoxious chemical smell. As for the room the receptionist in a very friendly voice said they are full and we cannot get a more appropriate room. I was expecting more from a Hotel in this price class. Read more
I loved this Hotel, very modern and Funky! Only small complaint I have is that there is no plug in the Bathroom by the mirror to plug in the blow dryer, so you have to plug it in by the desk and T.V. where there is no mirror so see your hair.
"Park Plaza County Hall - good access to London"
The hotel is well situated to the heart of downtown London. You are a 3 minute walk from the Waterloo train and tube station, across the way from Big Ben, Parliament, the London Eye and the Aquarium. Good access to local eateries and transportation. The hotel is clean, service is excellent. My only complaint would be waiting for the elevators as […] they are small. But this wasn't a detractor from our stay. I enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it to others. Good amenities for family, and a friendly staff. Read more
"Even better than expected"
We booked a suite because we needed space for a 16 year old--the reservation said the bed was a double with a pull-out sofa. Turns out the bed was closer to king size, and the pull-out was much more comfortable that most. We liked having the small kitchenette. The hotel's design is wonderful--very modern, clean design. If your booking doesn't include […] breakfast (ours didn't) it's a very expensive add-on. The area right outside the hotel isn't too appealing (at the side of Waterloo train station and across from another hotel), but there are lots of great attractions and all sorts of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. 3 tube stops are close by--Waterloo is closest but I liked to walk across the Thames to Embankment or Westminster. "Perfect"
Friendly and helpful staff, lovely well arranged room for 2 adults and one 8 year-old. Great location for London Eye, South Bank and West End.
"Great Location"
Excellently located for the London Eye / Waterloo Stn, with remarkable soundproofing given its central location. We were given a free upgrade upon arrival, and our studio was excellent. Some minor niggles - one being that the bath plug did not fit properly so the bath constantly drained, the other that the shower leaked meaning the room smelled vaguely […] of damp. Nice bar / cafe area and friendly staff, although their local knowledge was not extensive. I would happily return. Read more

"Reasonable price and great location"
We were in London for a weekend break and found the Park Plaza County Hall to be perfect for what we wanted. The location is spot on for the South Bank and a few minutes walk from Waterloo station for good links into the West end etc. The hotel itself is large (14 floors). On arrival we had a complimentary upgrade to an executive suite. There was […] no particular reason I could think of for this so was very pleased when they informed us we had been upgraded! The room was very spacious and modern with a nice bathroom. The view was spoilt slightly by the building works over the road but this could not be helped. We could see Big Ben from our window which was nice. We did not have breakfast in the hotel as this was an extra £12.50 per person per day. I thought that this was slightly excessive so we got breakfast elsewhere. I used the gym facilities both days we were there and it was excellent. Well equipped and clean. Overall, I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a weekend in central London. Read more
