"I'll stay again"
This is the second stay for me at this hotel. The hotel was clean, the staff courteous. I guess the only negative that I can come up with was the pool. After a long day of sightseeing in Savannah, my wife and I wanted to go for a swim. Unfortunately that didn't happen. The pool was dirty, and didn't look like it had been cleaned in a couple of days. The weather was a bit stormy on one of the days we were there, but I would think that hotel staff would want to stay on top of things. It's not a deal breaker, but still....... Other than the pool, the hotel was very good.

No bells or whistles with this place but great for just a stay in Savannah. Since there is so much to do outside in Savannah you really don't spend too much time in your hotel room anyways. Comfortable beds with pillow top mattress. Very friendly staff. Won't find a cheaper room with that kind of location in Savannah!

"Nice hotel close to Riverstreet"
It was a bit pricey, because you have to pay for valet parking, and doesn't include continental breakfast. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but it wad a easy walk to the river.

"Very disappointed."
It was an awful choice. The public areas were under renovation meaning the restaurant was closed, the bar was closed, and there were canvas drop cloths all over the entrance area. To top it off, despite needing handicapped parking, when we arrived after a very long day I was told there was no on-site parking available. Choices were to try to find street parking in a very questionable area, or go to a parking garage four blocks away. Desk clerk was not helpful with directions. You should be told of the hotel condition when booking.

We are sorry to hear that you were not able to enjoy our bar due to renovations. However, We are excited to announce that we have finished renovations as of May 1, 2015. Parking is very limited in historic Savannah and we do offer on site valet parking for a fee. We are competitively price with other hotels in the area. We do hope you will come back and stay with us again and enjoy our newly renovated publics space and rooms. Sincerely, Amanda Kelly Guest Service Manager

"Good stay"
Everything was great except they never said the pool would be closed when booking. When I searched for hotels, having a pool was one of my preferences. Could have stayed at a hotel just as nice that was cheaper with no pool.

"Close to City Market and River Street."
This was our 14th trip to Savannah and the 8th time we stayed at this hotel. Last year when we checked in it was still a Sheraton Four Points, but transitioned to Holiday Inn the following day. Holiday Inn did massive renovations since they took over. We barely recognized the interior when we arrived! I'm glad to say the staff are just as nice and helpful as in the past. We were treated so well, especially by Toi and Alicia at the front desk, Aisha and Chef Harold in the bar/dining area and Kim, Chris and Jared the valets.

"Yuck!"
Air conditioner leaked on rug. Never fixed the whole stay. Put a fan in room to dry rug. Location was terrible. Only thing it was close to was City Market. It was on edge of town and felt like you were in the cheap seats. Been to Savanah before it wasn't like "experiencing" Savanah at all. Only stayed there due to a mix up with reservations. We were supposed to stay at the other Holiday In on Bay St. No comparison.

Though it was within walking distance to River St, the hotel did not offer any shuttle service. Due to a storm there was no wifi for the entire time spent at the hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

"Good Location"
08/27/15 Josh W Boone, North Carolina
The location is the main attraction for this hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean but being able to get to river street so quickly was the game changer. Parking is valet only and expensive so be prepared for that. Would go back again for the location.

"Not terribly impressed"
08/23/15 Erin D Florida
This hotel is okay. The one big positive is the location - it is conveniently located within walking distance of most of the historic district. The hotel staff is polite. Other than that, I'm not quite sure why it is rated so high. I have stayed at far nicer establishments in the area for comparable pricing. We stayed in a king suite with a sofa bed in the living room. The sofa was in a position in which it could not be opened unless we rearranged all the furniture, which we thought was a bit ridiculous. Once opened, the space was impossibly tight. We have stayed in other suites like this and never encountered this problem.

"Surprisingly luxurious"

On the river front, the roof top pool area offers great views in all conditions. Greeted with ice lemonade and vintage yet stylish lobby, encapturing old town at its best. The breakfast here is full of innovative machines, to improve the sometimes poor breakfast at other chain locations, yet here they have pulled all the stops out. The rooms are a little small as standard for more than two people, floor space is rather minimal. The rest is well up to date and comfortable

"Good hotel in great location"
08/23/15 Don H Duluth, Georgia
Hotel couldn't be located in a better location. We were able to easily hop on a tour that the concierge had hooked us up with and the majority of shops were within walking distance. Was not a fan of the valet only parking. There's a pizza joint two blocks from the hotel called go gos that had a fun atmosphere and some hot and cheesey pizza.

"Favorite hotel in Savannah"
08/22/15 Michael B Irving, Texas
My wife and I just recently got married and enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Cayman Islands. We thought it would be hard to top that experience but the people, location and relaxing atmosphere at this place came pretty darn close. Paddy, the concierge, went out of her way to get us setup with a tour and to make sure they arrived on time, which apparently can be an issue in Savannah. The room was great with standard amenities, a solid pool, and some unique staff. We really liked the old Savannah feel on the outside but a more modern vibe on the inside. We will be back for a romantic anniversary trip for sure.

"Ritz Carlton feel"
08/21/15 Mary M Boise, Idaho
The service here from Dan in valet, jalese at checkin, Stephanie in the restaurant and all the all the friendly housekeepers who we weren't able to get names on, just blew us away. We usually stay at ritz Carlton or jw marriotts but took a chance on the holiday inn when those weren't options in town. Thank you for the smiles and friendly conversations!

"Great location on bay street"
08/19/15 Francis E Chicago, Illinois
You can't beat the HIs location on bay street. Right by the city market where we would recommend going to check out the music at wild wings. We were there for a bachelorette party and bring able to access the hotel from anywhere we were in the city made the trip stress free.

"Romantic Retreat"
08/19/15 Thomas N Monroe, Louisiana
It's hard to beat the Spanish moss and gas lanterns of this city and this place only added to ambiance. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the pool and the hotel has its own buffet, which is a plus so you can eat before heading out into the heat- which is out of control if not prepared for it. Rooms are standard brand hotel with the usual amenities but are very clean. Parking is pricey. The concierge, Beth, set us up with a riding tour around the city, wound recommend as its a relaxing way to get a large glimpse of the city.

"Superb new hotel"
08/18/15 David R Atlanta, Georgia
My wife and I could tell they had just finished this hotel as it was spotless and beautiful from top to bottom. We arrived and had to do the valet parking which was a surprise but they were very friendly. Check in staff were courteous and gave a great recommendation of where to find all the shopping, lots of big names brands and some local ones as well. We travel down the coast every summer and would chose this hotel again.

"Comfortable and clean, recommended"
08/18/15 Angela N St. Petersburg, Florida
I was recommended to this hotel by a friend who had just visited Savannah and now I will be doing the same. The hotel is clean and the rooms offer a large amount of space to lounge around. Access to river street one block made this really convenient so that we didn't have to use our car in the downtown traffic.
