Very nice room for the price we paid. Room was spacious and kitchennette is a plus! Close to all major places that we wanted to go: 5th avenue, Juarez avenue, Walmart, ADO station, colectivo station, good restaurants. Had a great time!

Just south of Puerto Aventuras, Xpu-Ha’s broad, powdery, white-sand beach is widely regarded among the peninsula’s most beautiful. There’s plenty of room to string up a hammock and relax, sunbathe, or swim in the surf.

"Fabulous Hotel"
The Barcelo was awesome! The hotel was beautiful, immaculate, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The grounds were immaculate. Lots to do, lots of variety at the restaurants, and the buffets. A perfect destination, would love to return!

Having visited Riviera Maya before this is not the level of service I have come to expect. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. The facilities are nice but the customer service is atrocious. Things started out poorly almost immediately. We had to wait in a 2 hour line (in the heat) to check in.. only to be told that our room wasn't ready yet […] (well after check-in). We were told to come back later to pick up our keys.. which meant waiting in another 45 minute line. After check-in we decided to try the bar. Unfortunately the drinks were extremely watered down. Even my wine tasted like it was half water. Then came dinner.. the food was good enough but we had to argue to even get seated! The hotel failed to disclose their extremely strictly enforced dinner-time dress code at the time of booking. Unfortunately, having packed light, I did not have the proper attire. It took a good 10 minutes of complaining before the staff loaned me some "adequate" pants.. and then proceded to laugh and poke fun at me for the entire meal because of it. Completely unprofessional. The next day only got worse... I awoke to find my room *covered* in ants. They were all over the bedside table, my computer, and even my toothbrush! Gross. We decided to try to book our dinner reservations but unfortunately the concierge was not at her post. We waited for her for 45 minutes before getting disgusted and leaving. The staff that walked by during this time was completely unhelpful and refused to even try to radio the concierge. Later when we finally did track her down we were told that there were no dinner reservations available for tonight (or the next night for that matter)! Ummm... what? You can have the greatest food in the world but if there's not enough room to accomodate your guests then it's worthless! A nuestra llegada, nos hicieron un up-grade por reservar con hoteles.com, el hotel muy lindo y familiar, el servicio muy bueno, la comida muy rica y en general todo excelente, muy recomendable.
"EXCELENTE HOTEL"
Desde que llegamos al hotel la atencion fue de primera categoria. Nos alojaron en una habitacion frente al mar sin costo adicional. El servicio de alimentación muy bueno, ni que decir de los restaurantes que ofrcen distintos tipos de comidas en la cena: Mexicano, Frances, Español, Caribeño, Italiano, etc.etc. La playa es muy linda y el mar cristalino; […] lo unico negativo es que hay que cuidarse de no toparse con alguna piedra en el mar y ubicarse en una zona que no ofrezca este tipo de inconvenientes. "Sensacional hotel"
Es un Hotel sensacional y el unico defecto que encontre en el complejo hotelero Barcelo de la Riviera Maya es la escalera que existe en el muelle y que se utiliza para salir del agua. Esta escalera esta con una inlcinacion de mas de 95 grados lo que hace dificultoso la salida del agua por la misma, haciendo la correccion de este angulo seria muy beneficioso […] para todos los usuarios independiente de su condicion fisica. Como otra alternativa seria bueno analizar algun otro tipo de escalera que facilite el ingreso/egreso al agua, ya que ese muelle y sus peces es un gran punto de atraccion del complejo hotelero, cosa que no vi en ningun otro Hotel de la Riviera Maya que conozco unos cuantos. ビュッフェレストランのウエイターさんの働きぶりは、すばらしい。日本の飲食店の従業員も見習ってほしいくらい気が利いていた。水が半分以下になったらすぐついでくれるし、お皿が空けばすぐさげる。もちろん明るく紳士的で好感度２００点満点です。それも一人の方ではなくて、私が利用した４回に接客してくれた全員です。残念ながら女性の方はあまり愛想なく怖かったです。

Nos dieron un upgrade lo cual nos cayó de sorpresa por haber reservado en hoteles.com el cuarto daba a la alberca y tenía una úbicacion y vista increibles, la atención, el vino espumoso, las frutas con chocolate, y los restaurantes de especialidad fueron lo mejor, la alberca impecable y los juegos de agua muy divertidos, la srita. lorena y la encargada […] del premium club que tiene un nombre raro fueron de lo mas amables en todo momento.
