Great place to spend a night or 2 we were looking for a place to spend the night and we found it. PROS: Very Clean and comfortable beds, free internet, cable t.v. Hotel is 3 blocks from all the tourist attractions, spots, and restaurants. The hotel once belonged to a past governor and has 13 rooms. The best room is # 12...large,lots of light, good air conditioning, old but serviceable furniture and the only room with a balcony. Hotel Aragon is conveniently located--about a 10-15 minute walk from the central plaza and only 2 blocks from the Museum of Modern Art (actually traditional arts of Mexico). My room wasn't perfect. They used an oil-based soap on the floor, which I had to ask them to stop using because the film it left on my feet was nasty. The shower took forever […] to heat up. Near the end of my stay, the gas water heater ran out of gas and the delivery was delayed. Thus my shower was very tepid (not too bad, given the hot climate). The LG A/C unit was noisy and impossible to control with the remote. It had a mind of its own and made annoying clicking noises even when off. I was forced to sleep with earplugs. The lobby area (wireless Internet there only) is stifling-hot and their are biting insects there. I saved a lot of money by staying here, but I don't recommend it for those who want move comfort. There is an old adage that you get what you pay for. If you want cheap, then this is it. Gent at the check-in was much more engrossed in his TV show than helping us. The room was as basic as it comes but relatively clean. En general el hotel es bueno, comodo y economico, sin embargo encontre dos detallitos que no me gustaron, la primera es que el no hay estacionamiento y en el que no te cobran por ser huesped esta muy lejos, asi que la opcion es dejarlo estacionado en la calle, aunque se ve es seguro el lugar la verdad es que no duermes tranquilo por el pendiente de […] que algo le pase a tu auto, y la segunda que no me parecio es que cuando te quieres dar una ducha, el agua caliente tarda muchisisisimo tiempo en salir, pregunte a la persona de recepcion pensando habia un problema con el calentador y me dijo que era normal que tardaba entre 5 y 10 min en salir caliente, y si, efectivamente me espere mucho tiempo y la verdad ahi tienen tache porque si se desperdicia mucha agua. El lugar es encantador desde que entras, es un lugar antiguo y está decorado de acuerdo a este concepto. El problema con este concepto es que no es solo apariencia, las camas parecen tener eras geológicas, los colchones incómodos, el baño era un desastre; No había papel higiénico, ni lugar donde ponerlo pues estaba quebrado el porta papel, el porta […] toallas tampoco era funcional, no hay agua caliente a menos que abras las llaves media hora para que circule el agua caliente desde el quizá lejanísimo calentador de agua. Por un lado tenía una vista a la encantadora fuente del patio central, y por otro lado teníamos vista a una horrible azotea sucia. Cabe señalar que las habitaciones son oscuras, aún con las tenues luces encendidas. No hay TV por cable, vaya, por poco ni siquiera TV hay puesto que el receptor de TV era viejìsimo y se veía terrible. Afortunadamente no necesitamos encender el aire acondicionado, pero el aparato se veía viejísimo. Finalmente, y para ser justo debo decir que por el costo, este hotel es de las mejores opciones disponibles en los alrededores del Centro de Mérida. Incluye desayuno americano (pan, mantequilla, mermelada, café y jugo de naranja). Tiene una alberca bastante agradable (no la utilizamos), pero pudiera ser un plus para algunas personas. No me pareció mal, de entrada da un aspecto de descuido, por la humedad y porque algunos muebles están maltratados, pero tiene lo suyo y es lindo, por el precio que manejan es cómodo y cumple con el mínimo para sentirse a gusto, aunque la calle para bajar a la plaza grande es obscura.

Jeg havde en god oplevelse af Hotel Aragon, morgenmaden kunne uden besvær gøres meget bedre - bla. var smørret ofte flydende, men bortset fra det, var der ingen problemer. Man skal blot vende sig til at gå hjem ad mørke gader, men det gælder vist i mange byer her på Yugatan halvøen.

Et lite og trivelig hotell midt i sentrum av Merida. Det var så bra at vi forlenget oppholdet med to dager. Det eneste negative var bilparkeringen som lå på et annet hotell 800 meter unna. Men til denne lave prisen kan man godt gå et stykke. Bra svmømmebasseng og gode senger.

Stanchissimi, abbiamo solo dormito ... arrivati tardissimo non abbiamo trovato il parcheggio (che ricordavamo ci fosse) il gestore ci ha indicato un posto non lontano ma in strada, è forse meglio (con l'auto a noleggio) parcheggiare in uno dei tanti "estacionamiento" a pagamento (meno ansia).
