Although it was a bit difficult to find the Doria, once we arrived we knew it was worth the trouble! What a view!! Beautiful, modern hotel, light and airy. Excellent staff. Rooms were first class - roomy, comfortable bed, lots of closet space and lovely bathroom. Add to that a balcony looking out to the sea - what more could you want? Air Conditioning needs to be fixed or upgraded. we really suffered overnight with the temperature of the room and in some cases we even had to call to see what was going on as the temperature in the room raised to an unbearable condition. 2. Great and friendly service. Make sure to book rooms with the sea view. Unbelievable view of the water and the bay. Breakfast is great with lots of Turkish variety. The private beach area is managed very well with their own bar and full menu restauarant. We were there at the most busy time of the year during the end of Ramadan celebrations. As a result […] the hotel was full and unfortunately they cancelled our Hamam reservations by mistake. They manager however did his best and found us another spa and offered to take us there by the hotel's own shuttle service. Our conceirge/receptionist Metin was great. He recommeded couple of fantastic restaurants which we thoroughly enjoyed. If you have a GPS take it with you. Renting a car and driving around is not difficult and adds to the experience. Although the location is a little bit far away from the downtown, around 25TL by taxi, Doria hotel facilitates itself quite well. Five star hotel facility! Excellent views of the Aegean! Gumbet is a bit weird, honky-tonk, Cancun-ish... not as nice as Bodrum itself. Entrance hill to the hotel is a KILLER! Drawbacks/disappointments: Blue Moon is a large party hotel nearby - you hear their techno dance music (pounding, throbbing, "show me your wet t-shirt" type) is heard uninterrupted […] from their pool and bar area - whereas the Doria has relaxing lounge music playing by the restaurant/ bar and pool, creating a cool, chill-out modern vibe. Restaurant needs to learn smoother service and responding to customer needs. The food is great, but entres are not served at the same time (one having their maincourse while the other is waiting... and waiting). Drinks not served in a timely manner - results in a loss of revenue for the hotel (hello! keep the drinks flowing while people wait!). In addition, attempting to obtain the waitstaffs' attention during the meal or while at the pool for a drink, is taxing. Housekeeping keeps the rooms clean, but towell situation was frustrating... e.g., wash cloths were provided the first day, then never seen again in the room unless specifically asked for - and make sure you know the Turkish word for washcloth, or they will not understand. Also, disappointing was that others' room service dishes were left outside the doors in the halls in excess of 24 hours before someone would pick them up. Lots of potential! we had a rental car and truly the roads in Bodrum are often confusing- the hotel has a number of signs up and they were a godsend. it was way off season so we were kind of alone in the hotel but they still served food in a timely fashion and it was good.

This was a classy hotel with superb views. Quite a contrast to the two busy and noisy all-inclusive hotels nearby. Two beautiful, very clean, infinity pools, underused (in the 2nd week of July anyway) with always a choice of available sunbeds. There were no restaurants in walking distance to offer an alternative to the exclusive, but rather expensive […] restaurant, however it was easy to get a taxi to nearby Bitez beach or a mini bus to Bodrum Marina (These come past every 5-10 minutes and cost just 3 Turkish Lira). Vores ophold på Doria Hotel har været utrolig godt. Hotellet er meget rent og deres service er topklasse. Der bliver gjort rent hver dag, og personalet yder deres bedste service. En ulempe er dog bare at det ligger 50 km fra lufthavnen, og rimelig langt fra bodrum centrum. Men hotellet har en fantastisk udsigt hvilket nok skyldes deres beliggenhed.

Det som utmärkte hotellet var läget, den fantastiska utsikten, den fina egna beachcluben (5 min med buss) med god mat, sköna sotsängar, loungemusik och bad från bryggor.
