"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel in the theatre district. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic room accomodations but very clean. Would recommend.

The landmark Brooklyn Bridge links Manhattan with the city’s most populous borough. Waterfront Brooklyn Heights offers superb views of Lower Manhattan. Renowned for its brownstones and leafy neighborhoods, Brooklyn embodies America’s “melting pot.” Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Jewish communities add to the cultural mix. Highlights include Coney Island, Prospect Park, and Brooklyn Museum of Art.

"Mostly adequate. Very rough are. Think twice."
The hotel is in a rough neighborhood in east new york. If you don't belong there, you will stick out a lot. Wouldn't recommend arriving by subway, even during the day. The price I paid wasn't really low enough to justify the dangerous location. The place itself is ok, well-kept, and run by a courteous staff consisting of south asians (India I think) […] from behind a bullet-proof glass window where you slide the credit card through a slot. The hallways and room smell faintly of cigarettes and curry powder. The reception is meant to be 24 hours but sometimes is left unstaffed for a few minutes, with the front door wide open. Street walkers come in with their johns from off the street sometimes, but I saw them turned away despite plenty of rooms being available, which I think is good. The main actual clients seemed to be either people like myself who didn't know what they were getting into (including some Europeans) and some former residents of the neighborhood (East NY) who had made some money and got out, and were coming back for a visit. The reception is willing to call a "cab" for you, which in my case was a Dominican guy in an SUV with no meter. The room was perfectly adequate, comfortable, and clean. I commend the staff for making the most of difficult circumstance, but think hard on whether this is really the hotel for you. Read more

"Quality Inn Queens"
The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to the subway, but we could hear the subways cars all night since it is above ground. The hotel advertised a hot breakfast, but it only had cereal, toast, donuts and bagels.
"Quality Inn Brooklyn"
If all you need is a place to sleep at an affordable price, then this place is fine. Don't expect a "nice view" from any of the windows and if you are a light sleeper, you may want ear plugs since the city's lullaby is the train overhead. It served its purpose for what I needed, but, some folks may be more particular.
"One Night Stay"
It was a decent nights stay had no issues and the hotel was clean

"NEVER STAY HERE"
The aroma of marijuana in the front lobby was overwhelming. as well as the dealers and prostitues to get into physical atlercations right in the lobby in front of other guest. They leave to to stand at the counter for at least 15 minutes before they acknowlege that you exist. DONT STAY THERE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Couldn't sleep"
For starter this hotel is in the worst location. I took a taxi there and was expecting to run out for snack. After hours I advise you stay in your room because this location isn't the safest. Entering I immediately notice the noise coming from the elevated train right above the hotel. Did not get an ounce of sleep. Every time I close my eyes for some […] rest the train woke me up over and over again. Would not pay to stay there again. Read more
"Quality Inn Brooklyn, good in a pinch"
Accommodating staff, I got there the next day, way past check in time and was very tired and they let me into a room and allowed me to purchase another night at the same rate. Standard continental breakfast, not that great but had an okay bagel and coffee. I had a smoking room, and they are usually not as clean as others but for some reason the floor […] in this hotel was soaking wet by the door. I should have asked for a new room but I was very drained and just ended up crashing. It is very hard to describe where the hotel is because it is located next to and beneath a bridge entrance to a larger road. I think I only found it because I had a smartphone. Read more
"Hotel Stay"
Need to work on other eateries that deliver. Took 3 attempts to get some one to turn down air conditioning in the room. Rooms are very clean and maintained. Would stay again only for short time.
"Cheap and Close to the Subway"
Real Close, the L train stops right above the hotel, Luckily i travel cheap, so i always keeps ear plugs. lol Breakfast room seats 4, weekend breakfast? well, cereal, milk sitting on the counter for who knows how long. No smoking room? well not smoked in lately didn't qualify for me, so i ask to be changed to another room, which they did. I booked this […] room on price and access to the subway sight unseen. Staff fairly nonchalant. Read more

"Ok for a nights stay."
Hotel clean, comfortable & convenient. Have stayed overnight before & will stat again. Not bad for the price!
"BUGS BUGS BUGS!"
Stayed there one night before an interview at a school. Staff at front desk was not very helpful. Opened the closest and two bugs came out. Then, opened the drawer of the desk and three more bugs came out. I was so grossed out.

"Don't expect much for this price..."
Hotel is ok. Is clean and staff is nice. However if your porpouse is to visit NYC, keep looking... about an hour away in train from Manhattan area... is not the best area in Brooklyn, dark, but we always found police in the street. Worst part is the train passing almost over the hotel every 15 mins, if you need total quite to sleep this is not for you, […] train passes every 15 mins and is not pretty. Breakfast is pretty good for continental, however there are only two tables available... probably is best to grab something and take it to your room. Hotel is clean and everything works. Read more
"to noise"
horrible it is too close to train station, a lot of noise; furthermore people who attend there are no too polite and they don't care the customers.
Service at the front desk was horrible. Surrounding neighborhood was not pleasant at all. We didn't feel safe.
location is not bad.but NEIGHBORHOOD IS UNSAFET.They don't say true.we take morning breakfast the staff is LAZY.only she watch tv
Room was very clean with adequate roominess. Need better directions to hotel when exiting subway such as exit @ Broadway Junction and walk two blocks to the right to the hotel. Extremely noisy area due to subway and expressway. Luckily we had earplugs along which allowed us to sleep or we probably wouldn't have. Need better hotel security in that front […] door was left open which gives "anyone" access to hotel rooms. Breakfast area totally too small for # of guests Read more
"What the picture doesn't show"
This hotel is next to the the elevated subweay which was airbruished out of the picture. Good location, good oprice and not bad if you can ignor the trains.
"Vacation"
Good place to stay

The room was small but to be expected. There were signs of past bedbugs but no current problem seen. One block from the L train but also 100ft from the tracks. Not a place to walk at night, nothing to really walk to. Hourly rates offered, nuff said. Will do in a pinch I guess and get you to the train.

"Great hotel for great sleepers"
This is an awesome hotel for the price. Clean, very comfortable, good service. Only downside is the railroad juncion just outside, bring earplugs if you don't sleep really well. It's really like being on an overnight train. We thought that was super cozy, but I can see how some don't.

"horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
i wouldn't ask my worst enemy to stay at this hotel!
"Decent Hotel if you are ok with the neighborhood"
This was a surprisingly clean and well-maintained hotel for the price. The amenities are what's-to-be-expected for the star rating and it's close to many subway stations. However...the neighborhood needs to be considered by anyone who is booking. For one, the subway passes about 20 feet from the hotel and is VERY noisy. If you can't sleep through the […] train, this is not the place for you. Secondly, the neighborhood was ridiculously loud on Friday night. There were cars parked in vacant lots with stereos blasting and clubs with open doors. The music was louder than the train, and that's saying something. Read more
Would not stay at this hotel.. I booked my reservations for this hotel online, when I called the hotel to confirm my reservations, the manager Kiran told me he had no reservations under my name or confirmation number. He assured me thay my card would not be charged because there were no reservtions for me. A few hours later, my reservations came thru, […] but i had already booked another hotel to stay at. The manager Kiran refused to refund my money even though I did not stay at the hotel and due to the problem they had with finding my reservation. Staff and manager was not polite in handling this situation. Read more

"don't think again"
first, had hard time finding the place and didn't realize it was a hotel until entering. second, the satellite kept messing up wherein on some channels there was a black block on the screen obscuring the view. when front desk was questioned (around 3 or so) i was told i had to wait until that evening. eventually when reminded of the situation an employee […] came up and it was "fixed", temporarily. it continued through the night. some channels that were listed weren't available to access. additionally, i didn't particularly care for the channel selections. fox news is the highest rated cable news network but it was not offered. finally, being directly across from the subway/el/rail was very disconcerting and disturbing. it is not conducive for rest, relaxation or tranquility. "Clean and Comfortable, Location is Iffy"
I live in Brooklyn, and I booked a room in this hotel for my aunt for who was passing through town just for a night, and it was kind of a last-minute thing. The hotel was way cleaner and better maintained than I expected. It seems very new, and everything is in quite good condition. It seems like a perfectly reasonable place to stay, if you're just […] looking for a cheap, clean place to keep your stuff while you spend time in other parts of New York. Just be aware that the location is somewhat less than desirable, and if you're fairly street-smart and aware of your surroundings, you'll be fine. Don't expect much in the way of restaurants or entertainment in the immediate neighborhood (although I'm sure if you're looking for some good West Indian food, you won't be disappointed). It is also literally right under the L-Train platform, so you're going to be hearing trains going by pretty frequently. On the plus side, it's right by the train, so you can hop on and get to Williamsburg or Manhattan pretty quickly. Read more
"Worst location, horrible train noise all night long"
This hotel is nice looking and well kept, but in a horrible location, under 5 elevated train tracks, and next to the place all the metropolitan buses park overnight. It is difficult to find (being under the street and tracks) and near several drug rehabs. When we asked for a car to be called, we mistakenly took a gypsy cab and ended up having our computer […] stolen. It was a New York nightmare experience. Pay the extra money and stay closer to Manhattan. You end up spending the difference on taxis and cars because it is so far from everything, and unsafe to take buses or subways (or even hired cars, it seems.) Read more

"Hotel has rooms in their basement"
I reserved my room via hotels.com. And when I came "Quality Inn Brooklyn" had only 1 room available, 101. This room and some other rooms are located in the basement. It is a horrible apartment. There was 1 small window at the top with a view on the cars' wheels. Air conditioner worked extremely loudly and was very big and dirty. In the room smelled […] very strange... Also, I felt uncomfortable in that room, being underground, and understanding that there is a cemetery near by the hotel. I asked receptionist to provide me another room but he told me that it is a very good room and he was surprised that I do not like it. So, I had to make a check out and go to another hotel. Of course "Quality Inn Brooklyn" got money for all nights which I booked. So, in case if you are not happy with this hotel be ready that anyway you will not be able to get your money back. Also, receptionist which talked to me was very lazy and impolite. Read more
"Quality Inn Brooklyn"
Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and was quite suprised. Yes the area is very quite and not much happening but is located next the subway which is good to get around. The trains did not bothered me when I was sleeping. Overall the staff was freindly and I had no problems. The room was clean and cosy, sheets clean too. The only problem I had was that […] the taxi man could not find it but I showed him where it was. I would stay there again. Thanks Quality Inn Read more
"hôtel Quality inn Brooklyn : qualité/prix"
L'hôtel touche plusieurs rames du métro aérien, donc très bruyant (roule 24/24), prévoir des boules Quies. Sinon très bon rapport qualité/ prix. Chambres spacieuses, confortables, propres et bien équipées. Wifi et petit déj' compris ( les gaufres sont excellentes). L'hôtel est très proches du métro, lignes qui arrivent au coeur de manhattan en 20 minutes. […] Quartier moyen. Read more
