This was an older hotel, however, it was very clean. The only complaint we have was the bed was not very comfortable.

My stay at the Knights Inn was great. The room isn't modern and up-to-date, but it was clean, spacious, and everything functioned properly. I was also pleasantly surprised that the hotel provided wifi. Overall, great experience at such a reasonable price. I will stay here again on future visits to town.

I was influenced to stay at this value hotel due to its low cost and the surprisingly strong ratings by previous people on the website who had stayed there. If your expectations are appropriate for a 1 Star hotel of its age, I think your expectations will be exceeded. The staff was very nice and responsive. The room was spacious, clean and offered the […] extras that most 2 and 3 star hotels afford. If you are ok with entry doors that open to the outside (a classic traditional "motel") you will be fine. I will stay there again as I will have to go to the Kirksville area often due to having a child enrolled at Truman State. Read more

I knew that this place would not be the Ritz but I chose it based on price and I got decent value for my money. The room was clean, though outdated. The bed was comfortable. The room was very spacious. I was just looking for a place to lay my head while my daughter toured Truman State. The continental breakfast is very limited, small prewrapped muffins […] and rolls, some cereal and coffee. Just enough to grab and go. This hotel was our only option when we traveled to the Kirksville area last minute for a funeral. Having read some of the previous reviews, we didn't expect much, but we figured it was only for one night. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The facility is not new, but its rooms are spacious and well-equipped. It was reasonably clean and the […] beds were as comfortable as most others we've slept on in our travels. The pool was clean, and our kids enjoyed a brief swim. We did notice a musty smell in the room when we first arrived, but we weren't bothered by it after the first few minutes. We would have appreciated some signs on the gates to the pool. These gates have an unusual latch more than six feet off the ground, and we weren't the only guests who had trouble figuring out how to get in. At first we thought the gates were locked. Hotel is clean and comfortable, older building but kept up. Rates are reasonable. Owners pleasant. Serves basic breakfast, cereal and rolls. Has refrigerator and microwave in room and out door pool. Close to Truman State University.

For the money, I knew I wasn't walking in to a five star hotel, and I was actually a bit worried as to what I would find. However, I got a great surprise! There was tons of room, we had everything we needed and it was plenty of space for 5 people to get ready for a wedding. (Not to mention, we are a rowdy bunch, and with so few other people staying […] here, no one complained about our noise -- just an added bonus!) I was very, very pleastantly surprised. In fact, I had a visitor that saw what we had, and immediately regretted her stay at the Day's Inn down the street. I'll probably never be in Kirksville again, but if I am, you'll find me here! For the love of God and everything holy, don't stay here. Rooms were dirty, mattress was awful and did not give a good nights rest. Heating system was LOUD all night long. Cheap, convenient to Truman State.

The hotel was clean and fairly comfortable. Towels were worn, and the "breakfast" was not much, but for the price everything was okay. If looking for more comfort and an actual complementary breakfast, I would pay the extra $20 or so per night to stay somewhere else in town.
