We went there on honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The villa was excellent and very spacious. It has a separate kitchen and diner and was great as we would cook our own food and the staff even came to lean up. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you for everything.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We go back to bali on regular basis and stayed in different villas but seminyak villa was the only one that we felt we will definately go back as soon as we walked into the villa. Everything was just superb.this trip was just before our baby is born and we already made plans to go bacl with the baby! Staffs were all attentive and friendly. Large bathroom […] with huge bath tube and aircon was great! With aircon in the bathroom, you dont sweat as you walk out of the shower :-) location is great.... We were walking to our favorite warung for lunch everyday and shopping area is just few mins away walking! Otherwise taxis are really cheap! Oh and breakfast was very tasty!!! Spa was great !! We are really ready to go back to sentosa villa!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Would go back tomorrow"
Our stay was great from start to finish. Drinks on arrival, escorted to a fabulous private villa which we didn't want to leave, cocktails during happy hour, you name it. And breakfast can be delivered to your room - for free. Stop it!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Do yourself a favour and stay here"

I have never written an online review of any type. But I felt the need to review Sentosa post my recent stay there to set the record straight. I booked a week long holiday at Sentosa before reading any Tripadvisor reviews. Once booked, I looked online and saw very mixed reports. To be honest it made me nervous that I'd made the wrong decision given how many other accommodation options there are in Seminyak. So straight out I need to say - I dont know what expectations the negative reviewers had, but I feel like the place I am reviewing is not the same place they were. Sentosa is magical. I can't fault it. From the moment we entered the drive way to the moment we checked out, I can't fault it. We stayed in a very spacious one bedroom villa (which is actually a 3 bedroom villa with two bedrooms locked), with our own private pool (it definitely isn't a 'lap pool' like others have suggested), full kitchen, lounge room, dining room, indoor/outdoor bathroom, and endless purified water. The villa was immaculately cleaned daily (the clean included pool and garden maintenance as well). From our villa we were able to order from a full menu or just call up for a coffee or Bintang. Nothing was too much trouble. The resort pool was tranquil and clean, the day spa wasn't cheap compared to other local spas, but you pay for the experience and expertise of the therapists. We kept going back for more! The menu at Salt Tapas restaurant is tasty and fresh. And the staff were attentive, friendly and accommodating. Yes the resort is a walk down a skinny side street off the main road, but this short distance places the resort in its own world away from the hassle and bustle of the busy main road. And don't leave without booking the in villa Indonesian BBQ. Trying the local food in your own villa, with the chef there to talk you through the traditional food menu is highly recommended. My one and only warning is ask how much you are going to get charged for requesting a daily newspaper. We jumped at the chance to get a daily copy of our local paper from back home. It was delivered in full, every morning. When we got our bill at the end of our stay, the cost per paper per day was $12!! Don't even think twice about staying here. Sentosa is a must for anyone looking for 5 star luxury, with 5 star service. We are already counting down the days till we can visit again.

Very nice resort in the quiet part of Seminyak. The mian road is about 0.5 km away and there are some nice bars and restaurants there. The hotel is very nice and the accommodation is very comfortable. There was a separate bedroom and living area/kitchen and a private pool. The breakfast is really nice, staff are friendly and they provide free pick up and drop off to rooms from the reception area. Recommend this place.

Absolutely luxurious resort especially if you are lucky enough to be able to afford one of the large private 2 or 3 bedroom villas with their own plunge pool. You can spend your entire time secluded in your villa, organize your own private chef and never have to leave or interact with others. Staff are absolutely magnificent - in fact I have never met better. Shame I never bumped into the famous Aussie in the bar or restaurant but saw plenty of security keeping us mortals away from her villa. Did see Mercedes but she had no time for me. Just wish channel 7 would pay for me to stay there indefinitely but regrettably I am not a human interest story. Would definitely recommend.

I'm staying at this hotel at the moment whilst a celebrity guest ex con Schapelle Corby has just checked in. This is a fine hotel to stay in and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxed stay Rooms are up market and comfortable and its worth splurging in the spa and massage centre. Hopefully will run into Corby at the bar....

"One of the best villa hotels in Bali!"
02/05/14 Nina V Sydney, Australia
I've only been to Bali a handful of times and Sentosa Seminyak was by far the best place I've stayed in so far. After making the big, big BIG mistake of staying in the Kuta cesspool on my first trip to Bali, we have since stayed at other hotels around Nusa Dua and Seminyak. Sentosa Villas are stunning with fabulous service. While the villa price was a bit expensive for Bali, the service and location of Sentosa is great. Close to all the Seminyak hotspots like La Lucciola, Motel Mexicola and Ku De Ta - Sentosa is tucked away at the end of a dead end street so there is absolutely NO noise. You can walk from the hotel (the street is a bit scary though with no street lights at night) or take a taxi (just ask the taxi driver to be careful over the speed bumps as they are SO high and it scrapes the bottom of the car!). The villas themselves are stunning with your own personal plunge pool, free wifi, kitchen, outdoor shower and more. We stayed in the pool one day while housekeeping came through and they are surprisingly all male! The housekeeping boys are amazing, so respectful, kind, quick and clean- so be sure to leave them a generous tip at the end of your trip (there are 5 cleaners that come to your room every day). Room service was great and quick. I also had a dressmaker come to the villa to make me some dresses and the front desk drove the dressmaker over to the villa in a gold cart. The only issue we had with Sentosa was the villa beside ours was being renovated and some of the builders just stood on the rood overlooking our villa and stared at us girls swimming in the pool. We called the front desk to complain and not only did the manager of Sentosa come over but she brought three big security guards with her. She then made the security guards talk to the builders, remove them from the roof for the rest of the day AND when we left our villa to go shopping we noticed two of the same security guards standing guard at the front of the villa being constructed. AND the lovely manager sent over a massive fruit basket to apologise for the inconvenience. Overall, a fabulous holiday and Sentosa should be very proud of their staff and the beautiful villas. We will certainly be back and recommend everyone to go and stay there when visiting Bali.
"Loved our stay......"

I read most of the reviews before I booked here and was confused about the mixed reports. Now having stayed I can see the good and the bad with Sentosa Seminyak. We stayed for a week in a 3 bed villa with 3 adults and two kids under 4. Our first villa was really close to the road so we moved because of the noise and distance (Villa 46). This was handled really well and without a problem. The next Villa (Villa 29) was perfect. Lovely and quiet and within walking distance to the restaurant (the other villa was too far to walk and we had to wait for a buggy). In hindsight, I think the key to a great stay here is getting the right Villa which is difficult if you don't know which one to ask for! Personally it seems a bit unfair to charge the same amount for the Villa's in the not so desirable locations (like right on the busy road or near construction). It may be better to structure the Villa rates according to location? They may also have less complaints and drama if they are open and upfront about the differences when you book? I specifically requested the best available Villa as it was for a special occasion and was a little disappointed we ended up right at the back of the property near the busy road. My only other (small) complaint was with housekeeping. The Villas' were very clean but small things and attention to detail seemed to be lacking on some of the days. (Toilet paper not replaced, empty shower gel not replaced etc) Things you would expect from other hotels. But this is a minor complaint. Having said all that, we had a fabulous time and would definitely go back. Yes the Villas' were not brand new and there was some definite signs of wear and tear (the tables at the main pool could probably be replaced?) But the staff were outstanding and so friendly at the restaurant and always made us feel welcome and were great with the kids. The food at Salt was delicious and the room service was fantastic and efficient (handy when you have hungry kids needing dinner!) We loved the bar and tapas in the evening and never got sick of the selection of food & cocktails. We found the location very convenient and could walk easily to some restaurants and those further away were easy to get to by taxi! Also great having the free wifi in the rooms and DVD player for the kids. I'd like to thank the staff at Sentosa Seminyak for a fabulous stay! Because of you we can overlook the few glitches we experienced and will be back to stay when we can!
"I don't like here"

If you stay here, suggest you have your breakfast in the restaurant instead in villa. Food is not warm, so it's the worst experience breakfast in Bali. The villa is beautiful and staffs are nice. But I won't stay here anymore because the bed don't come with mosquito net.
"Excellent short stay"

Recently had the pleasure of staying at Sentosa Villas. Our villa (18) was huge, set over two pavilions which was divided by our own private a lap pool. Mod cons inc CD/DVD player, iron, day bed, dining room table, huge granite kitchen. Excellent communal facilities include a very large gym with ample free-weights, bikes (2) and running machines (2). Staff were attentive and always happy to help. Had a great dinner at the Luke Mangan Restaurant which is located inside the Sentosa Villas- food was superb. Excellent breakfast whilst sitting around the communal pool area- this can be ordered 'in room' also. Spa we didn't try but the fit out looked 5 Star. Good location- within walking distance to Seminyak Square and all the great restaurants. Would definitely recommend.
"Good, Bad & Ugly"
01/18/14 Rachael E Melbourne, Australia
Spent 2 weeks in a 3 bedroom villa in January. Good- service and friendliness of staff. Bent over backwards to make amends and ensure the problems we encountered were rectified. Breakfast was great. Spa was great. Pool in our last villa was magnificent. Bad- we changed villas 3 times in 6 days. First villa backed onto maintenance area and noise and fumes of machinery being used were overpowering. 2nd villa had the villa opposite undergo extensive renovations. Lounge was infested with spiders. Men working on roof from 7:00am to 6:00pm. One of our party could not use her outdoor bathroom or toilet because the men had full view of her there. Furniture stained and run down to some extent. Ugly- cost does not justify what was offered, there are better locations - you needed transport to go anywhere and there are villas at equal or better levels of quality at lower prices. Tip - be aware of the double lock (lock activated from inside and another on outside of the door) You can be locked in or out depending on which lock is activated. We found ourselves in this situation. Difficult for groups of friends who are not always doing everything together. The GM and team are working hard to fix some of these issues. We appreciated their willingness to offer amends through free transport, spa sessions and upgrading to a 5 bedroom villa with an almost Olympic sized pool. Will be a better property in the next 6-12 months when upgrades completed. Thought needs to be given to occupancy of villas where renovations are being done, especially at the high end rates that are charged and high level of competition in Seminyak from other properties.
