This is a great hotel if you are on a budget - staff are friendly and rooms are spotlessly clean. The only minor downside is the location. It's not in the greatest area - fairly rough bar across the road - and is probably 5 minutes further from town than most would like - but it's not that far. Takes about 5 minutes to get to O'Connell St, 15 minutes to get to Temple Bar, 20 minutes to Grafton St. Good hotel - but next visit I'll probably stay a little closer to town and pay a bit more.

Very clean hotel, well mantained, and a great value for the money. It had all of the modern conveniences (flat screen tv, in-room internet connection, coffemaker, hairdryer, etc). But it was a little bit of a hike uphill away from the main city center. So if you are doing some sightseeing, it is the kind of place that you don't want to forget something and have to hike on back. On the other hand, it was good that it was away from the Temple Bar and the other loud, rowdy parts of town because you could actually get some sleep! Overall, it is a nice, pleasant place to stay.

Great sound proofing - it is located in the middle of Dublin right beside a hospital, yet we never heard any road noise at all! Located a 5 minute walk from O'Connell Street and 15 minute walk from Temple Bar area. Close to many bus connections - we used the 16a service from the Airport to O'Connell Street for our outbound journey and then returned from a stop just down from the hotel in Parnell St West cost 2.20 euros each way rather than 6 euros on the Express service from Airport. Greeted by happy reception staff, allocated a room on the 1st floor which appeared to have been renovated, we ended up with a triple rather than a double which was great. Very clean with the exception of the bath, tea and coffee facilities provided (no biccies), hairdryer, iron, with board and trouser press, limited toileteries provided - shower gel for bath and soap for hand basin. Lovely comfortable bed. Hotel facilities limited but we weren't there to spend time in the room eg bar does open until 5pm also closes at 11pm on a weekday night, similar applies to food availability, although we didn't par take. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel until 4pm on the day we departed which was very useful. All in all a good hotel with friendly staff in a sound location - we would definitely use it in the future for a pratical comfortable stay in a capital city.

I was even out quite late in the night and felt completely safe. We didn't have breakfast or anything there, but it was available at a discounted rate if you booked in advance which was good. Oh and the reception doors were locked after 11, so you knew it would be safe. the room was lovely, bathroom spotless, and it had a lovely shower.

This is really more of a personal thing than a knock against the hotel though. The front desk employees were great the entire time we were there. The restaurant was good the one night we ate there. The location really can't be beat for the price seeing as how it's about a 5-10 minute walk to O'Connell Street. I would suggest to anyone staying in Dublin to give this hotel a try.

The hotel wasn't bad but the service I would say not the best. When we first checked in the keys didn't work and I had to go back to the reception, the guy forgot to do whatever they do for the electronic key to work. I couldn't find the second towel that actually was inside of one of the closets (we were in a double room) and they did send the lady with the extra towel, but she wasn't very happy and made a point of showing that she didn't make the mistake because the towel was there. Unecessary. The people at the reception were not rude or anything but they were not exceptional either. Just like a robot, feel very weird. Anyway, I recommend the hotel it is not bad, but if I have an option I am not crazy to return there. I stayed in better and cheaper hotels during this trip and this one didn't even have breakfast.

Second, there wasn't any parking nearby so we had to use there parking which was an extra 10 euro per night AND they have VERY limited parking, I counted 11 parking spots! We got lucky and got the last one they had that night. Also, breakfast was not included, the bed wasn't too comfortable and it was really noisy! I got no sleep and neither did my fiancee. The food at the restaurant in the hotel was good and the staff was nice and friendly but I would not stay there again. The price was reasonable though and you will be pretty close to a lot of things.

It was incredibly clean with a sparkling bathroom. Just note that there are no individual toiletries in the bathrooms, there are just wall mounted dispensers that contain soap. The hotel's location wasn't great, there wasn't much around that area in terms of pubs or restaurants, it was just a short walk to O'Connell Street where you started to get towards more life. One other note to make, I ordered a taxi to take us into Temple Bar area, the taxi man told me I would have been better flagging one down from O'Connell street as when he picked us up at the hotel he had to go all around the one way system. The room was modern and stylish, clean and the bed nice and comfy. We booked cheap budget flights and wanted somewhere cheap but clean and comfortable to stay. About 5 mins walk to O'Connell St and 15-20mins walk to Temple Bar. The hotel exceeded my expectations. There were only 2 very small con's to staying here. We stayed in a no smoking room but, whenever we used the air con we could smell cigarette smoke which was obviously as a result of there being air movement from the smoking rooms. There is a bit of an uphill walk from O'Connell Street to the hotel which might not suit less mobile people. Nonetheless I would still recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself was nicely decorated with a comfortable (and reasonably priced!) bar and restaurant and the reception staff couldnt have been more helpful. We were advised that our check in could be made from 2Pm however when we arrived at the hotel at 10AM we were pleasantly surprised when we were told our room was ready for us. The room was comfy and modern and very clean - the maid tidied our room and replaced our towels everyday of our 4 night stay. The bed was comfier than my own at home and the black out curtains led to me oversleeping on more than one morning! The only downside I would say is the actual location of the hotel. Altough it is only a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of Dublin (Temple Bar / O'Connell St Etc) the road that it was on was a little offputting when walking back to the hotel of an evening. However do not let this put you off the hotel as we never experienced any problems and if you would prefer the bus stops are located directly opposite the hotel where you can catch either the site seeing bus or the bus around the city.
