Staff was rude, and not terribly helpful. Room was clean but bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Hotel was not in the same league as the one we had stayed at the previous night in Oporto, despite being in the same price and rating range.

The hotel is a little far from the center for a short visit but the metro and bus stop is close by. The ATM machine is just next door. A pharmacy and a Sony electronic store right across the hotel. Both came handy when I needed a medicine and a camera card. A plenty of food for breakfast and a lot of choice - the quality is not bad but not great either. […] The Gulbenkiam museum is in a walking distance. One girl at the desk was extremely helpful and speaks good english. The other staff were also helpful. In Portugal I found people in general are very very helpful. The internet cost at the hotel is too high - over 10 euros per hour and 5 euros for 15 mins. Also the phone charges from the room are over 1 euros per min. We had a cozy and comfortable stay. Well equipped bathroom, good room service, changed the towels and cleaned the room regularly. The hotel may seem a bit far for some, but there's the metro stop and several bus stations just a minute's walk away at Campo Pequano, which brought us to the Baixa in around 10 minutes. Excellent service from the staff, who were always polite and courteous, and went beyond the call of duty after we left. The staff were brilliant, courteous and knowledgeable. They were always happy to help and gave great instructions and directions. The room was perfect! Large room, comfortable beds, and very clean. Some people on other review sites have mentioned that there's a supermarket round the corner. There is, but it's in the Campo Pequeno centre underneath the bull fighting ring on the main road. Don't go looking for a 'supermercado' in the streets; the one under the bull ring is large and well-stocked. The hotel is near to the railway station. It's the second or third stop on the aerobus shuttle, or the normal bus routes (44, 745 etc.). You will want to get the bus into the main square. It only takes ten minutes and the buses are air conditioned anyway. Find a Carris kiosk somewhere or the Metro station round the corner from the Turim Iberia and buy a daily bilhete. You pay a very small charge for it, and an amount each day, but it's really cheap and gives you unlimited travel on the Carris buses, Metro and trams. Talking of trams, do the feniculars, take the 28 (outside Hotel Mundial) and the 12 another day. I loved Lisbon and I will happily go back again! The hotel was superb, easily the best I've stayed in. The hotel is a little outside "downtown", but only a short walk to the number 44 bus and the Metro (Campo Pequeno) that take you down town in about 30 mins (bus) 20 mins (Metro). The room was a little small, but not too small for sleeping. The room was cleaned every day to a very good standard. The bedding was clean, but the throw was not. The hotel had an eco policy that the towels would only be cleaned if you left them down, however ours were cleaned every day. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are several cafés locally where we bought croissants and coffee for two for under 5 Euros. I took the Turim Iberia because Expedia had sold out of the Turim Europa for the nights I was searching. At the time, it seemed like a good idea, but turned out to be a bad one. This is not an aparthotel, no matter what they claim: it didn't even have drawers in the room, never mind the extra amenities an aparthotel usually comes with. The floor probably […] should have been refinished years ago and the sink and bed both had someone else's hair in them. The maid was quite fond of putting her walkie-talkie on speaker and joining in on debates with other employees in the middle of the hallway. The usual clientele, it appears, consists of people doing cheap tours of Lisbon, so the hotel can be quite noisy, but the noise is almost never because of outside sources. Worst of all, the hotel charges exorbitant prices for the most ridiculous of services. Internet in the "business centre" (not worthy of the name) is 10 euro an hour. Breakfast was something like 7 or 10 euro, despite the fact that 3 euro can easily buy you a large breakfast at Versailles, around the corner. About half the staff spoke English, but this is not much of a problem, as they generally try to avoid interaction with guests. Read more

Consiglio questo hotel perchè si trova a due fermate di metropolitana dal centro. La fermata metro è a pochi metri. La colazione a Buffet è varia ma limitata, comunque più che soddisfacente. Il personale è molto cordiale e disponibile e la camera era spaziosa e veniva pulita quotidianamente. Il televisore mostra due/tre canali italiani.
