No Mobile phone Reception on the first floor, No bath in the bathroom, No premium Channels, No Pay Movies, Had to have the keys reprogrammed 4 times. Toilet was not clean upon arrival, toilet required several flushes. Views of warehouses or an esso station. All that said it was close to tram link to city centre and the bar food was nice, for the priice there are far better hotels around as there was nothing superior about their rooms.

This hotel is real good. The staff is friendly and helpful. the rooms are clean and comfortable. the only one minor downside is the location. its not as close to the city centre as one would like. but if you don't mind a 15 min. walk (or a shuttle for a small fee) to the tram station and a 30 min ride on a clean, modern and timely tram it something i have no problem recommending. a bit out of the way on the airport shuttle bus take the flybus and it drops you off a 10 - 15 min. walk away.Hope you like it.

Yeah, the price is lower, but the first thing they do when you check in is charge your credit card 50 Euros for any service fees you rack up. Any additional services come with a steep price and, for those of you who like to take hotel souvenirs, they have a list of how much they'll charge you. Our room had electrical problems and I was surprised that they didn't charge us to come investigate the problem. Front desk did not tell me how to get to my room and I had to walk down an extremely long hall to get to my room. You need to use your hotel card to activate the elevators. Neighbourhood is seedy. Very difficult to find hotel. After I did find it, I regretted it. You couldn't pay me to stay here again.

stayed for 2 nights over the weekend in 04/2009. Its my second time here. Been to others and the fitz is by far value for money. The best thing about this place has to be the food! Absolutely spot on. If you enjoy hotel catering, well you can't miss this place. The room is very decent and they have fixed the tv signal so its no longer and issue. The shower is so good. Proper power hotel shower. Again compared to some others, this shower is by far the best. Wish they can have wifi in the room but they just have a wired connection in rooms. So you can't check emails with breakfast in bed. Free parking. handy and not far from the airport which is always good. Manage to get into temple bar area in 15 mins, driving that is. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely go back. Well done.

Difficult to find off main road. Otherwise, a good hotel with a fine restaurant. One minor niggle - it is possible to disable the room's lights by turning off a switch by the bed that is unmarked as such. Result - you go down to reception thinking the key card has failed.

The Louis Fitzgerald Hotel is a nice, modern hotel for business travelers, but the location is horrible-in an industrial area, very far from city center, with a major highway construction, in poor area, on the outskirts of Dublin. Very difficult to find when driving, 15 min walking from a tram station on a very narrow, dirty road parallel to 3 line road! They promised to pick us up when you call them, but the waiting time was 40 minutes on a tram station under the rain with no shelter... Stay away from this hotel if you travel for leisure. Staff is very unprofessional, do not volunteer any information-with brief answers: yes, not, don't know!

The rooms are very modern, clean, and comfortable. The Matress's are a little bit on the firm side. The hotel is very European in design and structure, so for those looking for a totally none American experience look no futher. The LJ's bar is wonderful, with great food and drink, and the service was fantastic, I'd like to point out David as one them. The Tram is about 4 block over and will take you anywhere you want in the city. I took this trip as a romantic getaway and thats exactly what i got.

When we read prior reviews, we were not expecting much. We were wrong. The staff was very supportive. I'd like to give my thanks to: Jenny, Sebastian, and Justin. They were extremely helpful during our stay. The walk to the tram stop was not as long as you would think. The tram takes about 15 minutes to get to Dublin city center and was very convenient. The surrounding area is not much to look at (a lot of construction going on) but for the price you cannot go wrong. I would stay here again with out a question.

This hotel is a very nice hotel, if you have a car, like modern rooms and really good food. The chicken and vegetables I had was FANTASTIC. However, I would NOT recommend this location to visitors who want to tour the city and sights in the temple bar or city centre. The only way to get there is by car or by the Luas (the tram). The tram is inconvienently located across a very busy street and not easily accessible due to traffic and construction. They have a shuttle bus (not complimentary) that will drive you over to the stop for the Luas. They say 'call us' when you need a ride, provided you have a cell phone with the hotel number plugged in and a phone connection in Ireland. For most americans this is costly or not possible so your best bet it is hoof it back to the hotel. All in all this is a good place for people with cars and NOT a good place for young travelers that rely on public transportation.

For the money, it was great. Dublin is incredibly expensive and this was quite reasonable. When I stayed there the hotel had only been open for two weeks... I could sense there was some disorginization but I cut them slack for being new. The tram to the city center is a quick walk away which was quite convenient. Management was great and helpful. Some of the staff seemed incompetent. The breakfast was AMAZING! One problem was the heater didn't work and there was no clock in the room as well as no bathtub... Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, flat screen TV, great pillows.

My husband and I stayed at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel from 2nd May- 5th May 2008. The hotel is extremely comfortable and clean and the staff very friendly. It was nice to relax and listen to some traditional Irish entertainment in the hotel bar after a long day travelilng. The only drawback was the 35minute tram journey then 25 minute walk from the centre of Dublin. As we were there to explore other parts of Ireland it put 2 hours on to our journey both Saturday and Sunday. We were forutnate that the weather was fantastic. We went on the Eireann bus to Wexford on the Saturday and Wicklow on Sunday. Clondalkin village is worth a visit about 20 minutes walk from the hotel with plenty very frienly locals in the bars and resturants. In all we had a fantastic few days and would recomment the hotel to anyone traveling to dublin and wanting to do something rather that the touristy city things.

Stayed at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel and was very impressed with the rooms which were spacious and modern. The staff were friendly although inconsistent on advise especially regarding taxi and shuttle services. As the hotel is on the edge of a very busy motorway I think a free shuttle service to the tram would have been a nice touch. I would add another 100 euros for shuttle , tram and taxis for a two night break at the weekend if you want to go into Dublin city both day and night. There is a bus stop outside the hotel but it doesn't run at weekends! All in all the hotel was very nice , breakfast was worth the extra 10 euros , but it was too far out for us and we felt a lot of the weekend was wasted travelling in and out of the city. Would probably be ok if you had a car.

No real major complaints, but a number of minor gripes. Plus points - price is good, beds are exceptionally comfortable, plentiful parking facilities, service was excellent and the staff we encountered very helpful (subject to a couple of minor exceptions). Gripes - Internet connection, a key point for us when choosing the hotel was not available in our original room, but the staff moved us straight away when we pointed this out. We were impressed by their reaction. This is 15 minutes walk form the LUAS, and they do aadvertise a shuttle, but then we were advised to walk. OK if the weather is nice, but....... it wasn't. The staff were helpful, but a couple were difficult to comprehend and unclear in their communication. A really minor gripe. Their in-room documentation is not all that good, with no instructions how to use the net. I'm not quite sure how this is a 4* (very much like a Novotel type hotel) but we liked the hotel and I'm sure these are minor hitches for this new hotel. We'd consider it again.
