"We love the House Mama and Papa :)"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Anna and Ellios were so welcoming! They treated us like family and helped us with anything that we needed, especially setting up a private cooking lesson with one of the top chefs on the island. The location was perfect and close the airport, yet just a block to the beach and a very delicious Restuarant. :) We came at the perfect time of year before the crowds came. Really, the island is not too large, so most locations were less than 15-30 minutes or less. No major crowds in this area, just a peaceful setting. Oh, don't forget the daily cleanings, and a little home grown treat at night. Thank you so much ! I will recommend to many friends. ;)
"One of the best locations in Santorini"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 27, 2012
Awesome view to the Caldera from the room hanging on the cliff. This hotel is located in Firestofani, 10 minute walk distance to Fira on a beautiful road. Excellent service. TV, Air Conditionar although it got cold during the night (on April), Safe box in room.
"Unbelievable view"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 25, 2012
The town of Imerovigli has the best view on the entire island, and the Tholos resort is built to take advantage of this in each of its rooms. The hotel is quaint and the service is impecable, with everyone doing absolutely everything to make every part of our stay perfect. We travel with our two children (12, 14) all around the world, and the room we had was perfect for our family.
"Excellent service!! though I could be better!!"Reviewed by Adrian G of "Oxford" on Apr 15, 2012
This is a good option is you are looking for a comfortable, clean hotel with really helpful personnel who will go the extra mile to make you feel at home... the only bad things about this stay: The rooms are too cold if you visit in other time of the year that is not summer... the heater in the rooms do not work porperly... Wireless internet does not work... I had to work in the holidays and the hotel ended up lending me their internet connection in the lobby and plugged it to my laptop... Breakfast is good but it lacks variety... boiled eggs, omelette and crepes are the only options... and it gets old really quickly... TV has just a few channels... but well, TV is not the reason why you go to Santorini anyway... Other than that the hotel is a pretty solid option... I would recommend it as a reliable low-cost option... the staff is truly helpful and they give you advices and guidance about what to do and where to go... enjoy guys!! I would def go back to Drossos hotel...
"Great place to stay on Santorini"Reviewed by Tom C of "Northern Illinois" on Apr 13, 2012
A great place to stay. Breathtaking views from patio. Khan the manager was very friendly and provided whatever you needed. On our second night there Alexander was serving wine outside the office and several guests from all over the world sat and enjoyed the clear crisp weather and sipped wine for several hours. A breakfast of croissants, ham, cheese, orange juice and coffee was served on the patio each morning.

Santorini’s capital, Thira is a stunning expanse of white houses built into the cliff top 300 metres above the caldera, formed by a by volcanic explosion 3,600 years ago. Packed with tourists in August, its narrow streets are filled with jewellery stores, chic boutiques, pseudo-traditional tavernas and cafes. Its also home to Santorini’s top nightclubs. Take a mule ride or the cable car down to the harbour – or brave the 580 zigzagging steps.

We really loved our room at Galatia Villas! The hotel was a little hard to find, since we didn't have a map and refused to take a cab. So we just kept asking locals along the road how to get there, and that seemed to work out just fine. The room was just too cute! The staff was also extremely friendly and responsive. The bathroom and shower were very […] tiny, but we found that to be the norm across Europe. We had a very good nights' sleep at Galatia Villas, and wished we could have stayed longer. Read more
"Nice room, nice people"
We had a terrible time trying to find this hotel. We ended up asking 2 different surrounding businesses to help us, and they each called the hotel to try to get directions for us. One of the people from this hotel came out to the street to help find us, which we really appreciated. The staff was very nice to us, friendly. The room was very nice for […] this price - a good size with a little kitchenette, and a charming patio right outside. I would stay here again! Read more
We gave your card to a couple from Australia when we were in Thessolinki and recommended they stay in your hotel.
"Liked this hotel"
This was a great place to stay ... very close to the Fira center, just a short walk, but in a very safe neighbourhood. The hotel staff was so helpful and friendly. Definitely ask for restaurant receommdnations...they know good ones! The only downside was the shower... as with most hotels in Greece, it was tiny.
"Absolutely Fabulous Experience"
Galatia Villas was wonderful. It was, by far, the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in... Immaculate. John was wonderful. We arrived and he met us on the street and showed us directly to our adorable room. He let us settle in and then personalized the perfect itinerary for us based on our short stay and our budget. He recommended some amazing and affordable […] restaurants. He provided a computer in the lobby with Internet for guests to use for free which was very very convenient. He arranged breakfast on request with was plentiful, and I even saw him offer to drive people with lots of luggage back and forth to the bus terminal. I felt like I was staying at my grandfather's place. My only criticism (which hardly counts for anything in light of the overwhelmingly positive experience) is that the shower had only a hand shower-head. Being American and used to having the shower head mounted, it was a challenge to not flood that beautiful bathroom. Should I ever have the opportunity to go to Santorini again, even if I'm rich, and even if they never mount the shower heads, I'll most definitely be passing up any five-star hotel to stay at Galatia Villas again.
