Wonderful colonial hotel at reasonable rate!

According to the tour guide this was the first ever hotel in Morelia. To this date it is well maintain. Romantic room, terrace, and bar. Breakfast is delicious and included. Great service from all staff. We were there a couple of weeks ago for 4 nights and were impressed.

Lovely restored building, friendly and helpful staff, great location and comfortable room. However, if you are there on a weekend, expect live music in the courtyard until midnight. Would definetely NOT RECOMMEND to stay at this property.. The building its beautiful itself and nice decorated but you would forget that when you're waken up by the lobbys music and the restaurant being setup at around 6 a.m. But its definetely worth a Margarita or even a meal at tje restaurant.

I just loved this hotel, this was my second visit to Morelia, to a Jazz Festival, and I wanted somewhere within easy walking distance of the venue but also close to the center. I booked as part of an Expedia travel package and experienced no problems at all. The hotel itself is an ex-palace, tastefully modernized, whilst retaining the original charm. […] The restaurant has to be one of the best in Morelia, and my room was clean and well maintained. Modernization included double glazed windows which eliminated street noise. The staff were friendly and very helpful, suffering my terrible Spanish with good humor. This was my second stay. The service could not have been more impeccable. The staff was extremely courteous and accommodating. The only fault I would mention is the lighting in the room...very low wattage bulbs, making it difficult to read.

This was my 6th trip to Morelia and 4th hotel there. Last time I stayed in Los Juaninos, which is very nice but more expensive. Also Cathedral bell bothered me, so this time I decided to try Soledad, as I liked its location and architecture. Great hotel, beautiful courtyard with good restaurant. It was a good stay. This hotel is more wonderful than I could have imagined. Beautiful courtyard with flowers, birds, fountain--in January! Most comfortable bed I've slept in in years. Excellent and friendly service. Everything top-drawer.

Excelent Hotel! A small and very nice hotel. Excelent location and very friendly staff. The hotel is like a small "Hacienda" (Spanish colonial building). The building is beautiful, even if you can not find a room there (which happens very often) try to go there to have breakfast in the weekend, the food and service is very good. The improvement I would […] do to the hotel, is that the rooms in the winter could be a little cold. The rooms do not have air conditioner/heater because the weather in Morelia most of the year is very stable and no need of artificial climate, just some days or weeks in the winter could be quite cold in the night (+/-10 c°), in those cases the employees of the hotel can borrow you one or two electric portable heaters, ask them about the heaters. One of the loveliest and most charming historic hotels I have stayed in. I travel abroad every month and this hotel has it all. modern, up to date rooms and bathrooms but old world charm as well. Friendly, professnal service, great food and the best margaritas I had in Mexico. I will definitely go back! Right in the heart of the historic area.

The room was much nicer than the pictures on the web. Although it was quite small it was very clean and comfortable with a lovely tiled bathroom. The only downside of the place was the noise, both from the street outside and people walking round the internal courtyard. The location is great- a block from the Catherdral and zocola- The courtyard is stunning- tranquil, beautifully laid out, the center piece for the bar, restraunt, or just sitting. Pedimos un cuarto silencioso. Nos dieron un cuarto que da a la calle. La puerta-ventana de vidrio doble no cerraba de arriba. Mucho ruido de la calle. pretende ser hotel-boutique y no lo es (regadera de hace 50 años). Precio alto por la calidad. Buena cama con demasiadas almohadas. Buena ubicación.

el lugar es increible, las habitaciones muy comodas... una sola queja seria en sabado por la noche el grupo de musica que toca hasta las 12. Imposible de escucharse en el patio y de descansar antes de medianoche; nos gusta la musica pero no coresponde al estilo y la tranquilidad de este lugar hermoso y romantico!
