"Overall great time"
Great service and staff. The view is incredible. Breakfast buffet included in stay was lovely. What did not work that well is the fact that we could only get two queen beds and we requested a king. They stated they were fully booked but the hotel didn't appear to be so. So of course that was not comfortable. Also the pool was not heated and in November it can be a bit chilly.

"Great Stay - Highly Recommend All-Inclusive Option"
Made a last minute change because of a great deal on this hotel. Their All-inclusive dine out plan was great as there are 4 or 5 good options onsite as well as 5 locations in the Marina included, and honestly we spent well over $200 a day on food and drinks so it was a huge savings and the patio bar staff, food and drinks were amazing. Its a great way to get all inclusive but not feel limited. The all inclusive also includes free shuttle service downtown, which is a rarity at most Cabo hotels. The rooms are suites, most with ocean views, ours included a relaxing Jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower, king sized bed, kitchenette, table, couch and balcony with seating. The rooms were very clean, our fridge was stocked daily with coffee, soda, water and beer (all included) The location and views from the rooms and the infinity pool and lounge areas are amazing, especially toward sunset, although the ocean side doesn't include your typical beach, but honestly that was not really an issue either. The staff were all incredibly friendly, and quick to respond to things. There are transports ready on demand to take you around the resort, and they were very upfront about how the all inclusive worked, and what might be additional charges (there weren't many things not included)

"Nice Hotel, close to the beach and access to town"
We enjoyed our stay, we did the all inclusive. We wouldn't recommend the all inclusive unless you are there to drink your vacation. The restuarants on property were very good, but the options off property were in the marina area were just average. The staff were very polite and friendly, but unable to comment on the activities or food on property, as it seems this group doesn't encourage/educate their employees to sample their own dishes. Overall a relaxing atmosphere. Recommend Building A, which is closest to the beach.

"Great views, but construction and some staff a con"
The property was very nice, clean and had beautiful views and most of the staff were very nice and friendly. The reception staff were not however and that's why I rated this lower than a 5. I booked 3 rooms for 5 people total and the staff found this extremely confusing. We utilized the all-inclusive and I'm not sure I would recommend that option after our experience. The hotel itself was nice, but there was a lot of construction right across from our rooms - that was not indicated to us prior to our stay. They did nothing to compensate for that inconvenience despite having booked 3 rooms in very low season. I found this surprising as I was traveling with friends for my 40th birthday and they could have made a small gesture to make up for all the inconvenience to build my loyalty and good word of mouth, but that was a missed opportunity (as a Marketing/business professional, I found this unfortunate for the business.

"Just a few drawbacks to superb"
Lets begin with the positives. We stayed in a 3 BR private villa which was over the top wonderful. All tile floors, granite countertops, full kitchen, private small infinity pool, jacuzzi and sweet view of the sea of Cortez. The shower was outstanding such that I took a picture so I could find the same shower head for home. It even a a small outside shower if you felt inclined to take a sun shower. Tech was decent. We had a dedicated computer in the room which worked perfectly. Some issues with hotel login and pw that had changed, but connection was good. One drawback is that the villas are about 1/3 mile from resort, so you have to call for golf cart, but they typically came fairly quickly. Resort itself is clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food in the 3 on site restaurants was very good to excellent. There were 4-5 additional restaurants in Cabo accessible by a 20 minute shuttle. I would STRONGLY advise not going to Baja Lobster. The food was awful and lobster was not covered by the all inclusive plan. This brings up my main beef with the resort. They are evidently a time share and run the resort with an all inclusive option. I prebooked this and saved some money. It is a hassle to sign for every drink or snack you eat. Also, some items aren't on the all inclusive plan - like bottle water! Overall a very good hotel, they just need to make it a true all inclusive.

"Nice Vacation Property disguised as a "Hotel""
This "All Inclusive Hotel", as it was advertised, was actually an "Investment Property". To start off, at sign in we were greeted with an explanation that the "All Inclusive Package" did not include internet, room service, lamb, lobster, wine, and other items and services that were confirmed as being included before we booked. I immediately complained about the Internet and room service because we had confirmed that it was included by Expedia before we booked. Another couple we spoke with advised they were being charged for shuttle service to and from the hotel to Cabo San Lucas on a daily basis even though they had paid for an "All Inclusive" package. I would advise you get everything in writing before you book with this property. Also, we were not informed that this was an "Investment Property" before we arrived. They offer to "Sell" you a vacation property at the facility but when we asked if the property would be in our names we were advised the property would be held by a "Trust" and we would be listed as a trustee. They really put on a hard sell telling you that this is an offer that will disappear once the meeting is over. When we asked to review the offer in writing we were accused of not being interested and shown the exit to the sales office. Beware of offers that seem too good to be true and especially those that are not in writing. We explained to the salesman, an American from Cleveland, that we have never committed to any large purchase without reviewing it.

"A little disappointing"
This hotel is beautiful as far as the property goes. There are also some very nice people that work here, however, there are clearly some management issues that need to be resolved. I would not recommend the spa, and be wary of ordering room service as they do not always deliver what you order, and are not necessarily all that timely with their service. I was hoping for more, given some of the awards that this property supposedly has received.

"Nice hotel - no beach access"
the hotel was very nice, with good facilities. No beach access was a shame and would have made it alot better. Staff service was very mixed, especially during meals. During our first dinner, they forgot our order, and many times we were just left to sit after we had arrived and had to chase a server down to order any food. Also for our room we were 3 adults and i booked a luxury suite and in the information it said there was a separate living and dining area but this was all one room, which made it a bit cramped. When we arrived we were also told there would be a turndown service to set up the sofa bed. But this never happened and at 11.30pm we were still trying to get bedding sent for this bed.

The grounds of this hotel are absolutely beautiful and they keep it in immaculate condition! The infinity pool is amazing and breakfast buffet is really good! My cons on this hotel are - the water temperature in the shower is terrible. It would go from steaming hot to freezing cold in a matter of seconds. Never giving you any kind of warning- I wouldn't stand directly in the water steam for fear of getting scalded, yes it was that hot. My second complaint is that there is a cute little taco bar called el Eden that everyone kept saying was incredible. However the night we went they served hamburgers, not tacos and then continued to have various theme nights the rest of the week. And they were not open for lunch. That was disappointing! We had a massage while we were there and they offered a nice promotion. The facilities were nice and staff was ok except our therapists whispered and giggled quietly while working on my husband and I , so that was slightly uncomfortable. Overall I would say the hotel has nice accommodations. We've been to Cabo before and stayed at the Hilton which is outstanding. So we were a little pickier than most when rating this hotel.

"Great Resort"
I had initially chosen this hotel on recommendation of a friend and because on Expedia a King Suite was listed. But we were given a suite with double beds when we arrived. We were told everything is just a "request" and nothing is guaranteed. It is an amazing resort. Every room has a balcony and every room is ocean side, some with views. We were there spring break time and the resort was not full. Even if it were, I think it would be pretty quiet. There were some families and younger people there, but mostly older crowd. This was our first time in the Cabo area. This hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown Cabo. Downtown was overwhelming with people and spring breakers. The hotel was the opposite and a great retreat when you wanted to escape the crazy. This hotel has a shuttle that costs 5$ per person to another resort right on the marina and then you also pay that for a ticket back to the hotel on the shuttle. The shuttle was an easy way to get in and out of town for far less than paying a cab which was $25. **The shuttles and taxis are BEYOND the people that will offer you timeshare presentations for a ride out of there. You do not have to stop and talk to them!!!! It is disorienting after going through customs, getting luggage in another section, pressing the button for random luggage searches in another area, then being forced to walk through people selling timeshares, THEN you get to the taxis.

"I would recommend again; not close to CITY"
I have to say this was an amazing place. Most reviews spot on. Although there is a favorable currency exchange (make sure you know what 1 U S D buys because a lot of the charges are in Pesos). PRO's very nice set up, didn’t get hit too hard to buy a timeshare (rejected every request for one; they are in phase 3 of 6) nice set up by the ocean (don’t get too concerned about the rocks as no one swims in the ocean anyway), make sure you find the 2nd pool near the ocean and watch the sunsets at The Point; highest spot near the time share sales office (round building) above the breakfast place. Dinners about 30/person at resort with themed nights most nights (included entertainment). Food was good. CON's: I wish it was a little easier to get to town to eat and do the local stuff (dedicated taxi service at the hotel) 1 mile to walk (up hill) for the 60 cent local bus service on the main drag.. taxi back to the hotel 27...their shuttle only goes every 2 hours, Five each way per person)...to a beach near the east side of the marina (if you were going to do something like the Cabo Rey dinner cruise (far West side of marina), its a serious hike or another taxi. Cant use the shuttle service you came into hotel with as the hotel taxi agreement is in place (to go back to the airport) SJD taxi fee (75 for 1 to 4 peeps plus 20 for every additional person so cost was about 20 each person; as was the shuttle). Car rental. internet prob 4 3 days; Mgt says not normal.

Major service/management overhaul needed. Line at the one (!) concierge desk everyday. Dinner reservations never confirmed. Multiple calls to management for help. Took forever to hear back (if at all). Servers unhappy. Many did not speak English. Smoking allowed all over property including at pools and in restaurants. No one could tell us how to get onto the beach (??). Our "Ocean View" room was in the back of the hotel facing a HUGE construction site. Lots of noise. Food was awful. "THE Happiest moments in my life"
It was my first time to Mexico and so was my wife & 6 yrs old son. (BTW, we just arrived home from this trip) I've been to many luxury resorts where I paid more than double to book than this Hacienda Encantada. I say this resort is the best. Every plate in breakfast, lunch and dinner were very very high quality. Juicy Angus beef and so so fresh seafood. Plus wonderful view with grew food. I think almost every room has ocean view and the sunset is amazing even at your own patio. But more than any other facility or programs, the service is TOP. You do not need to look for someone or wait. They really read your mind and check your needs all the time. I can't thank enough to Mr. Arodi. I believe what makes someone feel home and comfy is not hardware. It is their great energy and effort to make every guests feel relaxed, enjoy great time with their loving ones. That being said, Mr. Arodi means more than a guy who works there to me now. Not only he welcomes every morning, but he shares his good life story with guests so that we can feel more like a chatting with a friend. I usually do not go back to same resort so that I can try other facilities and different services. But I and my 6 yrs old son already miss this resort and Mr. Arodi. This resort is a true get away from your home for a relax and refresh. We hope to go to Los Cabos annually and Hacienda Encantada will be our place. Thank you so much for your great service Mr. Arodi.

"Great Hotel for All Inclusive deal"
A group of 11 of us went to celebrate my girlfriends 40th B-Day the staff was excellent. Karen from the Lobby is the best she explain us everything from A-Z and at the end we didn't end up with extra charges but what we pay for the all inclusive. The Infinity pool was to die for although the jacuzzi there was not that warm but it was perfect for me as I don't like to be super hot in the jacuzzi anyways. Meals were great, I'm from Mexican decent so if I said food was good believe me it was. The only exception was probably the breakfast which was average but I'm kind of picky when it comes to beans and chilaquiles. The only thing that it was a little over priced were taxi but I ended taking a regular nice bus to go to town and the shuttle that is included with your stay they run every hour or so. However if you are leaving to go dancing or to the clubs late at night make sure that you are there taking the shuttle 15 min or more because the shuttle don't wait even with a reservation. One last thing if you have purchase an all inclusive deal a 10% gratuity is already included so be aware to not over tip.

"Beautiful hotel, clean and great restaurants."
Most people there own a time share. With that said, when you check in they are going to try and sell you a time share. Once you get past that especially if you are not interesting in purchasing you will have a wonderful time. The restaurants are great, the rooms are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. It's a beautiful resort. The resort is about 30-40 minutes from the airport. I emailed the concerige before we went to make car arrangements. I would advise to make a reservation prior to your trip unless you are going to rent a car. The cost was $25 per person for the shuttle and then we took a private taxi back to the airport for $70 (totally worth it). Know that whoever you are booking your trip with that you can't get an oceanfront room if you do not own a timeshare. However you can get a room with an oceanview and I would highly recommend that. The pools are clean and just beautiful. They have a family pool and a quiet pool. The both have bars in the pool and the quiet pool has three or four infinite pools. Beautiful oceanview and sunsets. I would all recommend doing an all inclusive package. Just be very careful because some of the drinks we found out weren't included in the all inclusive package (fancy drinks in coconuts). They have golf carts that will pick you up and take you anywhere on the property. We walked everywhere. I wouldn't recommend a massage on the beach. If you are going to have a massage have it the spa. Gym was small but clean.

"A great stay - will be coming back."
Outstanding stay. I spend over 100 nights a year in hotel rooms and this was one of the best in quite a long time. The property is beautiful and the view are second to none. Overall, service was outstanding - a few small hiccups but overall they can be overlooked. Location is far enough from town that if you want piece and quiet you have it at the resort while still close enough to town that you can get there quickly and enjoy the Cabo nightlife. The all-inclusive plan was satisfactory but not great. The choice of beers was fine while the spirit selection under the plan was minimal at best. However, the food was outstanding overall and plenty of selection within the all-inclusive plan. Really enjoyed the stay overall and will definitely be coming back. I don't often say that as I stay in a ton of hotel and rarely find one that is just about perfect...this was one!

"Relaxation awaits."
H.E. is set up to make you forget your worries and leave your work behind. The hotel grounds are well manicured, colorful and calming. The buildings are clean and well maintained. We had an ocean view room with a large porch and galley kitchen. From the porch, we watched whales breaching and whale watch tours in the Gulf of California. Sunrises over the Gulf were magical and sunsets over "Land's End" equally stunning. A short ride to Cabo San Lucas allowed for brief escapes, though we were perfectly happy to stay on the grounds of the hotel. The service was top notch with many of the staff learning and remembering our names. The only criticism is the food and the restaurant service. The food was good, but not great. The service at the restaurants was mediocre compared to the rest of the experience. The staff at the restaurants were well mannered and well trained, but sooo slow. We preferred cabbing it to San Jose del Cabo for dinner or taking the shuttle to the Marina for sushi or Mexican food. We liked H.E. so much we have booked a trip there next winter!

"Beautiful grounds and room"
PROS: The facilities are immaculate. Finishes are beautiful (in rooms and around the site), and everything is new (seeming) and well-kept. Our room was immense with a kitchenette, living room, very large bedroom with sitting area, two large bathrooms, and a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. Everything was clean and tended. Additionally, the on-site food was generally very good -- something I was a bit worried about going in. I liked nearly everything we had at every restaurant, and the fancier restaurant was really delicious for dinner. CONS: The service was not terrible, but not as good as I was hoping. Everyone was courteous and kind, but meals arrived slowly, and the bars sometimes seemed understaffed (the employees were often working very hard to meet demand at the bars during mid-day). I also felt confused at first what was included in the all-inclusive package we had purchased and what would incur extra fees. We figured this out by asking repeatedly during our first couple days, and it ended up not being terribly difficult to navigate. Finally, upon arrival, part of their check-in involves setting up a "tour" the following day of the property and the residences. We did not go on this tour, as it seemed like it was definitely going to be a time share or other sale push. This was the only time we experienced this, but it was not welcome.

"Great Experience"
The best customer service ever. Everybody that works there is great. You call the front desk for a ride to reception or a restaurant and somebody is there to get you in less than 5 minutes. The food was good and bartenders were quick.
