"Unexpected quality for price and location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel's own website seems to understate its excellent location, as it has an opening into the main street of Sorrento just a short walk from the main square. It is within walking distance of the scenic old mill, the train station, the marina (with its outstanding seafood restaurants) and its stunning views of the bay of Naples and the hillside villas and hotels of Sorrento. The staff was very accommodating to our special needs, allowing us to leave our luggage and to use its restroom facilities even after we had checked out. Also, the price of the rooms was reasonable. Our party did not take the advice of the female night clerk who recommended that we eat at the restaurant next door; instead, we ate at Ristorante Delfino at the marina (which I also highly recommend).

"Near train Station and Walking distance to Sights"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Very happy with Hotel Sorrento City. Staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful. Room was very comfortable with the only drawback being the TV in the room had only one Engligh speaking channel (MTV...ugh). Excellent location and easy to find right on the main street near the train station. Very good breakfast and free Wi-Fi included which worked very well in the room. Highly recommend Hotel Sorrento City.
"Should be a six star close to Air Port"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
We were going back to Charlotte NC. From the moment tbat we steped into the lobby area, We were greeted, taken care of. The hotel management to the person that carried our baggage to our room I felt that I was coming back to friends. I will stay at this hotel when ever I am in Naples. It was an outstanding short stay. What a palace.

A desirably picturesque tourist haunt, Moorish-style houses cling to Positano’s steep hillsides. It’s a pleasant walk down to the small grey beach and fishing harbour via narrow, flower-decked alleyways and steps, but the return journey takes some effort (luckily there’s a bus). A domed church is Positano’s main landmark. The town celebrates the Feast of the Assumption on 15th August by re-enacting a famous victory against the Saracens.

It was easy to get to know the staff at the front desk. They were locals who love there town and being hospitable. They advised us of pros and cons of various activites and dining experiences. Their keynote scent for their halls and amenities is a fine grape scent. The view from our room was amazing. You must also consider the cooking class offered […] by their restaurant. It was a highlight of our trip! Read more
"Great choice"
The Buca de Bacco hotel in Positano is in a perfect location, right up from the beach and centrally located. Exceptional and attentive service. Good sized room....we got the extended patio with table/chairs plus 2 lounge chairs to overlook the exceptional views. Restaurant was fabulous and has been serving since about 1916. Easy access to water taxi's, […] ferries and taxi's. Would definitely go back and plan on it. Read more
