Great location to grab the train and see the rest of Tokyo. We were only there for one night off a cruise ship but hotel was priced great, clean, and comfortable. Wifi was free but only available in the lobby. But you cant beat the price for the location and the hotel.

It met the needs of somewhere to shower and sleep at night. I guess I may be spoiled by the size of the room and bathroom I had at Swissotel Nankai in Osaka. The bed took up 3/4 of the room, the closet only had 3 hangers, which I think is appropriate, because you could only fit 3 jackets in there. There was only 1 suitcase stand, and barely room for […] that, so my other suitcase was on the floor and in the way. We wondered how the cleaning person even cleaned the room other than making the bed, since our stuff was littered across all other usable space. The desk was usable for a laptop, so that met our needs. There was only a wired internet connection, no wireless, so I ended up buying a travel router so that I could share the internet connection among multiple devices. The bathroom was functional, but very small. My wife had quite a bit of trouble juggling her hair/skin/facial products around on the counterspace. The included soap/shampoo/conditioner was actually really good, better than what I've had in other hotels, and the sponges they provide for showering were quite good as well. The staff were pretty helpful, though when I asked for three foam pillows, they could only provide me with two, and they were some sort of foam/beanbag hybrid which weren't that comfortable. The bed was also a bit firm, which my wife enjoyed, but it left me a little sore most mornings. Take this with a grain of salt if this is common for Tokyo, I've never stayed at any other hotel in Tokyo. Read more

I enjoyed my stay again in this hotel. It's so convenient to many locations nearby, like the post office across the street, Krispy Kreme, Starbucks, Shinjuku station, etc. The staff was very helpful. Hotel is near the Shinjuko Train station, We didnt realize how close it was, until we hopped in a taxi and well it was a 2 block trip.. How embaressing. The hotel has a nice lobby, and rooms were sufficient. Its on a side street, so its a couple blocks walk to anything exciting.

I stay here frequently and consider this one of the best values in Tokyo. Clean rooms, free internet, one block from Shinjuku station and a decent breakfast at a reasonable price for Tokyo. Also, there is a nice bar and dinner restaurant on site, too. The only thing missing is a fitness center, but you can't have everything for a great price.

First visit of this hotel last week. Family vacation of 2 adults and a 3 yrs old kids. Booked Standard Queen Room. Lobby impression is not bad, but after checked in, the room is so small that no wardrobe, we have to hang our clothes on the wall ( ridiculous ). Bed Size already covered 3/4 of the room space, leaving me no space to place my 2 standard […] luggage. TV was placed alongside the bedside table, while sitting on my bed, have to turn 90 degree to watch TV ! Carpet is dirty, No housekeeping after 3:00 pm, and also no room service before 5:00pm even though restaurant is open. From my observation, every standard queen room is the same. The hotel is well located within a few minutes walk from Shinjuku station south terrace exit. Staff speaks good English and they are really helpful. Rooms are nice and clean but a little small, but i suppose that is not an issue since it's Tokyo! I will definitely stay in this hotel again in my coming visit to Tokyo.

This is a great no frills hotel! Beautiful common spaces, comfortable beds and rooms, well equipped bathroom. Single rooms are not large and there's not too much storage space, but they have everything you may need in a short stay. The location is superb, right on one of Tokyo's three major hubs. The free Internet works very well.

The hotel room (double bed economy) was very small, we couldn't fit 2 suitcases on the floor to use and manage our clothes out of the passage. But is was clean. The other room I booked with twin beds was larger than ours and very confortable.

in a quieter side of Shinjuku, airport bus stop right at the front door, and a couple of blocks from Shinjuku station. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Go with a bigger room if you can, it worths the money to have a bigger bed to sleep in.

This was a small room -- just big enough for a double bed (pushed into the corner), a desk and a TV. There was no place to put our clothing or our suitcases other than up against the wall. The Location is perfect. The room is not very big, but it is clean and comfy. The breakfast is very good, but a little pricey. Internet Wifi is not good at the lobby or second floor. I had a great time staying here. This is the hotel that I book when in Tokyo. It's very convenient to the post office and Shinjuku station. It's nice that the Limousine bus stops here, too. The breakfast buffet has a nice selection of Japanese and Western foods. The hotel is very clean and the staff is nice and helpful.

Stayed in the Sunroute during the week before Thanksgiving. We landed in Tokyo late, so checked in near 11pm. The staff was courteous and got us to our room in 20 minutes. Room IS a little small (it is Japan), but a big plus was the ability to open the window for some fresh air. The quarters were snug for my wife and myself with just enough room for […] our suitcases on the side of the bed. No vent in the bathroom, so not a huge deal, but there will be moisture in the room if you leave the door open. Hotel is across the street from a post office. There entrance to Shinjuku station just outside the hotel or you can cross the large intersection to the main station entrance, it's a block. Free wifi on the 1st and 2nd floor. Restaurant isn't worth eating at as the food was only ok. You are better walking down the street to the other restaurants. At the end of the block there is a 24hr noodle shop that's decent as everything except bars close before 11pm. The hotel staff speak fairly good english. Read more

Do NOT choose this hotel if you must have WiFi. There is NO WiFi in any room, and the guest lounge/lobby WiFi worked about half the time during my 10-day stay. The lack of In-room WiFi is unacceptable in 2012 (iPhones, iPads, etc.) and especially for a hotel in this price category.

I expected the rooms to be small in Japan but I didn't expect it to be that small. Narita Airport Hotels are twice the size. I love the location and the surrounding city life with lots of people. Close to Shibuya a even busier night lift. Wish the carpets would be cleaner and that the bathroom to smell better. You can even smell the balmy/sweaty stinch […] on the housekeeping carts as you walk by it when they are cleaning the rooms. Although they do provide good toiletries.
