A really lovely hotel.It's fair to say some areas are a little faded & tired but our room had been newly decorated, we had a lovely King size bed & I enjoyed a nice soak in the fab deep roll top bath, the shower was a decent size as well. Great as a base for wandering around Tunbridge Wells. Nice friendly, modern hotel. The room, particularly the bathroom, was to a very high standard. We booked this hotel as we have a dog and not only was it great that he could stay with us, but allowed in the bar area too! As we have family in Tunbridge Wells, we will definitely be booking again.

Stayed at hotel to attend wedding at Hever Castle nearby. Staff were happy to accommodate our requests with regards to arriving early and then returning late. Room was clean and warm. Breakfast was nice and service efficient.

Staff were friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable although the en suite bathroom was cold - no heating in there! Breakfast was good - we both had full English - and served promptly. No problems and no complaints. We would certainly stay there again.

Friendly helpful staff. Handy for local amenities. Breakfast cooked to order. Complimentary toiletries in rooms plus tea/coffee. Decor looking tired and shabby. Not all rooms suited for storing clothes etc for a couple - furniture styled to suit room rather than for practical purposes.

Stayed here, and thought just because it's for one night we'll do a three star hotel. Glad that we chose this one. Great location, amazing breakfast, but most importantly, a very comfy room. Place has got great character, breakfast was first class...no complaints about service, booking in, booking out, comfort of bed, brilliant shower....the only thing I would pull the hotel up for was the room I was in, is a little tired i.e. damp patches could do with a lick of paint on ceiling, bathroom light mold in between grout of bathrooom tiles...You […] can see they are refurbing slowly, probably one room at a time, just had one that hadnt been done yet...saying tghis I would stay there again, excellent location & views from room over Royal Tunbridge... Room v clean and staff v friendly. Unfortunately, my room had a pub garden outside so sleep before closimg time was not possible !! Also, having the December / Christmas menu in the lift during the middle of January was not a great advert for the resturant !! Not enough parking either so arrive early !!

We were made welcome right away on arriving at this hotel by the friendly and welcoming reception staff, they offered to keep the kitchen open a little late for us to allow us to eat dinner in the restaurant (we arrived just after 9pm). The room was small but beautiful, everything we needed plus a 4 poster bed! The view wasn't great (back of a building […] and a bit or a car park) but we didnt mind at all as we didnt book the room for the view. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious, very well cooked. Staff were very friendly and polite, both in the evening and again at breakfast. The "Wells" is a quaint old hotel overlooking the town of Tunbridge Wells. Just a short walk and you are at the Pantiles, the place to be for tourists. The staff were very helpful and courteous, a rarity in a lot of hotels. The breakfast which was included was great and got us off to a good start every morning. Great pub in the hotel which was nice […] to have a drink in after a day of sightseeing. The only draw backs as far as the room goes are the lack of air conditioning(which we knew when we booked), and the shower, which allowed water to flow all over the floor. But despite this we had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Royal Tunbridge Wells. Read more

We stayed here for two nights in April and apart from it being difficult to find initially we had a very enjoyable stay. Our front facing room had amazing views over the town and a huge roll-top bath in the en-suite. The staff were very helpful and friendly both on arrival and during our stay.
