      La Caletta was a wonderful little hotel on the far end of the harbor with a great swimming and umbrella area. It has the advantage of being right on the wate, past the busy street with restaurants and shops. Ignore GPS and mapquest--you will never find it that way if you are driving. just drive into Argentario and follow the streets along the harbor edge all the way to the far end, passing the Coast Guard station. It is just past there. The maid service was the best I have seen in years--a spotless room, they give you beach towels but you must ask, the gentleman at the desk speaks several languages and is very very helpful and pleasant. The AC works well, not always the case in European hotels, the bed comfortable and not as hard as some in Europe. The decor is shabby chic, thinking 1950s Daytona Beach Florida, but spotless. The breakfast is a good spread, with the ability to get scrambled or fried eggs on request. Would recommend this as a lovely little place to spend a couple of nights.

      We are praising this hotel highly. However, we recognize that others may not feel the same, as our expectations of travel are different from many people's. We were looking for a hotel near Civitivecchia after a cruise. We wanted to see the antiquities in Tarquinia, and this filled the bill. It is a quaint little hotel with a terrace overlooking the sea and surrounding countryside. The price we paid was exceptional, thus our high ratings in value for the money. It has a restaurant, although we did not eat there. The room is simply adequate, with a comfortable bed. The location is easy to get to on a free shuttle bus right near the public bus from Civitivecchia. There is also a public bus for e.60 (yes euros, 60 cents!) to the train station, every 20 minutes. So all is very handy. You can walk to this hotel from that location in 5 minutes without a suitcase, and 10 minutes, with. Finally, the people who work there go out of their way to try to help you in English and to see that your stay is comfortable. We greatly appreciated their efforts!

      The hotel was clean with great amenities for Italy. We just stayed one night but would definately come back. The staff was very friendly in the hotel and restaurant.

    La posizione dell'albergo e' piu' adatta alla visita dell'entroterra, perche' e' un po' distante dal mare. La struttura e' classificata 4 stelle, ma le camere nella costruzione chiamata "Fattoria" (a 800 metri di percorso sterrato dal corpo principale) non sono sicuramente allo stesso livello delle altre. All'arrivo ci è stata assegnata una di queste […] camere anche se la prenotazione prevedeva una camera Superior. Nel bagno, pur essendo adeguatamente pulito, era inoltre costantemente presente un odore sgradevole proveniente dallo scarico della doccia. L'arredamento lasciava a desiderare. A seguito delle nostre rimostranze, soltanto dopo 3 notti ci e' stata data una camera diversa (in realta' un piccolo bilocale situato in un'altra struttura vicino alla Fattoria) molto carina, con un soggiorno con angolo cottura, un bel bagno, una camera da letto ben arredata e addirittura un giardinetto con ombrellone e sdraio. La pulizia e' ottima e il personale che riordina le stanze e' gentile e disponibile. La piscina della Fattoria non e' molto grande, ma e' immersa nella natura e il suono dell'acqua si unisce piacevolmente ai suoni della campagna circostante. Nota dolente, la colazione: la scelta e' limitata e le fette biscottate erano scadute da qualche giorno. Il ristorante e' decisamente caro: meglio scegliere un ristorantino a Capalbio o Manciano, a pochi km di distanza. La struttura principale e' stata ristrutturata molto bene. Peccato per alcune cadute nella qualità nel servizio. Read more

    Sehr schön Anlage, sehr nette Bedienung, gutes Essen. Das Hotel liegt aber weit weg vom Meer und von anderen turstischen Seenswürdigkeiten. Zu empfehlen für eine Etappe (1-2 Tage) bei einer Rundreise. Nur mit dem Auto erreichbar.
